The back-to-back loops on this steel sit-down pack quite an electrifying punch. Situated at the very back of Six Flags Over Texas behind the oil derrick, wait times are nearly nonexistent for this aging ride. This Schwarzkopf twin looper rides considerably rough around the edges(as do most rides that are still in existence from the German-based coaster firm). The layout is unique to SFOT but isn’t all that thrilling itself aside from a few nice pops of airtime. Fortunately, the low popularity of this coaster allows for walk-ons and re-rides so you can certainly get your money’s worth. Ride blogs claim that Shock Wave pulls 5.9G’s between the deadly double loops, but that’s perhaps a liberal figure. It felt like Mr Freeze had more intense G-forces, but maybe that’s just me … ride both and determine for yourself! ~Special ride elements~ *Vertical loop *Vertical loop Fun, and good for a few rides, but it’s showing signs of neglect and could do well with a new coat of paint.
