Five stars doesn’t begin to describe this place(which is located directly across the street from its twin, Ravi 1). Go on a Sat or Sun and treat yourself to haleen(with dark meat chicken). Add a «special samosa,» and it will likely be the best meal – and best value – you can find in DMV. The latter is a regular veggie samosa that’s been dunked in a salad and covered in tangy dressing and jalapeños…and for some reason, that all works incredibly well. Meals come with bread and a side, usually chickpeas or a spinach and potato dish. Both are excellent, and you may just want to get both. Top things off with a mango lassi, but give them 5 – 10 minutes to make it… the kitchen staff is hard-pressed to keep the grill going, and a mango multitask is difficult to pull off. Cash is king here, and there’s an ATM next to the register for those who carry only plastic. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!!!

Sitting in the restaurant now waiting for my food … and still waiting. I hope th at the food is worth it because the customer service and speed of delivery is horrendous.

I’ve been here probably 50 times for takeout over 6 – 7 years. I have eaten in the restaurant a couple of times, but as folks will tell you, it’s like eating in a 1950’s formica floor kitchen with harsh overhead lighting. In other words, not that lovely. I’ve never really noted cleanliness issues, probably because it seems like the kind of place that regulars pop in for visits and hang out, and I’ve just thought of it as being a more casual place. Did I mention that I do takeout? Anyway, I’ve found the food to be excellent and consistently good across all our visits, which is really saying something. I only ever get the boneless chicken kabobs, but they are always excellently spiced and moist. The combination of the amazing chick peas(probably too spicy for younger kids, with jalapenos floating in the mix, but fine once you get used to it), bread and«salad»(a mixture of onions, lettuce, tomato and cilantro with no dressing) is a combination taste that my mouth cannot do without. Are they the most welcoming hosts in the world? Not necessarily, but I’m generally greeted with a smile and we get our business done and it all works out fine. Is it irritating that they only take cash? Sure, but then I bring cash. I’ve picked up food from the one across the road a couple of times(this location is closed on Mondays, I believe, while the one across the street is open on Mondays) and I don’t think I could tell the difference in taste/quality/etc. I prefer this location because it’s easy to park in the CVS lot. EVERYTIME I mention Ravi Kabob as an option for my family they are psyched.

Worst Kabob in the area. Bad food, bad service. Never again. Went to this Kabob and ordered to go. Service was bad and rude. Food was even worse. Rice overcooked and bland. Chicken was hard and no flavor.

I have been here atleast 20 times for take-out and it is consistently excellent. The Ravi Kabob special is my go-to meal for take-out. The kabobs are delicious. The side of chick peas that comes with the special is addictive. The ambiance is lacking. But, bring your cash and get ready for an excellent meal.

The Kabob is excellent but the presentation is quite lacking if you plan to eat at the restaurant. They can also try to be a bit more hygienic. One of the kitchen staff was walking around with open-toe shoes, a big no-no in restaurants.

Amazing food with good prices. The channay were aromatic and mouthwatering. Delicious naan and kabobs. This is by far the best food I’ve had in a long time. I would give it 10⁄5

Ordered kabob to go. Arrived to pick it up ten minutes later and it wasn’t ready. In fact, nothing was ready despite the fact that the restaurant was«open» half an hour earlier. Had to wait half an hour for my kabob.

I haven’t tried much items here. I always get their lamb chops with chickpeas and they are really authentic Pakistani Style. Chickpeas are perhaps the the best that I have had in U.S. Decent deli style place to sit and enjoy the food. Not fancy but legit Pakistani food. I will try lamb karahi.

The food was okay but the place is dirty. The owners had their bare feet in the table cutting toe nails. Gross! I would have walked out but we were finishing up when this happened. I was with a group of four and we have never been back. We often joke about it. I am not going to have this isolated incident stop me from eating but come on! I don’t know if it was the owner but I assure you the owner was aware of the situation. What one does in their home is one thing but out in public — not acceptable.

We actually ate at the Ravi II, mainly because the address listed in Unilocal is WRONG for Ravi I. The address is 305, NOT350, Glebe Road for Ravi I, where we were supposed to meet a friend for lunch. Ravi II at 250 Glebe where our GPS took us is very good too, with fewer customers and more plentiful parking, but thought folks should know about the incorrect address for Ravi I. Chicken kabobs and the chick peas were very good. There is no ambiance to speak of, very basic bare tables, plastic cutlery and paper plates, extremely flimsy napkins. You have to order at a counter(CASHONLY) and they bring the food to your table, I thought it was a tad slow, but with so few customers I guess there’s not much in the food production queue. Food was hot, fresh and good, bread freshly baked. Agree with other raves about the chick peas, very good. Would have rated higher if they had real dishes and cutlery and if they had table service.

Hands down the best desi food in northern Virginia I have been coming here for 20 years now. Love the food. Love the people. Sometimes when it’s super packed you even have to fight to get seats. But damn it’s worth the wait. And it’s very good in price as well Best chicken/lamb Karahi Best chick peas Best Lahori fish Ps: I tell this to all my friends. Don’t use there bathrooms. Go somewhere else.

A mainstay for me. Boneless chicken kabobs, rice and Chick peas. Can’t say I’ve ever tried anything else on the menu. Bread is fantastic as well.

Finally tried this place after my old roommate raved about it, and yup! It’s pretty good. They offer specials daily so we went with the chicken curry, palak, and an order of samosas. We ordered on the spot and the food was out within 5 minutes. It was quick and painless and smelled delicious to-go. Each entrée came with salad, chutney, naan, and chickpeas and rice. The curry and palak were both generous portions with tons of yummy sauce, but a little skimped out on the meat. At first glance, it looked like boyfriend and I had a huge portion of meat in our orders, but a lot of it was mainly bone with a little bit of meat attached to it –so that was disappointing. The chick peas and rice were delicious though — they have this spicy kick to it unlike any other kabob places we’ve been to, so thumbs up for that. The chutney was so-so… I’ve had better as theirs was super runny with a bland flavor and the samosas were pretty good with a ton of filling. I’ll say I’m glad we tried this place, but it’s not my favorite. It’s close to home which is great and the chick peas were a hit with me, but I would hit up other places around the area.

Chickpeas and rice! My go to meal. I’ve had the chicken kabobs and lamb kabobs and both are delicious tasting too. But the chickpeas! So flavorful, spicy, aromatic. I could eat them every day for a year. Eat here! Enjoy! You’re welcome.

Four words: consistently excellent and always tasty. I’ve been coming to Ravi II once or twice a week since last year and the food has NEVER been disappointing. Their portions are generous and tantalize the tastebuds. My signature favorites are the lamb chops, spicy boneless chicken karahi, chick peas and their Wednesday special meatballs and eggs in curry. If anyone complains about this place I’d say they have no idea what good food is.

CASHONLY! Kabobs are good and halal. I personally like the other location that is across the street. It seems to be a lot better tasting which is ironic because they are owned by the same people! Who knows… Anyway, I got the chicken kabob that was overcooked and dry. Chickpeas were good, and I am faithful to their mango lassi. I like it, but still think location 1 is better than 2.

I live right by this place and had never gone until this weekend. We tried to go into Ravi I but it was too crowded, so we ventured across the street to Ravi II. I had the boneless chicken kabob with daal and a samosa. The samosa was great– flaky pastry and just the right amount of filling inside. The kabob and the daal/rice were equally delicious. Super flavorful and just the right mix of spices/rice to daal ratio. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because the service was suuuuuuuuuuper slow. Not a problem since we were having a leisurely Sunday afternoon lunch, but definitely could have done without the 20+ minute wait for any food. Will definitely be back though!

I love Ravi! While my favorite kabob house is in Alexandria, Ravi is great. I’ve ordered take-out from this location(same plaza as CVS; cash only). The owner(who I’ve not seen across the street) is always super friendly. As much as I want to try the chicken karahi, so far, I’ve always gone for the lamb kabob. It is tender and well-seasoned every time. The rich chickpeas and warm naan add to this satisfying meal, though I’ve had better rice and salad. Also, skip the samosa — I found mine to be greasy, limp, and flavorless. However, I’ll definitely head back for some delicious kabobs.

My favorite kabob place! I’ll make this short, their kabobs are tasty, they’re not the bland kind like a lot of other kabob places around here. They are pakistani-style kabobs that put a lot of flavoring and spices into their kabobs. Like everyone else says, the chickpeas here are delicious, hearty, and make you smile after you eat them because they are that good. You get a lot of food for what you get here, in fact, if you get a Ravi Special(one piece of Kubideh and 5 pieces of boneless chicken breasts), it should fill you up if you share this with one other person. One kabob for myself is usually too much. One thing I’ve heard is the Ravi Kabob House I is better than this one(the one across the street, the«II»). I don’t know this, I still think they taste the same but I’ve never eaten them side by side, and never saw a reason to since they are essentially the same thing, just different building. If anyone can confirm whether they are the same or if the original one across the street is really better, then let me know! Otherwise I will probably go to this one instead just because it’s less crazy, has more seating, and still has great kabobs.
