The service was appalling, the prices are ridiculous, the games always malfunction probably because they dont have any good mechanics there to fix their games. Don’t even get me started on the bowling alleys i kept calling for assistance and was completely ignored for about half an hour last time I was there. Also PSA Dont get any of their food because I have overheard employees talking about on more than one occassion that they have found roaches in the friers ewwww gross just a heads up.

I came here mainly for their Japanese photo booths!!! I love them! I do not have them in Mississippi so when I am here I take advantage of it! Haha they are fun to do with a group of people. There was one of the photobooths(Bambi) that was messed up when we used it. Uncalibrated(wayyyy off) so we could not do anything like draw on the photos or even end the drawing section to go ahead and print the photo without decorating. No fun. I do love the Japanese theme games and prizes! Like domo, hello kitty, daramon, and so on. I hate their crane machines though. They put the main prize between three other plush making it hard to get. the kids wasted soo much of my money on them and did not get any prizes from them… The price was a bit high. I wish they did half priced games like dave and buster does for one day of the week.

When this place first opened up I was expecting it to close within 3 years. This place is massive and has a great variety of activities and arcade games. I think the coolest part is that there are a lot of import games. I have no clue what most of them are but they are extremely popular. We have also tried playing pool and ping pong. The pool table is nice and I really like that I don’t end up smelling like smoke when I leave. I also tried bowling, which really isn’t bad. I do have some complaints however. The balls kept on getting stuck, the group that bowled next to us kept on getting their balls stuck so they used ours(totally rude) and then our balls would get stuck and we would have nothing to bowl with when it was our turn. They had to call someone over every 5 minutes to get the balls unstuck. It happened the entire evening. It’s a good thing we didn’t pay by the hour or else that would have gotten frustrating. The system also seems to be slightly off, if you bowl and have 3 pins left but 2 are still in motion, the system seems to think that 2 in motion have been knocked down so it cleans it up with the others so you only have 1 pen left. Now when I’m down 20 points, it’s pretty cool, but I think it needs to be fixed. The lanes are also super slippery, which makes the balls super greasy so be prepared for that. This place stays open till 2am and they do not allow anyone under the age of 18 be there after 10pm without an adult 25 years of age or older. All in all, it was fun. I actually like it better than Main Event, there is more space, it’s not as crowded and better games and activities.

Service is really just meeeehhh… BUTTHEYHAVEJAPANESEARCADEGAMES. Not all, obviously, but quite a good amount and really good ones, too. *cough*miku*cough* I really only go for the Japanese arcade games and for the karaōke. When my friend comes to Arlington, we ALWAYS go here. It’s close to where we live, the room is comfy and nice, and the karaōke system works fine. Download the app for the songs, and you’ve even got the newest songs on the radio(the app is KJ Touch R, I think??? The karaōke book they give you will tell you). If you want to have a party at the karaōke, you can. The two largest rooms can hold up to 55 people, I think? And you can combine the two rooms together. Then rooms 3, 4, and 5 are smaller. The UFO machines also have sooo many cute toys! It’ll rob you! The place also offers bowling and ping pong and American arcade games. The prize shop is too expensive, obviously, so I really don’t care about that.

Awesome place! We will definitely be coming back for more. Place is so huge I don’t think we got to do it all. There are so many arcade machines that you can literally spend a whole day there. One of my favorite things was playing with the Japanese arcade machines. We didn’t get a chance to try out the food because we ended up leaving to go to the movies and eating out in the food court. But the arcade its self is awesome and there is no way you can get bored here.

This is a review based mainly on the karaōke aspect of Round1, which was the main reason I visited. I was excited to learn that Round1 offered the LIVEDAM karaōke machine because the only Asian karaōke machines I had experienced previously were the TJ systems you find in mainly Korean-oriented karaōke places. I had always wanted to try out LIVEDAM or Joysound, and now here was my chance thanks to Round1. While the actual system itself was top-notch and quite advanced compared to its Korean counterpart, I can’t say that I liked Round1’s implementation. DAM has an extensive library of songs, but unfortunately Round1 did not have everything offered by DAM. There were songs I was looking for that were listed on DAM’s online catalog, and they had a request number and everything, but the LIVEDAM machine simply did not have it available. The system used for English songs, Healsonic, offered a huge selection. The presentation isn’t as nice as what you would find on LIVEDAM, and that’s no fault of Round1. In short, I’m glad that Round1 is, as far as I know, the first establishment in the DFW area to offer the LIVEDAM karaōke system, which I definitely prefer to the TJ systems you normally find. It’s unfortunate that it doesn’t appear that they spend the money to keep the library as up-to-date and inclusive as possible given the number of missing songs. Healsonic is a good system if all you’re looking for is to sing in English but know that DAM offers a healthy selection of English music too… if Round1 chose to keep their LIVEDAM machines updated.

This place is so much fun! I like the atmosphere more than main event and it is not as expensive as main event. It’s also unique to the Japanese games and photo booths. I’ve been there on a weekend and during the week and it’s never been crowded or too loud for me when I’ve been there. The only con is that it’s not hard to spend a lot of money here lol

I really love this place. It’s better than Main Event. It’s better than Dave & Buster’s. The staff is always super nice and the claw machine games are so much fun! And winnable! Some of the claw machine games can be challenging, but if you keep at it you will eventually win. Also, the Japanese fighting games are just too awesome. Every screen is just so clear and the seats are nice.

I love coming here it’s so much fun! The games are different from other arcade game rooms I’ve been too. Money is well spent. sometimes since I do tend to spend a little too much, but this place is a good place to take your kids to to kill some time if you’re in the area.

I love hanging out here since there are so many things to do. It’s one of the only places open at night in Arlington that’s not just a bar scene(even though I do think they have one). I’ve taken pics in the Korean photo booths, played ping pong, karaoked, and of course played the games. Haven’t tried the laser thing or the bowling yet. DDR is probably my favorite game. They have 3 versions. I like that their DDR machines have some real k-pop songs– it really helps me and my two left feet when I have a familiar song I know the beat to. You can see some hardcore DDRers here, and there are usually cosplayers nearby, especially near the fighting games. The wait for karaōke can sometimes be very long. At least they text you when the room is ready so you don’t have to sit around and wait. I know that it’s not the fault of round 1 that there is a wait list on busy evenings, I just wish there was a time limit on the rooms, or at least more rooms available! The staff really does their best to help you out when you have been waiting for a room for a long time. I’ve only had one negative experience here and that was when my friend and I were addicted to the Pokemon prize game-you drop a ping pong ball into a specific slot to win. We played this game several times over a couple of weekends and ended up winning twice. Each time we won we were allowed to pick which Pokemon we wanted. I got a pikachu and a bulbasaur this method in 2 separate weekends. On the third weekend we won again, but they would not allow us to pick the squirtle that we wanted. They said that they had to give us the prizes in order or it «would mess up our inventory.» I complained since we had no issues previously. They ended up allowing us to have the squirtle, but it was kind of frustrating that I had to go to such lengths to receive our well deserved prize. We spent a lot of money in that machine to be hustled about our prize. I like their prize selection for ticket redemption pretty well. They have better options than any other Game Center around. However, there’s a lot of stuff in there that isn’t labeled, so it’s hard to pick what you want and find the best deals. The cutest stuff that I end up wanting is always more tickets than I have. The cheaper prizes are what you expect; cheap and not worth the money it took to get there. If you’re able to win big, you can get some cute stuff, but if you aren’t very lucky you might end up leaving with a bunch of hi chew. FYI the framed movie posters inside the prize room are not for sale and are decoration only. Tl;dr: If you’re bored and like games you can kill plenty of time and spend lots of money here.

Two stars. Barely. Despite there being a lot to do here. Tons of games, shooters, ticket winning games, racing games, photo booths, rhythm games, even karaōke, table tennis, bowling, and pool. It’s an okay place to hang out with kids who are old enough to reach the machines but man the prices for some of the games are crazy steep. I love playing fighting games. I play them all the time at home and with my friends. I’m ok with spending coin for some head to head competition. But it’s incredibly frustrating when you’re playing against a person AND the hardware. Half of the buttons on the street fighter machines weren’t working. It killed my enjoyment of the game.(Don’t get it twisted. I still won.) The employees I ran into didn’t seem to give a crap about anything. No one seemed to enjoy their job. Kinda just gliding through the venue with a «this is my life now» look on their faces. Worst part: The bathrooms were DISGUSTING. Lowercase ‘filthy’ doesn’t come close to grasping just how bad their restrooms were tonight. Bottom line, it’s an almost okay place if you wanna kill some time or are really into import rhythm games. Such a bummer that there aren’t any other good arcades with real games in the area to compete with Round One. Because even tho it has an okay line up of titles, I still wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone I care about. Unless they were really into import rhythm games. But even then I’d be reluctant.

Great place and definitely in an extremely convenient location in the Arlington Mall. Basically this arcade is HUGE! Lots of different types of arcade games, bowling alley, karaōke rooms AND Asian styled photobooths! I was amazed how big this arcade was and how much things they had to do there. The system is pretty convenient, but most arcades have switched over to this method where they hand you a members card and on there you load money on it to swipe and collect virtual tokens. This is a great system compared to back then where you waste a lot of effort on specialized tokens and printing out a multitude of tickets. There’s not much for me to say besides that it’s a huge arcade that you can bring friends to and hangout. There’s a game for everyone and if not games there’s other misc activities. OR if your friends are really that picky there’s the main mall itself where they have ice skating and etc. Either way this is a great mall with a lot of activities.

Flashing arcade lights, tons of rowdy children, a plethora of games and dirty ass bathrooms. That was my experience on a Saturday evening. I was impressed to see real bowling, ping pong tables, karaōke rooms, Japanese photo booths, Japanese arcade games and incredible DDR people working out. Be prepared to wait in a very long line just to buy a game card, they really need to change this. Overall, I had an ok experience. I want to try it when there aren’t so many people. Enjoy!

Fun place to take the kiddo if at the Parks Mall in Arlington. The annual $ 5 Round 1 Club Card caught me by off guard… what the heck. I thought you purchase your club card once and it’s done. Obviously not. That didn’t deter me and the little one. We played some fun games. The place is a little pricey but I get it.

Reasonably priced but this place is filthy! Not sure the last time it was vacuumed and mopped. This is a concern when there with little kids. Almost felt like I needed to volunteer my time to clean!

I honestly love Round 1 for so many reasons. They have such a large variety of games to play and the fact that they have photo booth pictures makes me so ecstatic. The price you pay for the pictures are worth it too! Plus if intend to visit often, you should pick up a club card and become a member and rack up stamps! My boyfriend is 3 away from obtaining a platinum card! Round 1 also offers karaōke rooms, pool, table tennis, and theres also a bowling area. Theres plenty of choices to choose from! What I also love is the prizes they offer, they are always changing; same goes for the crane game machines. As for the food here, I’ve never really have ordered anything but my best bet is; the food in the mall would be more worth it. However; if you purchase a drink it’s free refills. This location also closes quite late as well(2 A. m) Overall, Round 1 is my second home. (currently in love with the game: Crossbeats Rev.) UPDATE: we have reached platinum, what is life, whoop whoop, hurrah.

I use to come here every single week at least twice a week back when they first opened up. This was the first of its kind in Japanese arcades games here around the DFW. Considering how it is a real Japanese arcade under Japanese management, good things are expected in terms of prizes and import games. I am a big fan of Japanese imports and the claw machines. The best and most unique thing this place has to offer are the massive selection of claw machines and rhythm games. I love that they constantly have new games and never stays the same for too long. On the other hand they have bowling which I have yet to try and also karaōke, which I have tried a few times… every time I have tried the karaōke, there has been a screw loose or something and it doesn’t work properly but for the price it is worth it. Like other karaōke places it is by the hour as well as by the size of the party and time of visit.

Nice big place with every kind of game you could want. Bowling lanes, pool tables, ping pong tables, private karaōke rooms, claw games(SO many claw games!), photo booths(again, SO many photo booths), and video games abound. There’s a café, too, near the bowling. Some of the highlights: getting to see amazing DDR players, giant Connect 4, four player Battle Pacman, several different sizes of basketball games, drum(Asian drums you play with big wooden sticks) games, beer pong games… the list goes on and on! More options than Dave and Busters. It’s a younger crowd, but everyone seemed friendly. The shopping center and this place in particular keeps security around to make sure everything is cool.

$ 1 equals four credits. Reload $ 10(40 credits) get $ 1(4 credits free) Best credit to ticket ratio appears to be skeeball. Pick your games right and you can have a good time with $ 10. The ticket to prize ratio is typical, if you want to redeem for anything remotely good it’ll cost you a bunch of tickets. Overall spacious, fairly clean and lots of leisure fun
