Smugala’s Pizza Pub

I used to order from the Oakville location and I must say they are great! I cannot say the same about the Arnold store. Twice, in the past month we have ordered 50 worth of food. Not the most expensive but enough for three people. Both times the pizza was horrible. Like Cici’s horrible! The hot sauce was exploded out of it plastic container and spilled all over wings we ordered plain for our young child. The potato skins were hard and seemed old. Very disappointed and while Imo’s has a far more limited menu, their food is edible. I do not understand how this place stays in business.

We wanted a deluxe pizza that was priced at $ 25, already fairly pricey. When we asked about the crust, they said the normal is thin crust, but that hand tossed was available. When we said we wanted hand tossed, they said it would cost $ 32.50!!! Never experienced such a huge surcharge for a different crust. They must have a pizza tosser on call.

We love Smugs! It doesn’t matter if you are going out with the family, having drinks with some friends, or grabbing a bite solo or on a date, Smugs is the place to go. They also have a room that you can rent pretty inexpensive for gatherings or parties. We have done all of the above. The kids love all you can eat wing night on Monday. The drink specials during games are great also. My husband and I LOVE the pizza. They have so many different kinds to choose from and they are loaded with toppings, hot, and perfectly cooked. The salads are huge! The sandwiches are great also. Between everyone in the family, we have tried it all. The only down side to Smugs is that on occasion the burgers get too well done. It is almost as if the grill is too hot for the meat. That is the only thing keeping it from a five-​star rating. So skip the burgers but order anything else and you will be satisfied. The restaurant is clean. Service is usually friendly and fast. They have a rewards program that gives you back about 10% of your bill and they send offers through email for great specials. If you get a chance order the belly bomber pizza. It’s a White Castle burger on a pizza. AMAZING! Smugs is our go to place. We will be back again… And again… And again!

I recently have fallen in LOVE with Smugala’s. Every Wednesday I have the pleasure of working out in Arnold without being able to leave my store, thus making me order delivery most weeks. I recently started ordering here and am never disappointed. The food is very fresh and hot by the time it reaches my store, with little wait. So far I have tried the BLT, which is fabulous, and the Turkey Melt, also fabulous. The french fries are perfect and the veggie cups are crisp and fresh as well! Only good thoughts from this customer :)

Disorganized seating arrangements. You must speak up to get waited on in this place. If you know the owner you get seated right away. Must be new hostesses. Friendly service and pretty clean too.

Had a large Pizza and it was okay, not great, not bad just okay. Like the thin crust but was greasy and got seeds from the sauce in my teeth. Waitress was great along with the service.

Good pizza and american food. Recommend for a casual night out or with a group of friends.
This would also be a great place to go for a game night, lots of tvs, beer and specials.

This place kicks all butt. TVs everywhere. Big bar area with stools and tall tables. Decent sized dining area. Banquet room. Arcade. I mean this place has it all. The food is great! The service is always friendly. I’ve probably been here over 100 times so my rating is honest as they come. The pizza is delicious. The burgers are arguably the best in Arnold. Their chicken wings are 5 star! Especially the honey mustard. And all you can eat wings on Monday! The only thing that I dislike about this place is their pizza prices. I mean their burgers, salads, and sandwiches are competitively priced but their pizza is pretty expensive. I don’t usually order it unless it’s half off or something. But this place is the spot in Arnold. For sure coming back very often! Oh and during home team sports games they have CHEAP beer!

Great food. Excellent trashed wings. Karly s was our waitress and was awesome. She is always friendly and keeps the wings and drinks coming (especially on Monday nights when it’s all you can eat wings) Smugalas also has some if the best blue cheese dressing ever. Love the atmosphere and foods and drink specials

I don’t even know where to begin with this review. I’ve been to Smugala’s a couple of times. Each time the staff and food were all above par. Their pizza is top notch with a sauce that’s on the sweeter side, and their toppings are all fresh. If you go to Smugala’s, you must get their wings with a side of ranch. They have some of the best wings in the area, and the ranch dressing is out of this world.

My room-​mate and I were searching for restaurants and I wanted to give this one a try since I kept hearing good stuff about it. Its nestled in a strip mall next to Target in Arnold and it has taken the place of Fortel’s pizza kitchen and some short lived Mexican restaurant.
I walked in and we were immediately served by this very perky and upbeat waitress. I mean nothing could bring this lady down that evening. I decided on not getting pizza this time around, but decided on getting a BBQ burger with a side of chips.
I don’t know what they put in that burger, but it was absolutely delicious. I was told that it was a ton of whorsteshire sauce and butter, but the taste was absolutely perfect. Even the meat in the burger was cooked to perfection as I normally order medium well and I ended up getting what I liked, even though I never ordered the burger as such.
I also ordered a strawberry margarita and I was given the option to have sugar on the glass instead of salt.
The margarita was decent, however, I have had better. The great thing about that night though was the amazing burger!
There was another server who ended up delivering the food to us and our side orders got accidentally switched: my room-​mate was given my potato chips and I was given his fries, but it was a quick and easy switcheroo.
I even asked for wet wipes and the waitress didn’t have any, but was most gracious in wetting some napkins because my hands were a bit messy from the BBQ sauce.
Would I recommend this place? Just for the burger alone, hells yeah! Next time I am there, I will definitely try their pizza!

Just wanted to let you all know that the manager of the store contacted me and is trying to get their online ordering system to accept online coupons. I will not really stray from this restaurant because I have been a fan for years. Hoping their food will be better next time I order… maybe it was a «bad night». I have to say I was truly frustrated when I wrote my review. I still love Smugala’s Pizza! Until that night, I have never ordered anything there that I haven’t liked (but I still think thier prices have risen dramatically). I will be back soon!

Let me just start by saying that I’m very happy that Smugala’s opened a location in Arnold. It’s always nice to have many different choices of places to eat. I’ve visited this location on at least 3 different occasions that I can remember. I’ve had the bbq pork sandwich a couple times, and the chicken parm sandwich another time. I did have a bite of the pizza once as well. I would say all of the food is above average. I would give this place a higher rating, but each time we’ve been here the service has been extremely slow. We had to flag down the waitress to try to get a refill. 10 or 15 minutes would go by and we wouldn’t even see our server. They really weren’t that busy when we were there. Overall, I’ll definitely be back, but I hope the service is better.

The pizza was pretty good, but not the best I’ve ever had. The spinach artichoke dip was great. The service was good, but not great. I’d give this place another shot, but not before trying other places first.
