This place was amazing and they changed into a new management. The new name was«CHENNAIDOSACORNER», as they introduce the South Indian dishes as well as the old one. Food was great of the taste of India. The guy ask to try some dosa and it’s really amazing. they were specialised for dosa. And the real South Indian dishes. Will be there to have dosa.

The place is really small but with some excellent food. Mine fav are the paranthas that come with curd, pickle & tea & thats just for $ 4.99. I always drop by here whenever I come to LA for my food. Just give a try to their paranthas, you will definitely love it

Excellent down n’ dirty hole in the wall ~ perfect for Indian buffet lunch, something I am not usually a fan of! My friend, a local and Indian-American, recommended this place to take another friend for her first experience with Indian food. Big smiles and happy tummies all around, let me tell you! Highlights: Paneer — One of the few places I actually enjoy paneer at. Bhindi Masala ~ Tasty, tasty okra TENDER chicken in both the butter chicken and tandoori variety. Owners are funny and friendly. Just stop reading this already and go there for lunch. I plan to return.

The aloo paratas are 4.99 each. Pretty expensive isn’t it? Now go ahead and eat it. Doesn’t seem as expensive does it? The paratas are thick, HUGE, hot and extremely tasty. You really can’t find any better anywhere else. The place is a hole in the wall. They have a BIG buffet spread for such a small place. I haven’t tried it yet but I will soon. If it were anything like the paratas, I guess I’m in for a treat.

EXCELLENT Indian buffet, and this place certainly gives The India Restaurant and Ashoka the Great a run for their money. Literally, the buffet is only $ 7.99 and includes a bunch of vegetarian and meat dishes, including my favorite, goat curry! But don’t take my word for it because you have to see and taste it to believe it. Everything is on point, from the garlic and regular naan, to the savory and sweet chutneys, tandoori chicken that slides off the bone, to chicken curries, a smörgåsbord of Indian goodness. Also, theirs is probably the best rice pudding I’ve ever had. You can taste the cardamom and real almond slices. You also don’t have to worry about the metered/paid parking that have been springing up around Pioneer. This place is in a plaza with its own private lot so free ample parking is no problem.

Good parathas and chutni was awesome. However only expect a dhaba type of food, it is not like a restaurant.

Their PARATHA’s are to die for!!! Let’s not get started with their other items! Absolutely delicious! I’ve been here many times. And tried almost everything. Butter chicken, chicken curry, shrimp saag!, lamb curry. Everything is amazing. I’ve been to many other locations and didn’t seem to like it after eating here. Highly recommended. They will not disappoint you :)

This place is a whole in the wall, a real dhaba, but the food is the truth. Starter: Aloo Chaat, for a few bucks you be hard pressed to fun a better deal. What you get is a zesty tangy and sweet combination of flavors. Entrée: we ordered paneer masala and bhindi masala. The food was amazing. A well coordinated blend of spices and aromas appealing to multiple senses. This is a small mom and pop type shop, literally, but you can taste the authenticity in the food. Good food good value

Apna specializes in Punjabi street stall food(dhaba-style). The American equivalent of a dhaba is probably a pop-up restaurant minus the hipster/gaudiness. When Punjabi food is discussed, tandoori meats, palak paneer, and butter chicken often come to mind. Those are perennial classics but in the wintertime, a seasonal dish called«makki di roti sarson da saag» is more widely eaten. It consists of thick corn flour rotis, thickness like pancake but with a more brittle texture, eaten with a creamy curry made from crushed mustard leaves and spinach. Apna, one of the few places on the Pioneer strip to serve this Punjabi favorite, makes this hearty sarson da saag curry with the right balance between pungent & bitterness(from the mustard leaves) and earthiness(from the spinach). The leafy vegetables used in this dish no doubt helps stimulate the digestive system. I recall clogging the toilet that night after consumption. During my last visit, I ordered Apna’s special paratha. It was served with a cup of hot masala chai and pickles. Although parathas are typically eaten by Indians during breakfast, they are also served during the evenings at Apna. Several variations are offered, but I chose the mooli filling. Mooli is also known as daikon. The chefs smother the daikon with spices, grate them, and stuff the combination into the paratha, a type of unleavened wheat bread cooked on the tawa and is much thicker than naan. The paratha that I received was humongous, approximately the size of an individual pizza, and the daikon filings were crunchy and extremely spicy. The flavors were magnificent. Moreover, the bread was covered with a layer of melted butter and ghee, making the bread a bit greasy but tasty. This exemplified dhaba style food — greasy, oily, and heavily spiced. Unlike many other eateries in Little India, service was attentive and the waiter was highly patient despite being new to the restaurant. As I walked out, I grabbed a menu and noticed two exotic items worth trying next time: bakra achaar(boneless mutton pickle) and machi di pakora(Amritsar fish fry). Can’t wait to try them.

I’ve really like shahi paneer and I’ve been searching for a place that makes it creamy and delicious the way I used to get it from this Indian restaurant from Tustin. The food here is good and the service is always great! I have always encountered very courteous staff. I usually do take out but they do have an all you can eat lunch for about $ 7 that I want to try.

I loved their Allu Parata, Paneer Parata’s. They were really huge and very filling. They had buffet and perhaps next time I will have buffet. I guess it was owner who was serving and taking orders. Very pleasant and took time to explain about the new things they have added. They also have place in Corona.

Had aloo paratha n veg biryani. Aloo paratha was one of the best I had in Los angeles, while veg biryani was Ok. There were two new(girl n boy) servers, they were courteous but they were doing minor mistakes. But that’s completely ok… everyone learns in some part of life. The owner was really courteous. He came n told everyone if we wanted anything extra, he will be happy to give. Actually owner himself packed the left over extra biryani n told to pack us extra Raita. 6 stars for owner attitude to serve 5 stars for food 3 stars for ambience 2 stars for parking spa Overall, we are going back again, and again.

We had some friends visiting from the east coast and we took them to this place to eat. We ordered items like goat biryani, aloo paratha, paneer pakoras, fish they were all very good and our friends really enjoyed the food. One of our friend said the paratha tastes like the one via mom makes so you can imagine it must be very good. Give it a try and know for urself. I would highly recommend it. One thing i wish they can do is have the bathroom a bit more clean and make the place a bit more lively. But food wise it is definitely good.

It’s Christmas. So what do you do when you don’t celebrate Christmas? You go to Artesia. They still had their buffet up when we went at 4, so that was nice. My friends and I decided we’ll try the buffet. I’m always weary of buffets because every single restaurant uses box masala which contains preservatives and ajinomoto(msg). My friend is hyper sensitive to both. Plus, let’s face it, buffet items are left outside for most of the day. Not that appetizing after a while. The buffet has 4 nonveg items, rice, and tons of vegetarian options. Also included is a salad bar with fruits, naan with us served to you, and desserts. The curries were largely lackluster. And two bites in, my friend was having am unpleasant time. Sorry man. Nothing special in terms of taste. Naan was. uh…how do I say this. Probably not made there. At least some of them. Two of the four naans had no evidence of being in a tandoor, which you can tell from the back of the naan. But two other naans had marks and clay still on them. Kheer was not that great. Gulab jamuns were amazing. We also ordered gobi paratha, alloo paratha, and paneer paratha to go. The best thing from this place. THEYAREHUGE. And the taste is amazing. Avoid the buffet and just order the parathas. Two stars are based on these alone. The guy serving us was nice. Kept asking us if everything was alright. And taking plates away. The place is clean and a slight improvement appearance wise from Sukhadia. Over night edit: okay. I learned my lesson. No more buffets after 2pm. My poor friend has gotten ill. Not sure if it was this place.

My new favorite place in Cerritos! The owners are extremely nice and welcoming! The restaurant is not fancy so don’t expect any ambiance, but the owners are friendly and the food is good. The thing to eat here are the paranthas(Indian stuffed bread) with lassi(Indian yogurt drink) and tea! The paranthas here are made Punjabi style and so are huge and absolutely delicious! They are so big I am tempted to call them pizza paranthas! The paranthas were not oily(a big plus), made fresh and crunchy! My favorite was the paneer stuffed parantha followed by the gobhi(cauliflower) and aloo(potato) ones. The paranthas come with yogurt and pickles, both which are delicious and go perfectly with it! My husband and parents had the lassi and they loved it! They have different kinds of lassi so don’t be afraid to try them! The tea as well was very good and I enjoyed myself thoroughly! I would suggest skipping the other items on the menu and sticking to the paranthas and you will not be disappointed! So if you’re in craving a Punjabi breakfast or just love paranthas in general then this is the place to come!

My first time eating at Appna Dhaba and It’s in a prime location. It’s about a mile or 2 from the mall. The service was delightful and the aroma, appreciated. I ordered the Lamb Curry — spicy which also includes a side of rice. The curry is borderline hot, but not enough to ruin the meal(perfect for my palate). It’s spicy enough to have you reaching for a glass of… water. Sorry, I’ll need to try the Lassi and buffet. Veg and non-veg so it can fit your diet. Definitely one of the better restaurants I’ve tried.

I guess my last review got deleted somehow. THIS place Is great! The food is flavorful and spicy Compared to other Indian buffets in the area, and their desserts are seriously the best. The staff is super nice, which you don’t really see a lot around here. Over all, best buffet in little india. Surprisingly affordable too!

The owner said it’s halal meat, I hope he didn’t lie to do business Food was really good. When I go to Artesia, I don’t keep high hopes. Cuz most of the time, the foods are not that tasty. Something’s missing, maybe the flavor or maybe the spice/salt. But this place was rich in flavor & the food tasted fresh Usually when I go to Indian places, I try to avoid biriyani, cuz there’s no way they’re cooking one small plate of that for me. Means, the biriyani is sitting there for few hours(or maybe few days) so we tried their chicken tikka, chicken tikka masala, paneer tikka masala, palak/saag paneer & few other stuffs. And we loved all of them. Their lunch set menus are good deal. I wish they’d have a brunch close to me It’s a must try place if u’re in Artesia or love indian food
