New to the area, so decided to try the local stuff. I ordered takeout from here, and the person on the phone was pleasant. Order was ready in about 15 minutes, which was no problem at all. The place looked clean, and wasn’t crowded in the least. I ordered the shawarma and fries. The presentation was good, and the fries were fresh. Problem was, the meat wasn’t really hot by the time I got home; not even 2 minutes! I called about 45 mins before close, so maybe they cleaned up already thinking they’d have no new customers. The flavor of the food was good, but of course I didn’t make it through the meal. If I do go back, it’ll most likely be to eat in.

The food was great except the hummus. The hummus was so salty couldn’t even eat it. We had a to go order and it took 40min. Weird thing was that only 1 customer was sitting in and it still took so long. Very disappointed. I usually love Mediterranean food but this place isn’t something I would recommend to my friends or others mainly because of their slow service.

I found this location through the Unilocal App. I have to confess up front I don’t know much about Mediterranean food, but am wanting to expand my palate. I’m not sure how to compare if one dish is considered good as I’ve not had much exposure to this style of food. Nice modern clean corner restaurant, smaller in size, and staffed with friendly people. The waitress helped us understand the menu as I am clueless over the meaning of say, Tahini or Shawarma. Not really knowing what to order, I tried an appetizer of Baba Ghanoush. It is a fire roasted egg plant(lends a smoky flavor) that is blended until smooth, mixed with olive oil, tomatoes, onions, and spices. It is a smooth blend that goes on a side of pita bread. I enjoyed the dish and would order it again. I ordered a plate of Chicken Shawarma with Tahini sauce. I had the option of a plate style serving instead of the assembled sandwich. I liked the side dish of hummus. The side dish of Arabic salad was fun to try, but essentially a cucumber salad. I’m not the biggest cucumber fan, but wanted to try it. I burped cucumber for hours and no other flavors were present in the salad except cucumber. If you like cucumber, this is your salad. The pita bread was good. I wasn’t too crazy about the chicken, though. Might be that I haven’t tried other chicken shawarma to understand what it is. Seemed like a dry shaved white bland meat. The tahini sauce was mild and ok. The chicken was so dry though, that even the pickles, tomato slices, tahini sauce, and whatever else I could put inside the wrap, wasn’t enough to overcome the bland dry meat. Like I said, I’m not sure how to judge shawarma, as maybe it is supposed to be that way. I truly an new to this, so take my comments lightly. I am almost hesitant to mention this next part, as I want this restaurant to succeed. I know mistakes can happen. When I received my dinner plate, there was a rather large thick long black hair rather prominently curled up on the plate. It was obvious enough I saw it immediately. Not sure how that escaped the cook and the waitress, but it was too obvious to not see. Overall, I enjoyed the visit and would come back. I hope this restaurant makes it. I can tell they are hard working people wanting to carve a slice of success out of the industry and I wish them all the best.

Never again. I pass this place everyday and decided to give it a try after seeing some good reviews here. I ordered a chicken schwarma and a beef schwarma sandwich. I could barely eat either of them. The sandwiches were so dry I could hardly chew them. If I had not been so hungry, they would have gone in the trash.

This was probably a good place to eat I just have never had this type of food. Quick service during lunch time. I had the chicken schwarma and falafel, decent but will try something else the next time I go.

Don’t let the casual open layout fool you, authentic and flavorful menu. The gyro plate with the rice and Greek salad was so satisfying and hearty. Cooked traditionally adds the healthy component. Nice to have a glass bottle of Coca-Cola to add to the uniqueness of the occasion.

Mohammed and Jamie make this a friendly warm environment to truly enjoy a delicious meal. My first time eating here and what a treat. The lamb is absolutely delicious flavorful cooked to order and a very memorable dish. If I had one recommendation to the back eighth of the kebab was a little bit over cooked. With that said I would have the same exact cook on the same exact kebab 20 out of 20 times yes it was that good. They garnish the plate with a roasted tomato and roasted jalapeño, what a lovely edible garnish. I couldn’t get over the service though, as they were constantly engaging me as a customer, ensuring all my dining needs were met. The Baba ghanouj was nice and smoky having a rich flavor a real pleasure of texture taste scent all of the senses become engaged. For me one of the real highlights of the meal was the Turkish coffee. The 1st cup dark thick bold flavor, and that second cup bordering on syrup, and then your 3rd cup of coffee grounds so thick that you could use it to scrub the way tarnish from a spoon. Oh yes exactly the way you want it so if you are a Turkish coffee aficionado most assuredly stop in and enjoy. I will unquestionably be back.

I had no idea this place was here, but was excited to try something different than the usual lunch offerings in the area. I ordered the chicken breast plate with hummus and arabic salad. The lady was very friendly taking my order and when I picked it up. Food was good, and the portions were huge. I now have lunch for tomorrow! Definitely looking forward to coming back.

First time checking this place out and it is pretty delicious! I ordered the beef sandwich with hummus and tomatoes. Mmmm! Impressive ! I’ll be coming back here for sure. Friendly staff greeted me when I walked in. I thought it was a little weird that the kitchen was open to the seating area.

Allrighty, they brought themselves back up to 3 stars. I brought the same 2 people that were there for my 1-star review. The food was fantastic, I will definitely give them that. They fixed whatever chef problem they had. The server was extremely nice, but forgetful. We ordered falafel and I asked for some extra plates. We never got those. We ordered humus and I asked for a side of pita bread, even saying«It’s fine if you have to charge us.» Never got the bread. The falafel and humus tasted great though. My brother’s gyro sandwich came out nearly 10 minutes after mine. Mine sandwich came out nearly 5 minutes after my mom’s gyro plate. I really feel like this place would be prime for one of those«Bar Rescue» type shows, except for restaurants. The chef can make some damn good food, but there needs to be some management that can run the place. I want this place to survive and I will continue to go back.

Ok, so this is my 1st Mediterranean food try. Flavor is off the charts good! My friend had me hyped on trying this place out for a whole week and today was finally the day. So we got orders to go for lunch. Flavor was deffinetly ONPOINT but… freshness was SUPER lacking. I got Beef Shawarma with long grain rice and Fatoush salad for my sides. The salad was my favorite due to the dressing it came with. It was lettuce, pitta chip shards, tomatoes, cucumber and onions. The long grain rice had a nice strong cinnamon-e taste to it. From there I was disapointing by freshness. The beef was very dry and I wondered if it was from last night. The pita bread was STONECOLD and very old. When I went to tear some off for my meat it made a cracking sound like it was a piece of dry bark from a tree. I powered through it and went the Hispanic way of making a burrito/taco of sorts. And just chewed away on pita and meat. You get tomatoes and purple onion with the meat and this BADASS sauce called Garlic Sauce.(this stuff was the best but you better be a garlic fan cause it was Mad Mad garlic flavor. Like a sour cream n garlic schmear) chewing hella gum now but damn it was worth it. I’ll definitely try this place again, just hope next time I can get some fresh meat shavings and pita. Would have gone 4 stars for sure if the food had been fresh n hot.

Great lunch option for a quick but filling tasty meal. I had the shawarma platter with some mezze samples and while nothing was exceptional, everything was good and well seasoned. The service was prompt and friendly and the prices are very moderate. Will return.

My husband and I were visiting from out of town and this restaurant was very close to our hotel. We decided to try it for lunch, and I’m so glad we did! We both ordered a large pot of tea with mint and the chicken shawarma. Yum! I had a side of Baba Ganoush which I had never tried. It was delicious! The staff was great and the restaurant was very clean. Can’t complain at all!

A friend whom I work with told me about this place. We were both addicted to Gyros back when we lived in Huntington Beach, CA and he described this place to be like the spot we use to frequent very often, so naturally I had to try it. Walking in the door I was immediately greeted before I even made it to the counter to order which was nice. A quick look around and you notice how clean the restaurant is, a very nice delicatessen style layout and the food is cooked in front of you so you can see whats going on which is very nice. The women who took my order was very nice and polite. Once I ordered I sat down and was greeted by another woman who asked me how I was doing and asked if I cared for a beverage while I waited, another plus. It took about 15 minutes for my food(to go) to finish up and in the mean time I watched both women walk around checking on the customers, conversing with them and asking if they needed anything. I really wasn’t worried about the time it took for my food, it takes time to make FRESH food that was absolutely delicious and I would rather have that than a bad meal. I ordered the Beef Gyro with an order of fries. Once I got back to the office I was pleasantly surprised with the portion of fries and the size of the Gyro, certainly a value IMO. Once I took a bite memories came back of us eating these back home… often times we had these after a night out on the town, that’s typically when food taste best IMO… those cravings you get and this certainly hit the spot. The fresh made cucumber sauce really enhanced the flavor of the meat. I plan to go back often as its down the street from my work and I really cant wait to try out other offerings. I also would like to state that lowering a review rating because you do not like the layout of someone else s restaurant and how its not setup the way you would like it to be for takeout is absolutely absurd. Also, this isn’t McDonalds, food isn’t sitting there pre-made and warm for you for a speedy take out… sheesh. Thanks for the great experience and the great customer service provided. See you soon!
