The best Calzone I’ve ever had! We waited a long time, and they are pretty expensive, but it was well worth it.

It’s a great atmosphere, but it is a small place. They have great pizza, make it right there in front of you, exhibition style. The other day I had the best pizza I had on the central coast, and it was at Palo Mesa. I had the BBQ Chicken pizza, but with white sauce. Best pizza I have had on the Central Coast. Go in and try it.

I’m so disappointed not only in the delivery, but also the customer service over the phone! They brought my order, and forgot half of it, then didn’t come back! When I called to inquire about the other half of my order the girl on the phone was very rude with no customer service! Will never order again!

I love the pizza and sandwiches at Palo Mesa Pizza– the location in Arroyo Grande is small but convenient for me. If I order by phone they are prompt and courteous-price is worth it because I don’t care for cheap pizza! I love the quality and the gourmet recipes they come up with– no wonder they win in Vegas when they compete with the best!!! Love them!!!

This place has great tasting pizza. And their sandwiches are okay. But I just paid over $ 40 to wait ANHOURAND A HALF for two medium pizzas that arrived COLD. And when I asked for«extra cheese» when I ordered, they must have heard, «remove all cheese from the pizzas cuz gooey, melted cheese belongs nowhere near a pizza!» This is the third time in a row my food has been late, cold and WRONG. I’m done.

Years of hit-or-miss quality have taken its toll. This time: extra-large half cheese, half Hawaiian $ 30.19. Burnt, poor topping distribution and — no joke — an extra $ 8 for very sparse Hawaiian(see pic). It’s $ 4 for each additional topping on an extra-large, even if it’s only half the pizza. That means $ 8 for what was way less than a dollar product on the pizza. I’m not guessing, I worked in the pizza business for over eight years and I know product prices. I could barely taste the ham, simply not enough of it. Oh, and the slices were not cut through. Pfft. Previous pizzas we have ordered half and half. Say, all pepperoni, half pineapple. What do we get? All pineapple, with only half pepperoni. Not once, but twice. Then there was the time we ordered ahead for about eight pizzas for a birthday party and when we showed up to pick them up they had no idea what we were talking about. Took a while before they found a note telling that morning crew about our order. Doh! One time we showed up for a called-in order and they forgot to send it through on the computer. Oops. Only the last two instances did we address the issues because we were already in the store. We said it was fine and not to worry. No sense in being mad at the people making your food. They were polite and apologetic. We are not ones to call and complain; however, should subpar product be going out the door? The dine in area is nice and accommodating for a group and they have high chairs. The cheesy bread used to have cheese that went to the edge(at the first store at least) and now it has a solid inch-plus of crust. I know cheese is expensive, but I ordered CHEESE bread. Bummer. I would go back for the Mikayla(spelling?) pizza and that’s all. Not that they haven’t messed that up too. Sometimes it’s lacking garlic; usually missing cilantro. When they first offered it, the toppings were always in good proportion and it tasted great. Now I wonder, what’s going to be missing this time?

Pizza is a little pricey but definitely one of the best in the area. Being new to AG, we had the pleasure in trying the majority of the pizza joints in the area and by far Palo Mesa was where we returned time and time again. The dough is just right and the sauce close to perfection with just a hint of sweetness. The best part is the cheesy goodness right when it comes out. There’s nothing better than taking a bite watching the cheese stretch out and fall onto ones chin!

Pizza is good at this location on Rancho Pkwy BUT After 2 separate times INTHELAST2 weeks… and at least 30 calls/messages left/FB/Yelp attempts to order… Went over to store to order. TOOKOVER1HOURFOR1med(THEYLOST) &1 lg that was stone cold due to the wait to cook the med. No manager watching the crew! Many disgruntled customers

Best gluten free pizza in town. Hubby gets the regular and he likes it too. A little pricey but you get what you pay for. All of the ingredients are so fresh and of great quality. Ken’s favorite is my favorite.

The pizza is a little pricey, but it was good. Nice place to drink cold beer and watch a game on the tv while you eat.

We had pizza and crazy bread. Both we’re great! Fresh ingredients all the way. The crazy bread was better than I expected. Service was fast and our cashier was really friendly. The wait time was appropriate for a Saturday night at 7:00, not long at all. We’ll be back.

I just made a walk up order at 6:11pm; sm cheese, med linguisa with peppers and onions, and a lg sausage onion and mushroom. They said 35 minutes… Sounds like a long time but they are busy… Let’s see. The staff is friendly and working hard. There’s a pretty good vibe and the décor is pleasant. They have a nice selection of bottled beer too. One note, Siri took me past the restaurant and into a residential area. I had to turn around and find it on my own. It’s easy to find though. Battery’s low so I’ll pick this up later! So far the still have all of their stars.

Excellent pizza! Yes, this place was totally disorganized and they sort of lost our order and their computer system crashed, etc. BUT the people were so nice and they actually comp’d our meal since the payment system was down. We left a very generous tip to make up for the payment issue. We’ve eaten some great pizza in San Francisco, and this place was more than equal! If you’re on vacation in Pismo Beach area, give this place a try.

Where should I start? They are known for the best pizza in town for a reason! Have had almost the whole menu an have been satisfied beyond belief! I recommend trying the taco pizza, amazing! Our if not feeling for the pie, then hit up there stuffed herbed ricotta cheese shells that is covered with meat sauce an marinara!

Happened across this place just by luck on the way home, driving south on 101. Pizza is great. Crust is crunchy and soft. Cheese is quality stuff and the gluten free was the best we’ve had. The two guys working last night were super friendly, funny and helpful. They helped my daughters learn how to toss a pizza even though they were closing up the place. We will definitely stop in AG on the way home from SLO again for this great pizza.
