Went with my family on a Saturday for an early dinner. Our server was not very friendly at first but not terrible. As the meal went on, she got much nicer and more hospitable and even a little bit funny. Maybe something happened prior that upset her. I think she was also the bartender, so she might have been a little bit busy! The inside was adorable, pictures of cats everywhere! It has a cute, quirky feel to the place and it was nice to have a change of pace from all the other restaurants around. The food was nothing special but most definitely wasn’t bad! If you’re from the area, I would give this place a shot if you’re looking for a very casual dinner or lunch or even to grab a few drinks at the bar. It’s very far from me, but I would go again because of all the pictures of cats and because overall my visit to this place was not bad at all. :)

I love this place more than Lost Dog! It doesn’t have the overcrowded feel, but it’s still got the same yummy food, many options, and fast service. And what can I say, I’m a cat person.

I’m a resident of the neighborhood and decided to stop in for a drink and burger with a friend and was promptly reminded that the restaurant closes in an hour by the waitress at the door. She then rushed our orders, didn’t provide silverware or napkins, didn’t check on our status the entire time and she sat a booth staring at her phone. There was a party of around 15 people at the other side of the restaurant and I saw her interrupt their conversation to tell them the restaurant is closing in half an hour. She takes the cake as being the most rude and unpleasant waitress I’ve ever encountered and I will not be returning. The food was alright.

We have always enjoyed this place as an occasional alternative to the falls church scene and a nice change from the“parent” lost dog franchise. It is sad to see it apparently going under. Service is slow, nobody has any concern about cleanliness, it appears that bored kids have been left to mind the store. Perhaps Westover needs another pizza joint or some other outlet. We WILL Miss it.

Great place to grab a bite to eat and a cold beer. Used to live in the neighborhood and ate here all the time. Great food, staff and atmosphere!

We typically eat at lost dog but decided we needed to give stray cat a try. If you’re in the mood for burgers or Mexican food, visit stray cat! I ordered a veggie burger with guacamole and pico de gallo on it. It’s one of the best veggie burgers I’ve had in Arlington. Also, tons of salads on their menu!

Great sand which restaurant with good service and price goes towards a great cause. The fountain drinks are a bit watered down, so get something bottled like the root beer. Overall great place and feels good to know it goes towards a great cause!

Amazing food, amazing people! I live the feeling of this place because it feels like my home. The food is just as good!

Horrendous parking situation but the food is good. Not as big of a variety as its neighbor and partner, the Lost Dog Café, but still enough to keep you interested. I had a quesadilla and it was nice and cheesy, but the salsa was a bit too pico. Decent selection of craft beers and fine wines too. Still prefer Lost Dog overall.

My friends and I ate here for lunch and enjoyed a good but not great meal. Our server was attentive even though he had several other tables that kept him hopping. My Chicken Philly was tasty and they included extra lettuce as I requested. The sandwich would have been excellent if they included a bit more chicken, but it was fine. My friends each had soup, which they seemed to enjoy, and one had a hot dog, which was OK. The biggest problem is the parking, which is very hard to find at lunchtime. That’s not really the Stray Cat’s fault, but it does make me less likely to return, even though the food and service are pretty good.

Loved the food, the people and the concept. Can’t remember the name of the burger, but it had all my favorites – guacamole, jalapeños, lots of onions… well-prepared with great fries.

Cute place! Cozy and a bit quieter then lost dog café, but both places are in the same strip so it’s nice! Good food, lighting and atmosphere is nice and claiming.

WHAT?! I haven’t written a review for Stray Cat? First off, I love my animals and my cats so that has gotta be a few stars right there. Secondly, I’ve been going here for a little over a year and have never had poor service– that’s saying something for this area. Edgar is the man, when he is working it is never a dull experience, I haven’t met a nicer guy! The menu has a plethora of sandwiches to choose from, and many cater to the vegetarians palate(me!) I always swing by Lost Dog next door to pick up some shirts or sweats. I eat– I shop. Win win.

To me the Stray Cat is the quieter less frenetic sibling of the Lost Dog. And truthfully, even though many of the sandwich offerings overlap with the Lost Dog, Stray Cat does them MUCHBETTER!! My favorite sandwich, the Muttly, is crazy-delicious at the Stray Cat, but just kinda ‘meh’ at Lost Dog. So, I get a more chill atmosphere with tastier sandwiches(when I’m not in a pizza mood cause I love Lost Dog pizza) and chips + pickle for no extra charge?!! You’ll absolutely find me dining at the Stray Cat!!! Plus their staff is friendly without being annoyingly so. This place is worth checking out and coming back to again and again. They do tasty sandwiches right!

I worked next to the Lost Dog Café near Tyson’s Corner and ate there often as it was the easiest place to get to for lunch. I can honestly say that it is mediocre at best with most sandwiches being light on ingredients and devoid of flavor. So when I found myself near the Lost Dog in Arlington, I decided to pass and walk next door to their Stray Cat Café in hopes of finding a better lunch experience. Briefly, I did not. The chocolate malted had a strange, bitter flavor — not of malt or sweet chocolate — and I was really looking forward to a proper malted. The steak sandwich my wife had was not eatable as it was extremely tough to chew and the pastrami on my sandwich wasn’t much better. The chips on the plate looked like they had emptied the last bits in the bag. I won’t go on other than to say that I have no idea what any self-respecting diner sees in these restaurants, short of the philanthropic work that they do, which I applaud enthusiastically.

This is one of our local favorites. The burgers and(curly) fries are very good, w/bison, beef or ground turkey options. Tremendous and unique selection of other sandwiches are also excellent. Better than average selection of beers on tap. Great atmosphere. Kids menu keeps mine interested. Agree with other reviewers about the parking situation, which is substantially less than optimal. But that’s not a reason not to visit. It’s worth it to me and my family!

We tried this place on a snowy day and it was so cozy! I love the variety of the menu and their sandwiches are AMAZING. I got the chicken philly and my boyfriend got the turkey reuben — no complaints on either! I also LOVE that they offer vegetarian chilly. We got it on the chip dip and it was delicious! In addition to tortilla chips the dip came with warm pita bread which was a nice surprise. Beer is their specialty. I got a bloody mary and it was so bitter I couldn’t finish it. The décor is super cute and we are HUGE animal lovers so we love supporting businesses that donate to one of our favorite causes! I can’t wait to go back and try another sandwich!

Love everything here! The atmosphere is nice and homey. I always feel relaxed, and the laid-back, fun vibe is great. Mouse Tails — curly fries — are VERYADDICTING. It’s a huge helping, and they are just so wonderfully delicious. Everyone must order them. Veggie Chili — not bad, but I’ve had better(Velocity Five’s is my standard — don’t judge). There wasn’t much of a savory, robust flavor. French Bread with Brie Cheese and Pepper — they put so much brie cheese on the bread that it’s ridiculous(in a good way). The pepper didn’t add anything, but who can refuse melted cheese on bread? The happy hour special is half off apps — pretty fantastic for an after-work, casual get together. The menu is super long, so it’s hard to choose what to eat! Bottom line: for a casual snack, drink, and/or meal, this is the place to go. The flavors are run of the mill, so they taste like something you could make at home. They’re worth it though!

I was in a group of six and most people ordered sandwiches. Everyone in the group seemed very pleased with what they ordered. My Redskin pulled pork sandwich(with bacon and cole slaw) was so good that I might order it again. I liked the fact that the BBQ sauce was provided in cups rather than actually on the sandwich. The only complaint I heard was from one person in my group, who said that the fish and chips could have come with more fish. He did like the food, though.(and with so many cat-themed dishes I was surprised they used halibut rather than CAT fish. heh). Service was excellent, between the two waitresses who helped us. Wednesday at lunch time and there was plenty of open seating available.

Warning: Parking is very, very difficult. I can’t stress this enough. The lot holds maybe 10 cars max to split between 8 or 9 businesses. People park there and walk away to other shops in the area, etc. Do not count on parking in this lot. The street has some parking and that’s probably your best bet. The food names are HILARIOUS! Clean. Colorful. Well lit. A very nice atmosphere. They even have little cat paintings on the wall in the restroom. I ordered the Bison burger with curly fries. It was cooked well and presentation was nice, but I don’t think the Bison agreed with me. The taste was different than what I had remembered Bison to taste like, but that’s just me. Otherwise I really like the Stray Cat Café.
