I’ve been there a couple of times and had horrible experiences. The place is very filthy and very unsanitary. I will not be going back there!

Top Load, 20, 30 and 60lb capacity washers and plenty of dryers. Best of all, open 24hrs a day! The floors are clean and the machines are maintained.

I just moved to this area and have been trying to find a decent laundromat. This is probably the best so far. Pros: 60, 40 and 30 lbs washers ranging from 6.25 — 3.25. Dryers are hot and fast! I did 60 lbs for 45 mins and they were too hot to touch hot! A little restaurant attached which has really good food for being a hole in the wall. I was able to watch my washer and dryer while eating yummy Peruvian food! Service was very nice to me, even though I did not speak spanish, they were still very helpful. Pretty clean place, for a laundromat! LOTS of washers and dryers! 24 hours is always awesome for us insomniacs! Cons: Parking is tight. There is ample parking, like maybe a total of 3 rows — two right in front and then a long one along the back side of the lot. But you share it with the restaurant and a couple other businesses on the other side of the lot. Its off a major street so getting in and out could be tricky depending of course on the day and time. I will definitely come back to this place when I have large loads to do! And for the grilled chicken next door!

Other than it being 24⁄7 I don’t see any draw. The machines are old and it’s sketchy.

Stackable washer/dryer combo units, prevalent all over apartments in Ballston are tiny! I don’t have time to wait for really small loads to be done, so I’ve relegated myself to wash and fold. Come to this week, when my dryer decided to die on me at midnight while my wife was packing for vacation doing an emergency load and we’re leaving the next night. No time for wash and fold and it’s midnight so I did a quick search for 24 hour laundromats… And that’s how I found Forest Laundromat! Now since it was 12:30 on a Thursday night, the place was a ghost town with only 2 other people doing laundry and an employee busy vacuuming out the dryers. As it’s on Columbia Pike, there were Spanish-speaking channels on all the TVs. However, I had my iPad and headphones, plus there’s free WiFi with 20Mbps Internet(yes I’m a nerd and did a SpeedTest) so it wasn’t really a big deal as I just watched movies on Netflix. Now it being my first time ever using machines at a laundromat I had no idea what I was doing, but a nice older Asian man helped me out. He also saw my iPad and gave me the WiFi password. The washers range from $ 1.75 for a top loader(think traditional size) all the way to $ 6.25 for a 60 lb machine. The dryers come in two sizes, 30lb and 50lb and cost a quarter per 7 min or 5 min respectively. I threw my stuff into a 30lb dryer, popped a dollar in quarters in and that was it! I can’t imagine coming here when it’s busy, and it’s not on the way to work for me, so I doubt I’ll try their wash and fold, but if you’re ever in a bind and need to do laundry, this is the place to go!

It’s a laundromat. Cleaner than some I’ve been in. If you go during the week(morning, early afternoon) it’s not very crowded and I’ve never had a problem finding washers/dryers. I love their 60 pound washers. I can wash 3 loads of clothes in one fell swoop, and be in and out in about an hour and a half. The big dryers dry super quick. It’s 25 cents for each 5 minute increment but it gets so super hot that I can dry those same 3 loads of clothes in one dryer in 30 minutes. Whenever I’ve had a machine go wonky on me, the owner has been quick to come fix the problem or refund me and help me move to another machine. Kids are welcome there… in fact both the owners I’ve met have been very nice about offering my kids sweets, drinks, ice cream(after asking my permission first, of course). Pee at home, though, as the bathrooms are ick. But there are vending machines, a jukebox, video games, a Peruvian restaurant, 7-Eleven, and Burger King all less than a minute away if you need a diversion while your clothes are washing.

I hate laundry mats but it is actually kind of fun to go here. Has a good Mexican style restaurant attached to it.

No, it’s not a super duper fancy schmanzy laundromat but they do a job well done with their wash and fold services which I have been using for quite sometime now and the staff is very very friendly.

The other reviews made this place sound like a dump but I agree with the last Unilocaler, it’s just a laundromat. Nothing too fancy: washers, dryers, old irrelevant arcade games, change and snack machines. There are 20 – 50 lb washers and dryers all ranging in price from $ 1.75 per load(the standard use) to $ 5.00. Drying starts at 25 cents per 7 minute increments. I went around midnight and it was pretty busy in there, one cool thing was there was a machine that let you play your choice of music for a small fee. At one point it was me and another guy playing DJ trying to battle for the best play-list…I won of course! Safe, well lit, and got my clothes cleaned and dried all for less than $ 10.

I disagree with the previous Unilocaler. There are a ton of front load 60 and 40 lb washers and ample huge dryers. The place isn’t perfect, but its good enough for what it is.

Avoid. But before you do, please tell me where I can bring comforters and enormous blankets to wash? While I was waiting for the dryers(one which never worked, thanks so much, and I wasn’t even going to try to explain this to the attendant to attempt a refund) I started to wonder if the hot water even got stuff clean. Then I started folding and something fell on the floor, and then decided that the floor was so gross that there was no way I was sleeping in that sheet. I don’t care how hot the water is/was, or the fact that there is a Ms. Pac Man machine… there is a sign saying to please watch your kids, but there were tons of them running around, screaming, etc… and I just wanted to do my laundry. Calgon, please take me away(to a place with a large front-loader!)…
