Many of the regulars are douches. Waitresses suck, good luck getting one to help you. Manager is rude. Bartenders are good. Never tried the food. Shootings happen here!!! Fights occur because of the iffy crowd. Overall, try another place.

Reasonably priced drinks and good food. I LOVE the lemon pepper wings! It’s typically a little smokey in the bar and for a non smoker it’s a bit much. The owner and staff are really nice. I’ve never had a long wait for drinks or food. I always have a good time here.

Strolled in on a Friday and a pretty girl named Amanda waited on me at the bar. Good beer selection. Lots of regulars it seemed. I ordered the fish and chips which was surprisingly good. This place is basically a pool hall with food so in Arlington that means you can smoke like a broke stove in here if you want. Go during the day on Fridays and see Amanda, shes cool and takes god care of ya !!! Getcha pull !!!

cold beer blah food horrible service If you aren’t a middle aged man chasing titties then they will absolutely ignore you. I sat in a table for 20 minutes and no one even acknowledged me. I had to go and find a waiter and ask for service! Once I did order it took then almost 40 minutes to serve me some lame nachos. The place was damn near empty, half way through the service, the cook comes out of the kitchen and sits down and starts lounging it up with the bar hoochies. I guess that is why it took him 40 minutes to make me a 10 minute appetizer plate. Next time, we are going across the street to no frills grill.

So it’s the same place with a little of the grease cleaned up(Buffalo Joe’s). Even the same regulars sitting in the same spots at the same time. Amazing how a place can be closed for some time and immediately the day it opens it’s like some people didn’t skip a beat. So food — I want to try the Irish items out but haven’t yet. Upon recommendation I had the beef nachos. It was a huge plate but they were just pretty basic nachos. Not memorable at all. Drinks — good prices, good selection. More beers than before on tap and the bar seems to flow better as the kegs were moved in back to a cooler instead of hindering the bartenders feet. Ambiance — still has smoking, I’d rather it not but may people go there because it does. The filter at the ceiling seems to work better, no longer emits sparks and strange noises. Cleaner than before. Brighter lighting than before too, less seedy feeling. Gaming — Pool tables are much nicer but wish someone locally would put in true full sized table you could play snooker on. Darts — wow, a few true dart lanes without having to drive to Sherlock’s. However I see this taking up an area you could host many tables and decreasing overall revenue potential, but that’s the business side. People — GREAT people. Some great bartenders and staff so far. Joey, Brittanie and a couple other names I can’t remember are great. I will go back for the people for sure.

Bottom line, it’s decent. Food and drinks: I had a Guiness and the fish and chips. The fish was a precut commercial cod patty that was pre-breaded then fried on site. It was good cod, but not great cod. I was hoping a secret Fish and Chip Gourmet connoisseur had come out of the closet and was trying to make a small statement from the back of an Irish Pub. Nope. It wasn’t bad though. It wasn’t «fishy». It was hot and the grease wasn’t old(nor would it be on the third day of operation). I’ve had better and far worse. Generally, I enjoyed it but can’t say I’ll rave about it tomorrow. They get kudos for having malt vinegar on hand. It was also served with a small cup of tartar sauce(which I didn’t try) and a couple of lemon slices. The fries were hot and freshly fried out of a bag/box as opposed to freshly cut. That’s ok. They were good. There was no coleslaw(fish and chips. not fish, chips, and slaw). So that’s it for the food. The menu had other bar type food on it(fried mushrooms and pickles) and half a dozen varieties of half pound burgers, a club sandwich, and a few other items. It wasn’t extensive and I didn’t expect it to be. The Guiness was good and served at the typical American ale refrigerator temperature you’d find most places here — in other words, it wasn’t cool instead of cold. I’d bet most Texans don’t want it just cool but some Irish pubs go for authenticity so I figured I’d point it out. They had a few other flavors of ales and Blue Moon for you barley haters. They also have a full service bar with all the liquors, liqueurs, and mixers. Interior: They haven’t changed much from the prior owner’s bar that went belly up which also didn’t change much from the bar before that which closed because of relationship issues.(I drive by daily on the way to work for the last 11 years. The week after it closed back then, a large letter sign above the door said«You got what you wanted b**** I hope you are happy»). I digress. One side of the bar/pub, has several pool tables and a handful of bar tables that aren’t in the way of those playing pool. The other half is divided by the full service bar. One side has several small tables and 2 dart boards. Some dudes were playing darts. The other side has a handful of small regular heighth tables and a few video games along the front wall. There were three or four 1080p flat screen tv’s around the place(about 40″) showing the baseball game. Music playing was a mix of rap, country, rapping country, and one song that alternated between rap and country. Smoke: this place is more pub than grill. As such, there was smoking going on. It wasn’t in my face or overwhelming but it wasn’t smoke free. Service: The gal that waited on me was nice, fast, and helpful. I tipped her well and cannot find fault in a single thing she did the entire time she waited on me. Posted 51%. For those that care, you know what I mean.
