I would give this place no ratings at all. Shady place with the worst form of service ever. The food was really bad and it was a let down considering the fact that I had read good reviews about it on Unilocal.everything that we ordered was a lot like a couple of ingredients just mixed together and put onto a plate to call it a dish.

We had an incident about a year ago and never ever went back. This place is a joke. They have the WORST customer service. We literally walked in and this man was sitting down on his phone, seeing customers he proceeded to keep the conversation going. 15 minutes later he is still on the phone, sitting there and no one else come out. That is not okay. Beyond ridiculous. That’s the short version btw. Anywhoo, I have friends that go here and I just sat while they ordered because I don’t get anything from this place anymore(I go across the street). Well we went the other night and her sweets were rock hard! That’s gross, it was obviously old. The only reason I’m okay with giving 1 star is because I had a bite of her samosas and it was good. Otherwise I would just rate it a ZERO star if I could.

I get food here twice a month to take home. It is a family run business and all vegetarian. This place is super popular with a variety of clientele. It is a good place for people watching. The sweets are great(especially the kalakand and berfi) but they have delicious chana masala, saag, and kulchas. Great, I am hungry now that I wrote this review.

Some of my friend refers me here but it was bad experience. I bought samosas… It was not fresh as well as the Taste was literally bad. Chatni was like I m eating some kind off Indian curry. I will not recommend anyone.

My dad comes here for our jelebi and it’s perfect! Not too syrupy with the right amount of crunch. They are consistent with what they offer, and you get more than what you pay for. Service has been great the past few times we’ve come here and a very different experience from what some of the other reviewers have described

Gross. Just yuck! I was really looking forward to some delicious snacks. Im the last time I was here, sure the place was dirty but the food was good. I can eat in a semi dirty place bc I’ve eaten off street vendors while abroad. But this time it was weird. The place was clean! But the food tasted old, mildew-y and too salty. There were maybe four beans in our platter and it was drowned in off-tasting sauces. The crisps were a little stale too. A few other patrons came in but they only ordered drinks and left. Now I know better. Parting is such sweet sorrow. What happened???

The similarly named Bombay Sweets in Houston has quite a bit more to offer, which was why I stopped by this place.

This is the worst place I have eaten so far. We ordered pani puri and aloo paratha. Pani puri, they just gave some pieces of potato and the sweet pani was like sugar syrup. The aloo paratha was the most disgusting thing I have tasted so far. They have forgotten what they are cooking. Please don’t go to this place. I wonder how they are surviving and people actually go to this place. I would rate it negative stars if available. I think they should close down the place asap :(

I had a veg thali platter that was hot and just ok. The naan was too dry and the other bread was dripping in oil. The behl puri was not flavorful and i had to ask for extra sauce and onions. Spent 11bux for which i can eat at a nice pioneer blvd sit down restaurant with a real tablecloth and a waiter. I will not be back. Love the snacks at india sweets and spices on sepulveda in torrance. Tastier, larger portions, and cheaper.

This is a nice little mom and pop snack shop. I don’t hate it, and I’m not in love with it either; meaning that, I won’t drive from San Diego just to visit this place. They had good falooda and chai. I ordered a piece of kaju kathali. It was not fresh. Even the kaju kathalie I brought back from Jaipur, and ate a week later, was fresher than this.

My family and I come here when we are craving Indian snacks with a little extra fat while doing our ethic shopping around little India. The shop has expanded since we first came to included a larger sit down area. We usually purchase their jalebi and chakri to take home. Not the healthiest but what deep fried foods are anyways. We haven’t had any problems with customer service and the fresh hot snacks are greasy but satisfying(why I knocked off a star). When ordering sit down we usually go for the chana batura and dosas. The pani puri is ok, my parents weren’t fans though. Remember to grab some water as well! I would like to try the paranthas in the future. Will update when possible. Cheers!

Was in a tire shop nearby as they worked I walked here for some snacks. Amazing place is loaded with food stuff. Most of it from Indian Punjab region. Bought the Dal mong for snacking and ordered Maki ke roti and Saag with Ajar on the side. This was a amazing deal and superb taste and all for less then 10 bucks, I also got three of these Maki(corn flour) rotis to go to eat at home. Watched videos of bollowood movies as I waited for my food. In the end we talked about the Malaysian plane and everyone agreed it was in Diego Garcia.

Their food is all awesome. Here is what I have to order every time(2 people share): — Chaat Special(appetizer) — Paneer Dosa — Faluda Drink or Mango Laasi — Ras Malaai(dessert) Only reason I have it 4 stars is because they might update furniture and appearance of store.

If I’m out anywhere near Artesia, I make a point to stop by Bombay Sweets & Snacks. I wouldn’t make the trip out of LA just for it, but if I want pani puri, this is the place. We take it to go and are given a bag of fried balls, spiced water for dipping and chutneys for drizzling. Feels like we’re on a street corner in Delhi right in our own home! I once ate in and wasn’t so impressed with the bhel puri, and since I haven’t heard my Indian husband clamoring to go back, I can guess he’s satisfied getting most of his chaat at Samosa House back in LA. The interior wasn’t much to comment on either, so my vote is to get your goodies to go like we do. I haven’t had pani puri outside of India that tastes nearly as good as the stuff they’re selling here, so if you’re in the area, definitely make a point to try it out.

This place gets 2 stars for being Meh… and A-OK. Nothing spectacular and the wait? too long! Yes, the food comes out fresh but you want me to wait 30 mins. when there is only one customer in front of me? Are you kidding? I rather go down the street to another Sweets & Snack store and have my fill. Therefore, it will be a while before i come back for a combo plate from here. Nothing spectacular, but if you don’t mind the wait for mediocre food. then this place is for you. :)

Slightly overpriced but delish south asian sweets. Come in and point through the window for tasty sweet treats. Ordered: Gulab Jamun Rosogolla Mini Rosogolla Stuffed Gulab Jamun YUM. Stuffed Gulab jamun was OK but the originals were super tasty! Recommend to desi sweet lovers.
