Subway

The lady making my sandwich was horrible !, then I’m eating my sandwich and I find a hair !!!

I’ve eaten here several times, usually when Subway is promoting their pastrami sandwiches. It’s so difficult to find a hot pastrami here that I am desperate enough to get one at Subway. This location is up to Subway’s normal standards.
Today I decided to try the new Flatizza. If you haven’t seen the commercials, the Flatizza is Subway’s flat bread with a layer of marinara, cheese and then your choice of vegetables, pepperoni or meatballs and them placed in the oven. Flatizza, get it? I’ll be here all week.
Placed in a cardboard pizza box, the Flatizza looks inviting. I got the pepperoni, there is very little grease visible. Each piece feels solid. I eat a piece and my tongue wants to scream «NO!» The marinara, the same as they use on the meatball sandwich, is way too sweet. On the sandwich, the bread soaks the sauce in. On the flat bread, the marinara just sits in its sweet, tomatoey glory. At least the flat bread was crisp. All I could tast is sweetness. It overpowered everything else, or else the cheese and pepperoni are pretty tasteless as it is. Bleah.
If you are looking for pizza, Subway isn’t the place. Maybe I should have gotten the chopped salad that the guy in front of me was getting.
This location gets two stars because it upholds Subway’s usual standards. The Flatizza would have gotten negative marks. Now to figure a way to get that sweetness out of my mouth…

I visited today and there were three things that bothered me.
1. I showed up on a bicycle, only to find that there’s no bike rack. Even the McDonald’s next door has one. I had to find an electric pole in the back of the store to lock my bike to. Stop counting pennies and be accomodating to people.
2. This particular location had an offer on «Campus Special» app for a second sub for 99c if you bought a sub and a 21oz drink at regular price. They did not honor their offer, and said they knew nothing about it. Either take the offer down or honor it.
3. There are two lines that come together at the cash register, one from right and other from left. They checked out 2 people of other line before they checked me out, essentially moving me one spot down in the queue. This wouldn’t bother me generally, but after the first two annoyances, this one was an add-​on.
Overall, I would say this was a very poor experience.

No problems with this Subway. Great location right by UTA, service is usually friendly and fast and their drive-​thru is very convenient for zipping in and zipping out on the way to or from work.

Well I come here every week at least one time a week sometimes twice a week. Subs are always good and even when I come at peak hours they are adequately staffed so there is never a ridiculous wait.

Great location for a Subway, very near the UTA campus. Every time that I’ve been here, I have received good service, and the sandwich has been pretty good as well. I usually get oven roasted chicken breast on 9-​grain honey oat with all the toppings and some southwest chipotle sauce. Definitely worth trying during the day if you’re on campus as they are pretty good and pretty quick when you only have a short time for lunch.

Subway has chosen the Metroplex as a test environment to evaluate if they want to start serving gluten free selections across the country. The manager took my order, but before she started she cleaned the surface of their prep area. A fresh knife and everything. I was extremely impressed. They even have a gluten free brownie.
The manager and staff seemed to be extremely interested in my opinion of the sandwich and stuff.
Overall a great experience.

Wow, this Subway has to be about five times the size of a normal one, having tons of seating, two ordering counters, and a drive through. As with all Subways, this one has the usual tasty foods and good prices.
