I hope I don’t get food poison! I started eating when I realized the cookie fortune had a hole and has missing a peace! Yes it looked like a Rat got into it!!! I felt like vomiting at that point! Don’t even think! Is it really worth it! Just keep driving you could find another place a few blocks away!

On business trip till Monday and ordered Chinese to my hotel cause weather was extremely unbearable for myself being from Texas. Well the order took about 75 minutes despite being told 45 min. I ordered pork fried rice which was mediocre and the lemon chicken just awful, three it in the trash. The place came recommended by the hotel and found out cause they get free plate but food was not up to par.

Food was mediocre. Delivery time was terrible. They quoted 30 – 45 minutes and it took 75 minutes, so it arrived lukewarm.

This place is nearby and delivers. When I’m in the mood for chinese I generally order pork or chicken fried rice and wontons, sometimes egg drop soup. It’s really good for the price and they bring the food quick. Also, you don’t get wildly different quality each time you order, it seems to be very consistent, which is good when you’re craving it!

I ordered food with my colleagues from this restaurant. We were excited because they provide both vegetarian and regular meals. I and another vegetarian ordered vegetarian general Tso’s. However, when the order came, we realized we’d received beef with broccoli instead of vegetarian chicken. Of course, when you get the wrong order at a restaurant there’s usually a very simple solution. You call the restaurant, they apologize, and then they bring you the order you actually paid for. This was not the case. We called and immediately the woman on the other side sounded frustrated. We calmly explained that the orders must have been mixed up, but they insisted that we had received the right order. So adamantly that the woman told us repeatedly«There’s no point in sending you a new order because it will be exactly what we sent you before.» After being passed around to 3 people in the restaurant, there were completely adamant about not replacing our meal. Finally, having wasted far too much time arguing about a meal that was supposed to be easy, we hung up and requested a refund from grubhub. Needless to say, no one at my company will ever be ordering from Good Fortune Chinese Restaurant again. The food was atrocious but the service was even worse. Maybe eating in the restaurant is a more positive experience. I am glad to say I will never find out.

This Chinese food is my favorite. I live closer in columbia pike so every time I order the food, and just go pick up. The cashier was very friendly and nice, every time I went there to pick up my food. I’m so pleased with this place.

Don’t order anything beyond the BASIC staples of Chinese takeout. Fast delivery, nice delivery guy and the veggie lo me¡n was good but the honey walnut shrimp… my gawd. I opened the lid and just looked at it. Annnnnnd now it’s in the trash. Still in search of good go-to Chinese takeout place :(

Few good Chinese restaurants exist in this area of Virginia. I’m used to there being amazing Chinese food options when I lived in Maryland. This place doesn’t have a sit down, it’s purely delivery with only two parking spots in front of the business. It’s good though. I can order it online through my phone, and it’ll arrive at my home in 30 minutes. It’s still not out of this world, but it does the trick compared to the other options nearby.

TERRIBLE! First they forgot our rice and the crab Rangoon. When those finally arrived there was nothing inside the crab Rangoon! Double cooked pork was very bland, Kung pao shrimp was ok. We will never order from them again!

I would give no stars if possible. Repeated calls about my order status were met with terrible customer service; my order arrive 3.5 hours late with no explanation, no discount even after I asked, and no empathy for why this would upset me. After I had given up on the food at 2 hours in and eaten something else and gne to bed, they rang my doorbell 3.5 hours late at 12:30am!!! When I called the manager(after they did not honor the call back promised) his only response was to tell me to call seamless. He hung up on me.

The food was great! But there was a big dark hair in my food. It made me sick and I had to through the food away.

I really wanted to like this place. The delivery was reasonably quick and they provided a free bottle of Sunkist orange soda [entertaining — we thought they gave us the wrong order at first!]. We used the Unilocal system, from eat24, to place the order and it was super easy. The problem is, the food looks right, but it doesn’t taste like much. That is, the General Tso’s chicken looks nice and pretty, but it doesn’t have any flavor. How is this possible? We deliberately specified hot/spicy for all the items and none of it… tasted like anything. The only reason I’m giving this two stars instead of 1 is that I think if the owners/chefs up the spice/flavor anty, they have a chance at being a reasonable hole in the wall chinese joint. Gosh I hope they do.

I wish I’d read reviews here before ordering delivery from Good Fortune. We ordered pineapple chicken, beef, lo mein an egg roll and received 2 free spring rolls. We’ll somehow they forgot to put my egg roll into the bag. The Pineapple chicken was a big disappointed. It’s just breaded chicken with some weird sauce. I didn’t taste or see any pineapple, I almost feel like crying that I wasted my money at this place and I want my money back. The two free spring rolls were very greasy; like I could lotion up my entire family with the grease. As for the beef lo mien it was okay, my boyfriend said«not bad.» I thought it was a bit salty. Our order also took about an hour to arrive; which i’m not used to. I guess the bottom line is; I have my favorite Chinese restaurant to order delivery from in Arlington but I just had to try a new place to try something«different,» well I got something different… different and nasty… I will never eat from this place again… unless there’s an apocalypse and this is the only place left standing and then again i’d probably rather eat dirt. The end of my very dramatic review

I’m still in search of a delivery Chinese Place and this place falls short badly. My order was taken via the phone for delivery. The delivery did not take long at all. The food on the other hand, was very bad. I ordered the General Tso’s chicken Combo with fried rice. While the rice was hard but still edible, the chicken was not. If I had to put into words about the chicken, I defiantly have to say they were not your ordinary size chicken. These things had to be on steroids. They were HUGE and tough, the texture was not like anything I’ve seen before. I think I’m going to have to take my talents and taste buds back to Chinatown DC. Good Fortune, Bad Judgment

No. Never again. As my stomach continues to wail out in hunger, my mind cannot process how an order that was placed(now) actual HOURS(plural!) ago never arrived, even after the driver told GrubHub it was«on its way». Do you hate hotel guests? Are you team and this is all a passive-aggressive web in which I’ve become ensnared? Not my good fortune after all. *rimshot*

1.5 stars. The .5 is for the fact that I was hungry and the food was delivered on time. This is the most bland and sloppily put together meal I’ve had in NoVa yet. I ordered General Tso’s chicken, hot and sour soup, and wonton soup. How did this place manage to ruin these basic American Chinese dishes? FAR too much cornstarch in the general tso’s dish, no hot chile peppers, fried rice instead of white rice, and both soups were devoid of flavor. The wonton soup especially might as well just be bread and water. Even the little crackers that come with the soup were bland and a bit soggy. This was the first dish in a long time that I considered throwing out. And coming from an immigrant family, throwing out food is not at all tolerated so you know the meal must’ve been high on the meh scale. The only decent part of the meal was the egg roll. Ignore this review at your peril.

I found Good Fortune to be a bit better than your average American-style Chinese restaurant. None of the food was incredible, but the spicy veggie beef with broccoli was actually really good, and the other dishes(vegetable moo shu, orange veggie chicken, veggie chicken in black bean sauce) were all good enough to be enjoyable. Delivery was fast, they threw in a free bottle of soda or spring roll, and I appreciated a vegan section right on the menu. Nothing was fried(I was actually hoping for some crunchy deep-fried goodness, but maybe the vegan menu they try to make a bit healthier), and I was pleasantly surprised that every dish was both quite large and full of vegetables as well. Sure, they were a bit overcooked, but still better than your typical Chinese joint. They have a coupon(that you just mention, no need to bring in) where for $ 6 you can get your choice of a few entrees for dinner Mon-Wed 6pm-8pm. All three are for meat dishes, but I’m hoping they’d offer it with the vegetarian equivalents. I’ll definitely come back here when I want this kind of food.

Ignore the stupid petty reviews from here because I know good service when I see it. This restaurant goes above and beyond with delivery. Food is always SO tasty, especially their pan fried dumplings! Prices are very reasonable, cheaper than most of the Chinese restaurants in this area. My least favorite would be their chicken wings, but that’s okay: they are actually chicken sized rather than ones that seem like they were grown in a chemical factory. Just could use more seasonings. I am only giving this place a 4-star because I’ve only done delivery with them, but if my dine-in experience suffices, they will be a 5-er without a doubt. They have a VERY nice deal with dinner between Monday through Wednesday(6−8PM) where a dinner size General Tso/Beef with Broccoli/Sweet & Sour Chicken is only $ 5.95! A STEAL! All in all, great food for us lazy Arlingtonians, fast, and great service from the deliverers. This is now my favorite go-to Chinese place. You won’t be disappointed!

This is your pretty standard take-out chinese place. The spring rolls were still crunchy when they arrived so I was happy about that. We also ordered the pork dumplings and the veggie dumplings. The dumpling dough was really thick but the sauce was great. The pork one was definitely better than the veggie one. That’s all we ordered and at the end of the night my husband really wasn’t feeling well. I was fine so we’re not sure it was the food, but the food definitely wasn’t good enough to bring us back so we’ll be looking for a new chinese place.

I can’t even, ugh, like, so bad. I don’t expect much of Chinese delivery but this was awful. I ordered the vegetarian general tso chicken. I poked at it. tried it. promptly tossed it. It was just that bad. Like the other reviewers, I wish I’d just made that grilled cheese I ended up eating.
