The bowls are 5stars. Staff do a great job trying to remember the order of clients who are regulars. They have the Acai bowl down to a science. I go here 2 times a week, min. Could go daily it’s THAT good.

This South Block location is more spacious and cozier seating selections for studying and chatting with colleagues, compared to Arlington location, and offers a healthier short/long-term parking options. About ½ mile near the East Falls Church metro station, this South Block offers hightop communal tables and seating at the bar(near the cashier area). The free parking in the rear garage, although limited, makes it super easy if you cannot find a paid parking space on the street in front.
The management and staffers are pretty laid back and helpful. They often offer samples of their«kombucha of the day» and have a self-serve mini-coffee station at the bar to tryout their Stumptown coffee. Sometimes the staffers can be a tad slow on service and letting consumers know if they are out of juices, smoothies, or other products — this is probably due to a shortage of staff and newbie training issues. Hopefully, these kinks will be workout overtime. The condiment bar offers raw and unfiltered honey, which we are a fan of. Not sure if I will try the cleanse program as I make a lot of juices myself, however if I want a fresh, ‘juice-up’ after a workout, this is a nice ‘B’ option. One thumb up.

Great place to get a healthy smoothie that’s filling. Plus love the fact that they have multiple paleo options! Have been there 3 times, and it usually takes ~5−10 minutes to get your smoothie or bowl, but it’s fresh! Also ordered ahead via their website, and my smoothie was there waiting for me. Great experience. Just wish they would open more in DC so I wouldn’t have to drive out to VA to get a proper healthy smoothie!

I absolutely love this place(I am the duchess according to Unilocal!) for its concept of fresh and raw foods. Each smoothie has been consistently fresh and flavorful. The location has great vibes, friendly smiles, and customer service too. It is also very clean and well maintained. My only complaint is how sloooow the service takes and with each visit it gets a little longer and longer. Today I waited about 20minutes for a smoothie from order to delivery. While I know it takes time to hand craft each smoothie from scratch this appears to be a shortage of staff issue because I am totally okay with a 10 minute wait for freshness, but 20 is a bit far fetched. I will continue to patronage this small business because I have fond appreciation for all small businesses and would much rather cater to them. And I love the Avocado Butter smoothie, which is the only smoothie I order along with my refill Kombucha!!!

I come here a couple times a week, always ordering a cappuccino, and it’s always on the scale from pretty good to great. The staff here is what makes it great. The 3 ladies who are the regular staff are by far their best in their manner toward customers and their desire to serve with cheerful energy. Looking forward to trying their food and continuing to enjoy their staff’s genuine service.

I feel so fortunate for living walking distance from South Block. I always order the Warrior Bowl, sometimes two because I’m so addicted to it. They give you a pretty big portion so it fills me up for a few hours. And it’s so healthy! Everything there is healthy, I love it! Kale yeah! I would love to try something else on their menu but every time I’m there, I’m craving for that fresh, cold Warrior Bowl. It’s that good. They have smoothies, salads, green juices, sandwiches, coffee, juice cleanse and other great goodies. They are located along the W&OD Trail in Falls Church by East Falls Church Metro so it is so convenient to stop by during a nice bike ride to recharge.

So happy South Block opened much closer to me, in the Falls Church-Arlington border. This location is spacious and amazing; I love being able to see the process area-kitchen room in street view mode. Huge selection of my South Block faves, but I was even more thrilled to discover their new Netherlands-themed sandwiches. Super delish. My standard order is always either the Green Caveman smoothie with granola or the Caveman bowl. I got to try the Warrior bowl today and I understand why it’s a staple — berrylicious. There are many juice bars around but what sets South Block apart is that they use whole organic foods and ingredients to make juices, smoothies etc. I don’t have to worry about sugar and sugar substitutes masquerading as healthy and nutritious. This is my favorite post-workout and weekend pick me up. Truly considering a juice cleanse from them soon. I’m such a huge fan of South Block and hope they keep expanding. Love love love.

I adore South Block Co. In my opinion it is the best juice joint in the DMV area. The service is extremely friendly, the environment is clean and the products are healthy and delicious, what more could a customer ask for? South Block does a great job of creating great tasting juice at an affordable cost, as well as offering some really unique flavors! One of my favorite drinks that they offer is the Rehab superfood shake that is made with activated charcoal to detoxify the body. Not only are their drinks on point, but South Block also offers a wide variety of breakfast bowls and raw snacks. Currently, I am addicted to the Caveman Balls which are energy bites made out of dates, nuts, maple syrup and vanilla. Altogether, South Block Co. does things right. From their captivating graphics, to their sweet products, to their fair prices and knowledgeable staff, this place truly deserves 5 stars!

I’m such a fan of South Block! The only place I know that serves Matcha Tea the way I like it! The Falls Church location is much spacier than the one in Clarendon. So if you’re looking to dine in, go here. It’s quiet and peaceful enough to catch up work or read a book. They are also pet friendly! I’ve tried out their one-day cleanse and definitely was worth the try. It’s $ 55 and you have 2 choices. You could get it ready made which is located in their store fridge or pre-order online. If you order online, you’ll have to do it 3 days in advance. Their juices are made fresh that day. All of their ingredients are organic. These juice do expire! So read your bottle carefully! Even though my cleanse was only for one day it did not make a huge difference in my body however if you were to continue, I guaranteed there would see a difference. But the one day was to test out on how my body would react and of course my body went to detox mode. I did not get sick. I had no allergic reaction. Basically I just followed the instructions, which is labeled on the bottle, and my body went into cleanse mode. Pricing is moderate because we are dealing with organic items. I recommend to try the cleansing for one day. If you’re ok with each flavor(which all is delicious for me!) then go for 3-day cleanse. I haven’t tried out their other refreshments and food but the chia pudding. It was soo good and a great snack for midday. Definitely worth giving this place a try.

You can call me a juicer now because these juices are pretty dope. After a weekend of retoxing my body, I needed a detoxifying agent to add to my body and lo behold, I find myself at South Block Co deciding between what shot to take. A healthy, detoxifying shot that is :). I had a hard time deciding what to order(mainly because I was hungover). The cashier was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She convinced me to get the Avocado Butter smoothie. I substituted the peanut butter for almond butter since I’m not a big fan of peanut butter. The smoothie came out in less than 3 minutes, which is blazing fast for making a smoothie… at least in my experience. And I must say, the smoothie was super thick and filling. I was stuffed for a good 8 hours afterwards. As for the décor, when you walk inside, you definitely get the hip/minimalistic vibe. To the left are the fridges with the juices and shots while the right is the«bar» where you can order food, coffee, and smoothies. I sat down at the bar waiting for my smoothie and thoroughly enjoyed just sitting and watching the baristas run around and make the food. Overall, I say my first experience with South Block is fantastic and I’ll definitely be back. Tip #1: For the 2 shots(The bomb & Weed). What you choose decides what you want your body to feel. The bomb is harsh and abrasive to your throat. It has ginger, turmeric, lemon and packs a mean left hook. YOU“VEBEENWARNED. The Weed is less intense but if you don’t like the taste of grass, I would stay away. Tip #2: Make sure you sign up for the loyalty program(the belly). Even if you don’t frequent often, you can definitely work up to get rewards. I got a free fist bump on my first visit which was pretty neat. I know you can score some free juices later on.

*** 3 ½ stars *** Despite the prior acai bowl fail, I’ve found that the green-a-colada smoothie is delicious. I love that it has coconut milk + coconut, as well as my other favs: mango, banana and kale. The regular is a good size, portion/calorie-wise, but the $ 8 price tag is kinda painful. Unless/until I get a Vitamix(Ben Y. and Suzie L., are you listenin’?!), this will do for an occasional treat.

Love this place. Anyone in falls church check it out. There was a place here before and then moved. Don’t be fooled by going to your standard Starbucks. Great natural lightning. Coffee + drinks + smoothies are great. Food startup feel to it hat has real staying power. Free and easy parking too!

We are lucky enough to live a couple of blocks from here. We’ve tried the nitro brew coffee which aside from looking really cool, is also delicious. We’ve also shared their el gordo acai bowl, which was HUGE(filled up the two of us with some leftover!) and refreshing. I’ll definitely be back given their proximity(and my affinity for cold brew and acai), but it is pricey.

Off the beaten path new location but same great offerings. The nitrogen infused cold brewed coffee is interesting. It comes out of a beer tap and even has a similar fizzy, foamy, effervescent quality. A bit too strong for a coffee novice like me even after dousing it in coconut creamer. Plus point is that it is made of high quality Stumptown coffee. On a side note, their self serve coffee/condiment bar far surpasses your typical Starbucks. Agave syrup, raw honey, simple syrups, chia seeds, etc. I’m forgetting the other items but the quality and quantity of options is impressive. This place offers something for every meal of the day and in between and best part is that it’s all healthy! I wish for a eutopic future in which every fast food place is replaced by a health conscious establishment like SBC. Acai bowls, fresh juices and smoothies galore, top notch coffee, sandwiches, salads, it’s all here! Look forward to updating after trying the acai bowls.

I am so blessed that this opened up near me. Their smoothies and acai bowls are delicious. They are a little pricy but you’re paying for the all natural and healthy fruits and veggies. They don’t add sugar to their smoothies. Literally everything that’s listed next to the smoothie is everything they blend up. It’s great to not have to worry about all that sugary junk. If you aren’t familiar with their bowls, pretty much it’s a smoothie in a bowl and it’s topped with fruits, granola, and other good stuff. My go to is the PBJ bowl! Another perk to South Block is that they offer free chia seeds, agave nectar, and honey at their little counter! It goes perfectly with their bowls. Definitely give them a try if you’re in the area!

DELICIOUS! I’m so happy that an Acai bowl place finally opened in my area! I first tried Acai Bowls on the West Coast & immediately fell in love. So far, I’ve tried the California Bowl & Warrior Bowl. I enjoyed the California Bowl, but I didn’t love it. I think it’s because of the Almond Milk, I usually love Almond Milk but I didn’t like the taste of it mixed in the Acai. I got the Warrior Bowl with the Pineapple Juice substituted with Guava Juice which I LOVED! The fruit toppings are so fresh & plentiful. The granola is Michelle’s Granola which is local, I like it but I’m more of a plain granola gal so I would have liked it more if it didn’t have nuts(completely my own preference). I usually add Raw Honey & Chia Seeds, which are free & you can put as much or as little as you want! They have plenty of other options for toppings to choose from. They also sell juices, sandwiches, hot & cold beverages, side items, pastries, & healthy snacks! I love this new place & I’m so glad it’s right across the street from one of my jobs! The staff is super friendly & helpful with any questions! I will definitely be recommending this place to everyone! **Recently tried the Pink Dragon Bowl & it might be my new favorite! I substituted the Coconut Milk for Guava Juice & opted out of getting Coconut flake topping because I’m strange & hate coconut; I’m so glad I did because it was bursting with tropical flavors! I was a little hesitant at first because I’ve never had dragonfruit before & heard it can be tart but I think the Guava juice might have helped with that. I also of course added the complimentary Raw Honey & Chia Seeds! If you’re a huge fruit lover like me, try switching out the Milks that are blended in the Bowls for a more sweet & flavorful taste!

Looking forward to many ‘pit stops’ off the W&OD trail. In addition to their signature Smoothies and Acai Bowls, they have Stumptown Coffee and Craft Kombucha.
