I am a real fan of thin-crust, crisp pizza, and these guys do it up fresh and lively. Great choices for the pies, and the lasagne are as good as homemade!

The pizza itself is pretty good. I also like that they offer wine and beer for those dinning in. This review is a Combined review from two visits. I came with a friend near Halloween and our experience was great. There was free candy out, service was friendly and fast, we were checked on by people behind counter throughout our meal. Today we wanted to try the pizza of the month. The service was less than average. Ordering was fine, we ordered two combo meals to go. After ordering we stepped outside to see other shops nearby. We came back in as we decided to grab two beers for remaining duration of the wait. The lady behind counter was refilling napkins and didn’t stop to assist us. We stayed standing at the counter until the guy making pizza gave us our bag. We were never given our fountain drinks for our meal and before leaving I remembered and found the cups near the wall and grabbed them. Once we started eating the pizza in the car we noticed that we only received two out of the four slices we had ordered. The first time we went service was great. This time not so much. I think it boils down to the employees attentiveness of being aware of customers and orders. We may try again as the pizza is great but not for a while.

ordered 14″ medium pizza, ½ white shrimp, ½ lee heights. It was delicious. I am definitely going back to try more!

Small, clean pizza restaurant. Had the GW Pizza. It was an excellent, thin crust pizza!

Very good pizza delivery – probably best in Arlington. Thin crust with great toppings. 20 bucks a pizza but worth it.

We had a pizza that reminded us of a NY style pizza. The employees were friendly, and there’s space to dine in, take out or you can order your pizza. The pizza is thin, which I prefer, the flavor is nice. Perfectly seasoned, and the slices are huge. It’s fresh and my partner had the breaded chicken pizza which my partner thought was excellent. I’m a margarita girl, and I must say, I’ll be back if I have a craving for pizza. Loved it.

Excellent pizza. Pete’s New Haven is the closest comparison in Arlington but Upper Crust is more genuinely Neapolitan at its thin, crispy best. Highly recommend, and very glad this restaurant has moved to the neighborhood.

*** 3 ½ stars *** We came in on a weeknight and were told that our order(a large GW pizza) would take 20 minutes to cook. It actually took 30+ minutes, and they forgot to add the basil. The GW only has four ingredients so basil is pretty crucial. Will call our order in next time, and double check the pizza before leaving!

As a native of New Jersey, I am a pizza snob. I have been looking for a good pizza place that can meet my high expectations and also offer toppings my husband will like. I am so happy this place has opened — and delivers! I just went for this first time today and can’t wait to go back. I kept eating slices not because I was that hungry, but because it was so good. They figured out the right amount of savory flavor in the crust, which is crispy and thin(as I like it) without being hard, crunchy, or burned. I am only giving 4 stars because I haven’t tried the basic margherita, which is the real test, but I’m confident I will be able to update to 5 stars. Not many tables if you’re looking to dine in during colder months, but there will be much more opportunity for outside seating in warmer weather. Also important to note: they have wine, high chairs, and a place you can change a diaper in the bathroom. I will be back for sure to try out the rest of the menu!

Ordered a large margherita with fontina cheese, Italian sausage, mushrooms, and roasted red peppers. Great pizza! My new favorite take out, just wish I lived in delivery area, but fortunately it is in between my office and home so it is easy to stop by on the way. I recommend upper crust.

Got delivery pizza from here after reading the positive reviews. The folks who answered the phone and took my order were very friendly and polite, and the pizza was really good. It took about an hour to get here — but was really tasty. Also — wheat crust — my favourite.

Had seen this place opened near me and being a New Jersey transplant who hasn’t been able to find good pizza, I gave it a try. I ordered one pizza at 6:10pm on a Sunday night. I didn’t get the pizza until 8:50pm! I called and complained and the manager, Cody, was apologetic and said they were extremely understaffed and after the second call wondering where my pizza was he gave me the meal for free. I appreciate his attempt to rectify the situation but it shouldn’t take over two and half hours to make and deliver one pie. And a phone call when the staff realized that it would be a nearly 3 hour wait would have been nice, I would have canceled the order and saved myself and them the headache. The worst part is that when I finally received the pie it was cold and looked like it had been sitting out for a couple hours which was probably exactly the case. I might stop in for a slice or two at the actual restaurant but I’ll never order from here again and I recommend you don’t either.

Got this for the first time tonight, and it was delicious! We ordered online, and it was ready in 20 minutes. It’s thin-crust style, and the crust had just the right amount of crunch to it. We opted for ½ Old Town and ½ Uncommon – both were very fresh and had a lot of flavor. The Uncommon had a bit of a kick to it(it has jalapeños on it) that was really nicely balanced by the sweet pineapple. The Old Town had chorizo and basil – also a really nice combo. The staff were extremely friendly when my husband picked up our order. We will definitely be ordering again.

My house is literally a block north of this place, so I was glad to see a decent pizza joint open up within a 3 minute walking distance. This place is in my top 3 for pizza places in Arlington. I can only think of two other places that can compete in terms of taste: Pupatella in Westover & Pete’s New Haven in Clarendon — and that’s saying something good about the new joint. The crust is very thin, but dense enough to hold the toppings. A lot of the pizzas are not smothered in cheese, which I like, but maybe not to some who are used to huge bites of cheese. Hopefully this place will last long enough to become a neighborhood staple like the Italian Store or that hidden Philippine Oriental Market. Time will tell.

We have been waiting for this neighborhood pizza spot to open for months now! It is a great addition to the neighborhood. On Friday night we walked over there to grab a pizza. The restaurant was very busy, with limited seating, so we decided to order take out instead. We ordered the Old Town and a caesar salad, and were told it would be a 35 minute wait. We walked over to Arrowine to do their wine tasting, buy cheese, etc to kill time and headed back over to Upper Crust to pick up our pizza 30 mins later. At that point we were told it would be about another 30 minutes, because the wait time had gone up. They were really swamped and the woman working the register was super nice, continuously keeping us updated. They serve beer and wine, so we had a glass of wine while we continued to wait. As we waited in the small seating area up front, several customers came in and after being told about the now one hour wait, they left without ordering. Management should have given these customers coupons, to get them back in the restaurant when the wait wasn’t as bad. I also feel they should have offered a complimentary appetizer or glass of wine for people who had to wait longer than expected. The pizza was good, thin crust but very tasty. The caesar salad was also delicious, with lots of parmesan cheese! The dressing isn’t homemade, but you get what you pay for. All around, a great new restaurant, let’s hope they work out the kinks quickly!

We have been excited for this to open for 6 months! Tonight we ordered for pickup and it was truly delicious. I called in because I heard that they had personal sized pizza, but it was not available as an option online. We ordered a small cesar salad, cheesy bread, a personal pizza with zucchini, squash, and jalapeños and a small Margherita pizza. Let me tell you, the lady who took our oder was very sweet and polite. When we arrived to pick it up, we noticed they serve beer and wine, fantastic. They have two small tables and window hightop seating. Our order was correct but only partially complete. Though they were quite busy, the manager on duty took time to make it right. I was very impressed. The salad was fresh with lots of thin parmasean cheese slices. The dressing was pre-packaged, but that’s fine for the price of the salad which was $ 5.00. The cheesy bread was delicious and warm. It’s a half moon of light and fluffy pizza dough with italian seasoning and gooey mozzarella cheese with oregano on top served with a side of nice marinara. The pizzas were stellar. Let me tell you, I was stoked to have such interesting topping choices available. My sweetheart is a straight cheese pizza kind of guy, so a personal size option and ingredients like squash and zucchini really sent this place over the top for me. The ingredients were fresh and the crust is thin and crispy and well seasoned. This is not throw away crust. My boyfriend loved his Margherita pizza as well. This restraunt is clean, cute, and super delicious. 5 stars from folks that will be regulars for sure.

Boston-based pizza place with a newly opened location in Arlington VA. The menu is predominantly pizza, with some salads, lasagna and calzones. They also serve soft drinks, beer and wine. A small, but comfortable, clean and modern pizza joint with a current menu that boasts 25 different specialty pizzas, and offers cheese and pepperoni by the slice along with a «slice of the day» which they have listed at the counter. Friendly, courteous and helpful staff. Bathroom is clean as well. They have carry out and delivery should the small dining area be full. They also have a nice back patio area with tables and chairs overlooking the back parking lot, but it’s still pleasant enough if you want to sit outside in nice weather. I have had three different slices here on two separate occasions. The crust is very thin and crisp, but not really a NY style, not a Neapolitan style, not quite a New Haven style(certainly not a Chicago style with crust that thin) but it is kind of a flat bread type crust. I liked it; thin, crisp and still holds the cheese, sauce and toppings well, provided you don’t overload it with toppings. Speaking of toppings, there are 12 meat toppings to choose from, but veggie lovers will like the fact that their choices of vegetable toppings outnumber meat toppings by more than 2 to 1(I counted 26 toppings, though some are slightly redundant such as breaded eggplant/roasted eggplant and diced/sliced/sun dried tomato, but still — there are a good variety of veggie toppings here for you meat haters. This is a somewhat upscale place as their specialty pizza selection and attendant prices indicate, but it’s in the right neighborhood for that, and the pizza is of a higher quality so I think they should do well here. I myself will return without hesitation. I highly endorse it.
