Love to order tamales for Christmas from here. This year they ran out of my favorite spinach tamales. 4 – 5 days prior to Christmas. Still great food and nice staff

Very good, family chain of Tex-Mex Restaurants. I grew up on Cheese Enchiladas, I’m now a Senior Citizen, and theirs is about as good as they get. Ask for the Cheese Sauce instead of the Chili. Ask for Piti, she has been there for over 25 years and can give you good advice if you have questions.

The food was to die for. Had the beef tacos and I cleaned the plate. Waitress was on top of it! I have nothing bad to say about this place. I will be visiting it at least one more time on my stop in Arlington.

I have been looking for puffy tacos here and thought I found the spot. They were more like crispy fried puffy chalupas. The meat was more of a mashed paste with no authentic flavor to speak of. Wife and I ate 1 each on our plates that had two. With water 18 and change making this dream turn sour. Customer service was not there even after sharing my thoughts on the horrible plate and was told the total of my bill with little regard to our satisfaction. One of the wait staff agreed with me, that they were nowhere close to the ones I grew up with in San Antonio.

I tried the beef enchiladas with a tamale, and was disappointed again. They brought the tamale on a separate plate. What was the purpose of that? The tamale was cold like it was just taken out of the freezer and microwaved for too short a period of time. The enchiladas were ok, but they brought me cheese enchiladas instead of beef enchiladas. Do they not know the difference between cheese and beef? My water glass was so full of ice it left little room for water. The server never came back so I had a meal with no water, but a glass of ice. The chips were stale and tasted like they were left over from the night before. It will be a long time before I come back.

The food is excellent. The service is great. We’ve been eating here at least twice a month for the last 25 years.

I told someone I used to pass by this place every week for years, but I never tried it, so he took a few of us to try it out one night. The doctor that I used to shadow told me he went here a few times a month. It has to be pretty good, then right? As we walked in, I noticed that the house was pretty full! Everyone seemed to be very comfy and enjoying their night. There was a huge group celebrating a birthday, too. The complimentary chips and salsa were wonderful for my grumbling tummy. It might have been because I was really hungry, but I couldn’t seem to get enough of the chips and salsa. The people at my table(including myself) had to get multiple salsa refills and at least one chip basket refill. The chips were warm and crispy. The salsa was not too spicy, but just right for my taste. We all ate it with our meal too. I got the Combination No. 2 that came with one cheese enchilada with chili, one soft cheese taco, topped with chile con queso, one toasted meat taco, and one tostada with guacamole for $ 9.85. I really enjoyed the guacamole, as well(: I guess I don’t really order enchiladas often, but apparently that’s there specialty here. I thought they were okay. The toasted meat taco wasn’t bad. The servers were very attentive and helpful. They came back to the table to check on us a few times, and they didn’t mind constantly refilling our waters and our salsa bowls: P I’m pretty sure I’ll be coming back for the chips and salsa when I’m craving one day. I’ll probably try another entrée though.

Salsa was on the spicy side but the rest of the food was just not spiced at all. The chips were the best part of the meal. However the staff was very friendly and service was excellent.

Great little Mexican café. Love the food. They have great deluxe nachos. They have the best charro beans. The waitresses are sweet. Needless to say but I will be going back.

The food was appreciated most by the 5 year old with us. The wife and I were not impressed. Tasted somewhat pre-prepared. In each basket of chips perhaps 2 weren’t crushed. Not sure if there was any tequila in the margarita. When the bill came, as my wife had the card I handed her the bill. The waitress pointed her finger at me telling me I should be paying. We won’t be going back.

Driving around craving tacos. All the reg fast food places weren’t making the list. Just stoped off here. Place looked really down home and friendly from the outside. Knew something was up when I saw the menu and pricing. More expensive then Chuys. should have just gone to Chuys. Food VERYMEDIOCRE. Pricing was way to high for the quality. If you like this food, go to Oak Cliff and get better food for less $$.

My husband and I happened by this place and went in for lunch. It was delicious! We both got cheese enchiladas, which we loved. The best thing was the charra beans. They were amazing! The waitstaff was very friendly and our food came out quickly.

We finally visited this place for the first time today, we enjoyed the food but the waiter(Lucas) was sooooo rude and snippy! I would probably visit again but I don’t think my other family members would.

We went here for lunch and the food was very good. I loved the chips and salsa. I ordered a taco and cheese enchilada and my mother in law ordered the chile rellano. My only complaint is that their cheese sauce could be better. It was thin and not how I think of queso. Would definitely go back.

Pulidos has been here a long time, this location has some of the better classic TexMex food. I usually get the cheese enchilada plate, with the usual rice and refried beans. Friends that come sometimes have always liked the food as well. Can’t really go into a long winded review here, all I can say is I have always like the food here, margaritas are pretty decent even though it’s been awhile since I had one, and I don’t hesitate coming back.

Pulido’s isn’t really the kind of place you seek. It’s more like a place you end up at. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, however! I was starving the other night, roaming around Arlington aimlessly, and decided to give Pulido’s a shot. They were bustling with people, looked cozy, and I knew they’d have chips and salsa to satisfy my hunger. It was the kind of hungry where you can’t wait for a meal! The chips were warm, salsa fair, and my meal — Carne de Puerco Con Chile Colorado — was particularly lovely. Such moist, fall-apart, melt-away pork in a rich red sauce. Only the margaritas were sub-par, yet still I drank the whole thing. Lots of patrons looked mighty comfortable at Pulido’s, like they’d been there for hours, just hanging out. The wait staff was beyond attentive and friendly — so I understand why you’d want to stick around. They’ll make you homemade tamales for Christmas as well. you might still have a day or two left to order!

Café Pulido is a great example of what I call commuter lunchtime Mexican food. It’s good enough to go to with coworkers if you work nearby, but it’s not a destination to go out of your way for. The lunch specials are affordable and commensurate with the quality of the food; the dinner prices however are not. They are too high for Mexican food of moderate quality. My honey order carne guisada, I ordered beef fajitas. Mine were overly smoked, rice and beans pretty bland. I liked his carne guisada better than my meal. Chips and salsa were average. Service was fine, not memorable and nothing to complain about. I usually am more verbose but really I don’t have much to say. It’s quite forgettable as it is so similar to the majority of the other Tex-Mex options around.

Love this place. Very consistant. Ask to sit in Lucas or Petys section. And if you go at lunch you get a free sopapilla!

I have been here twice An above average tex-mex café. Service: great, polite, attentive. The staff have uniforms and combed hair. One of the highlights. Chips & salsa: warm, store bought chips. The chips are a little salty. The salsa was okay, but resembled a spicy ketchup. Food: i ordered the Fajita plate. They were good, but not outstanding. Wished the onions were caramelized rather than translucent. The same went for the bellpeper. Pretty decent portion.
My second time I ordered a plate of Tamales with Chile. This was salty thick corn covered bland beef all smothered in a below average chilli sauce. Tamales are of my favorite dishes and this to me was a crying shame. I did not even come close to finishing my plate, which for me is a rarity. For me this is the nail in the coffin. I shall not be visiting this place again because of this dish. Maybe some texans like this kind of food, but certainly not for me. Beans and rice: average Atmosphre: casual, and a bit rustic. Not the highlight of the experience. Alcohol: I saw bottled beer. Overall experience: It is a decent restaurant. I gave a generous rating considering my second dish. They are very courteous and professional, just the food is not to my liking. Definitely not a Californian-Mexican restaurant in which i am accustomed, but a pleasant experience none the less. As a nice finisher to my first visit, they gave a delicious and complimentary sopapia(donut) with honey.
