Bike shop is to be avoided. Took my bike in for basic overhaul. Got it back 3 weeks later. I called 4 times over the course of that time to see if it was ready and each time was told they would get back to me that day with an answer. They never called. They replaced the brake pads and chain and charged over $ 100 for it. The cables needed to be replaced but I just paid the bill and left. They spent more time trying to sell me a new bike than trying to service mine. Overpriced and horrible service is not a good combination.

This place is really slow for some reason. When you walk in, there is no other Sun&Ski Sports that will make you feel so refreshed from their organization! There are honestly not enough workers on hand for this HUGE place and yet they do a tremendous job on keeping the place spiffy and clean. I had to go here to pick up a Christmas present and when I got there to pick up my hold item, the WHOLE STAFF was aware of my name and ready to help me out so that I did not have to go through several people to find my item. Pretty awesome place.

I purchased a Groupon for a Bike Tune Up from Sun & Ski Sports. I took my bike in and I swear they did nothing to it. It has not been riden for over a year. Once I got the bike home the front tire was flat (not flat when I picked it up), the bolts that hold the seat on were rusted through and the front brake was rubbing. Not impressed with their service department. This was a great opportunity for S&SS to make more money with these repairs but they called and said the bike was ready and they found no problem, really!

I went in hoping to purchase a bike. The sales purchase basically insulted me because I had a budget and in not so many words told me I was wasting my money. I will not buy anything from this store in the future because of how uncomfortable I was made to feel.

Nice selection of gear. I didn’t find exactly what I was looking for but now I know exactly where to go if I need to stock up on gear for an adventure. They have a lot of stuff. It’s definitely not the cheapest but like what Albert mentioned, their sales prices are reasonable.

Great selection of specialized sporting goods equipment that you cannot find elsewhere in Arlington such as skiing, snowboarding and climbing gear. The salespeople are helpful and friendly and do not pressure you at all.
They have great deals when things go on clearance.

The Arlington Sun and Ski opened not too long ago in what I think used to be the old Academy (they moved across the street). Sales staff was quite eager to help answer any questions. Their selection of snowboarding equipment was not too bad, but I wouldn’t say that they carry the cheapest stuff around.
Sales after season are pretty good though. Be sure to drop by to check on the sales!
