One of the best Lebanese places in DC. The ingredients were fresh and the meat was delicious.

I went with my friends. We did not like the food very much. It was very simple and I was not expecting so simple here. Ok, too much spicy not good here but little bit you can do. I may not go again.

This barely gets two stars, if only because the food is not inedible. That said, this is some of the dullest, most generic, under-spiced, and often bland Indian food you’ll ever eat. The menu is basically the same as you’ll find at most other Indian places of this caliber, but even by the standards of buffet places slinging uninspired rogan josh, vindaloo, saag paneer, and butter chicken, this is pretty tepid fare. The vindaloo in particular was quite sad, resembling a can of crushed tomatoes dumped on top of tough lamb with little more flavor than an odd amount of sugar. I’ll be honest, I don’t have a very high opinion of Clarendon and as such, this place sort’ve strikes me as the Indian restaurant it deserves.

Great Indian food with fresh homemade naan and both southern and northern Indian options. This place is a one stop shop and glad its in my neighborhood. It can be a little hard to find and even looks like its not popular but I think they do most of their business as delivery or takeout. Why do I say that? Well every time we go there is never anyone at the door to greet me and my girlfriend to seat me even though there is at most 2 tables being used. Then one time I walked in to get takeout at around 10:30pm(they open late) and they completely ignored me! Literally, I was standing at the counter staring at 3 employees who I guess were eager to go home? So, I just turned and left. I was stone cold sober but I guess they thought I was drunk? Anyway, if you’re hankering for good Indian food stop by! I’m currently working on my 5th visit.

I made an order through eat24. At the 1 hour 10 minute mark, I called them stating that my food had not been delivered. They stated that the driver was enroute and would be at my place in 10 minutes. Considering they are only 4 blocks away, I was confused as to how it had taken over an hour to get food this distance. At the 1 hour 15 minute mark, I got a missed call from the driver. When I tried to call back he did not pick up till 5 minutes later. He stated that somebody told him that I had received my order and that he had taken the food back to the restaurant. Considering the only call that I made was to the restaurant to see where my order was, I am confused as to how they thought they had previously sent me an order. I contacted eat24 to get a refund and while texting their representative, the restaurant told them that they were told that someone had already delivered the food. Who sends food twice to the same place and why wouldn’t the restaurant call to confirm this? As confused as I was, the service provided by Dehli Dhaba was horrendous and I will never order from here again.

Best Indian delivery I’ve ever had! The dry chicken tikka is perfectly juicy. Worth every penny

The place looks pretty decent and there is a nice combination of indoor and outdoor seating. The food on the other hand was a completely different story. I got the shahi paneer curry with naan. The naan seemed like it had simply been reheated; it didnt feel fresh at all. Parts of the naan felt like I was eating uncooked dough. The curry seemed like they got canned tomato sauce and heated it up with paneer and cut bell peppers. So, the food was quite terrible overall.

Update — after the renovation of the dining room, this is a nice place to dine in as well.

Ordered the quick-lunch to go that comes with 2 sides. I had the yellow lentils and butter chicken. Have had better. The lentils was too salty and the butter chicken was nothing special. Price was reasonable.

Great Indian food in a nice atmosphere, and the service is friendly and attentive! There are plenty of local Indian restaurants around here, but this is the one I keep coming back to. I wasn’t a big fan of them before their redesign a year ago, cause the buffet and environs felt a bit cheap. But now the food is great, and the patio seating outside is really nice! They have a few entrees that I haven’t seen at other places, plus some South Indian lentil crêpe and pancake side dishes. I also dig their English pale ales and IPAs, plus the $ 4 pints of Kingfisher. Definitely worth checking out!

Worst experience ever. Below average test. A big menu impressed me but most of the curries test same like a basic onion-tomato gravy(nothing extraordinary infact not even basic). Small quantity and overpriced. Waiters are rude, lairs and unprofessional. NOW Why I don’t like their service?: — we orderd a couple of drinks there and confirmed rates before placing order as these drinks were not mentioned in their menu. They charged us double for drinks and when we asked them for an explanation, waiter started yelling in front of his manger. trying to cover his mess by denying the fact that we confirmed the price before ordering. The worst part is manager or may be just other guy was taking his side. Woh we just spent more than $ 100 in your restaurant why would we try to save $ 20?

Stopped in only for dessert on the way back to the hotel room, and they were very courteous and friendly staff there! We got two orders of Kheer, and boy did it hit the stop! Wish we lived locally to try the rest of their menu!

Good food, not great. Parking was a hassle. In a recent visit, ordered butter chicken, lamb south Indian style and potato and green beans. Food was ok and not bad but nothing to write home about. Did the sit down, not the takeout.

Mediocre… no taste Order off the menu. Butter chicken was not cooked well(too sweet and watery), Chana was cold and roti dry. Pass on this one. Not much value.

One of my favorite restaurants, been here a few times over the summer, for dine in and takeout. The food is absolutely amazing! My friend and i usually come here for lunch buffet on the weekends, all you can eat for $ 12. They have a variety of veg and non veg options, fresh hot naan, different appetizers, rice and few sweets to choose from. They have indoor and outdoor seating available, so far we have eaten at their outdoor seating. The food is so full of flavor and delicious, if you didn’t pay attention, you’d eat your fingers off. For appetizers, they usually have the samosa, chat papri, aloo tikki and pakoda. Sweets include fresh bengali mithai, kheer and gulab jamun. The veg curries that we’ve tried are aloo gobhi, mutter paneer, paneer makhni, okra, dal makhni and navratan korma… all absolutely delicious along with kachumbar, mango chutney, cucumber raita and achar. You cannot go wrong with this place, I HIGHLYRECOMMEND you try this place! I can’t wait to go back!

Stopped by today for their all you can eat lunch. I enjoyed pleasant service and a well-stocked buffet. I had two plates and still wasn’t able to try everything. It all tasted fresh and cooked well. The naan was hot and tasted just right. $ 15 for the entire meal.

Our friend arrived first and she was the only table at the outside seating area. Since she was alone, the waiter gave her an appetizer for free to snack on while she waited for the rest of the party to arrive. As we were choosing what we want, our friend said that she was told the restaurant was having electrical problems in the kitchen. Okay, lights and everything are still on in the restaurant so we thought it should be fine. When we finally ordered, turns out the electric problem affected the oven. Therefore there’s no naan, no tandoori chicken, no lamb… So pretty much everything. My wife ordered curry and it only had 3 pieces of meat in the whole bowl. Throughout our dinner, we were the only table there but service was slow and the food wasn’t particularly good. Our server consistently disappeared for more than 10 – 15 mins at a time. I would not come back.

There are three Indian food restaurants that have my attention in the Clarendon/courthouse scene, each having their own strengths and weaknesses. Delhi dhaba’s strength was the taste. Top notch. Possibly the best in the area. But there is still room for improvement in other categories that the competition has an advantage over. Could be better overall experience, but I loved the food nonetheless.

Being Indian, I know what good Indian food is and unfortunately, I didn’t find it at Delhi Dhaba. Tried the weekend buffet, which while reasonably priced, tasted rather bland and Americanized. The restaurant attempts to offer a wide variety of items, but failed on the taste and quality. The experience and ambiance wasn’t much to rave about either as while plating your food, it feels like standing in the queue of a Subway restaurant behind a sneeze guard. Won’t be coming back here. And if the management is reading this, please keep cleaner plates.

$ 11 Sunday Brunch. From 11 am-3:30 pm. A nice selection of buffet items. Plenty of vegetarian options, which is why my family enjoys this place. Don’t come here expecting anything fancy. You eat off of styrofoam plates and with plastic silverware. There is no server during the Sunday Brunch. Water, eating utensils, napkins, plates and cups are within reach. Once you are done with your meal, you clear your own table. The buffet items are good but nothing mind blowing. There are better Indian buffets in Va. Not a bad place to visit if you’re in the area.
