Came here on a hot day feeling totally thirsty and parched. So I came here and bought a few bottles of water. But then I was feeling sleepy. Should I dehydrate myself and get a cup of joe, or hydrate and stick with water… water won! Store was tidy and clean.

I title this review: Asian Kid True Story Growing up my father owned a convenience store so naturally this meant a large chunk of my childhood was spent in a windowless back room in Fort Belvoir reading tabloid magazines and gorging on Otis Spunkmeyer cookies, Crystal Pepsi and Hostess Snack Cakes next to a carsboard cut out of Kathy Ireland. Because of this experience, I kind of fancy myself a convenience store connoisseur. Nowadays, I stop by this 7 – 11 to pick up my yuppie purchases of almonds and Vita Coco when I’m too lazy to go to the Giant across the street but a little part of me yearns a little bit for the past whenever I pass by a pink sno ball. This 7 – 11 is pretty bare bones but it gets things done when you are in a hurry. To really compete with other stores in the neighborhood it should: 1) Offer a better selection of beer and wine(K1 across the street surprisingly offers a large selection of craft brews) 2) Offer a Red Box(The 7 – 11 a few streets down also offers this convenience) 3) Repave parking lot — — it’s a mess! But if you’re in the mood for some hot wings(surprisingly good at 3 pm at night), you can’t go wrong!
