I love BBQ. Their’s is okay… not great, not real bad. They seem to think that their hot/spicy is to die for, but it’s too much for me. and without the spicy/hot, it is just too plain.(So I mixed it half & half and made my own, just right!) Also, kind of gouges the wallet. Might go back, but I’m in no big hurry.

Probably best bbq place in Seattle. Coming from Memphis I was afraid to try bbq places here. But this bbq does meet my standards. I got the 3 meat sampler with brisket, pulled park and bbq ribs(side items beans and cornbread) The brisket was on the dry saltier side but still good esp if you dip it in their homemade bbq sauce. The ribs were done just right. My fav was the pulled pork. So tender and smoked flavor is just right. The beans here tasted pretty homemade with a little hint of spiciness. I wasn’t a real fan of the baguette looking bread that came with all orders but I loved the cornbread. Overall will be coming back for sure.

Pricey with generous portions of very good BBQ. However, they are big fans of spicy. The amount of red pepper on the night we were in overwhelmed the smoke in the meat. I love spicy, but I love smoky too. The BBQ sauce and the beans had too much pepper for the mild amount of smoke on the meat. The brisket was fall of the fork tender, though a little fatty. The pulled pork was tender and flavorful. Five stars without the overly spicy sauce and beans, but then it isn’t BBQ without sauce and beans.

By far the best BBQ around. Their pulled pork and brisket sandwiches are to die for. The staff is extremely friendly and their food is quality. My family loves this place.

Great bbq and service! Had a smoked meat salad and my friend had a pulled pork sandwich cornbread and chowder. Have to saw the corn bread was probably my least favorite, but the meat was excellent! Staff was very friendly and felt good about being there from the second I walked in. Can’t wait to go back and try more of their stuff.

Its billing as the best barbecue around Seattle if not in all of Washington made me skeptical but Moose Creek lives up to the hype. It’s a Texas-style joint and the signature dry-rub brisket is a great ambassador of central-southern eating. It’s tender and juicy with a good marble of fat throughout and seasoned sufficiently to not need much if any sauce. In fact you won’t want much sauce if you go for the hot stuff. A healthy infusion of blackberry bridges the gap between two worlds philosophically further apart than the 2,200 miles between them would suggest. The one order we got made a decent meal for two of us – and I’m not exactly small. I can’t remember the second side but the scratch-made beans were quite good and surprisingly savory. If I could find one fault it was the beer selection. I should’ve probably gone for one of the standards but I went for the Moose Drool, in hindsight a beer chosen for its kitsch value rather than its appropriateness. A somewhat heavy brown ale, it doesn’t have the brightness necessary to clear residual barbecue flavors. Think of it as an excuse to slum it with some macro brew. Remember, this is Texas style. When in Rome… My only gripe is the hours. The place closes early – seven from Monday to Saturday and at five on Sunday. But being that this is an owner-operator place, I have the feeling that the quality would suffer if it stayed open longer. If that’s the case, I’ll keep my mouth shut and enjoy. Without a doubt Moose Creek is going into the dining rotation. It’s respectable. And while it’s not exactly inexpensive, it’s good value.

So I went to a wedding that served texas BBQ the same day I had Moose Creek, and the cater was suppose to be from Texas himself! But let me just say, I liked Moose Creek better. We tried pulled pork and brisket, both were superb, brisket won by a little bit, maybe it was the tiny pieces of fat on the edge that’s crispy yet juice. The potato salad tasted homemade and was super delicious! My mouth is watering just thinking about all the food… mmmm.

Best BBQ in Seattle area? Probably. So good and delicious. The sauces are solid. Perfect. The meat is tender and melty. Pulled pork and brisket are easily the best but the chicken and ribs shouldn’t be ignored. The Mac salad and potato salad is phenom. Better than my grandma’s. Cornbread is best I’ve had considering it doesn’t have corn chunks in it. Did I mention the sauce? Yummy!

I had Moose Creek do all the food for my wedding. Everyone LOVED it! Seriously, no one can stop talking about the food! I sent people home with leftovers and you would think I was handing out all expense paid trips to Hawaii, they couldn’t believe their luck! We had brisket, ribs, pulled pork, chicken, potato salad, Cole slaw, beans, slider buns, and lots of BBQ sause, regular and HOT. I put out lots of pickles to go with it. I must have been asked 50 times where the food came from… «OHMYGODIT’S SOOOOOOOOGOOD!!!» Thank you, Moose Creek, for helping make my day the best wedding EVER!

What a gem! Good BBQ is nearly unheard of in WA state, so when I came across this joint, I tried to savor every bite because I knew it’d be awhile before I was in the area again. The tender pulled pork was a personal favorite — slathered with BBQ Sauce. The owner explained that this dish takes several hours(just under 20!!) to prepare which gave me even more appreciation for its perfection. Ribs, which normally I steer away from as a means of avoiding the guilt of barbarianism — were cooked just right also. Brisket was my boyfriend’s personal favorite, and I made the choice to dip the slices in the hot BBQ sauce for some sassiness. While the beans weren’t as sweet as I normally like them(they had a bit of a tang), I LOVED the potato salad, followed by the macaroni salad. And of course, Coca-Cola to complete the visit.

This place is unassuming… but coming from Memphis I know that just because a place is in a strip mall doesn’t mean it’s not going to be good… my only knock on this place right now is the parking lot paving made it a little tricky to get in… my girlfriend said, «let’s just go to McDonalds, it’s right there»… thank God I didn’t listen… we got the three meat sampler… someone had cleaned them out of their chicken earlier in the day… The brisket was hands down my favorite, though the pulled pork and ribs were solid as well… The cornbread was done right and it was legit… no butter needed… The beans and slaw were excellent, definitely freshly made but thankfully Howard(the owner and a great guy who took the time to talk to us) also brought me a small sample of the macaroni salad… it was incredible… Food was great, place was clean, service was fast and it was very easy to find off the 5… I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who is interested in having some good BBQ up in the Northwest…

They may not be from Texas, but they make BBQ like back home… slow smoked meats, homemade BBQ sauce. Not since I left Texas(and quietly mourning the closure of Blue Flame in Port Angeles) have I found anything remotely as good as back home. Moose Creek is my new favorite BBQ join. Home made BBQ sauce, watermelon lemonaid(which is a tad too sweet)… while I don’t really like their original BBQ sauce, I think their blackberry chipotle sauce is to die for. Two thumbs up! Definitely coming back!

This is one of the better BBQ places around. I love that their industrial smoker is right in the front of the restaurant. You can see the staff taking out big smoked pork butts and brisket as you wait. The food is good and actually has smoke flavor to it, and the bbq sauces that accompanies it is really good. I’ve had the ribs, chicken, and pork, but the hit is the brisket. They slice the brisket much thicker than most places, and it’s so tender you can cut it with a fork. I would never normally put peppercinis and cheese on brisket, but the moose creek classic sandwich is the best thing on the menu. The most surprising thing here are the buns. I always avoid sandwiches at bbq restaurants because the buns are always just some bs store bought buns that are usually dry. Here, the buns are really good and soft and add to the overall sandwich. The prices are higher than I expect and $ 19 for the two meat sampler was high compared to how much meat you actually get. Try the watermelon lemonade, it’s interesting and really refreshing.

A question many of us face daily is what would be a nice meal for dinner. This isn’t so easy to answer if your business involves traveling and you’re on the road daily as I am… and lets be honest, the typical restaurants just get old… I need something new… I look to my fellow Unilocalers and to what they have to say about the local cruisine. High on the local list was«Moose Creek Barbeque»…my first thought was we are not in Texas or even Tennessee… were in Arlington… BBQ, are you serious? Dang what a treat!!! Very nice lady tonight helped walk me through the menu… settling upon the brisket dinner. I ordered this without sauce, yes without sauce. It comes with two sides… I chose potato salad and ranch beans. Not to fall short, I also ordered two grilled hot links. Pack to go please!!! Let’s just say it perhaps was not a good idea to add hot links… too much food. The brisket is thick slice and large portion… oh and what flavors. This has to be one of the best brisket’s I have enjoyed in some time. Awesome!!! The meals are large… I couldn’t finish the full meal, including those two hot links that I added. This is a family business… I am almost certain that it was the husband and wife owners who assisted me with my meal tonight. Great customer service, a wonderful slow cook meal… fantastic all the way!!!
