I was excited to have this place open after nearby Spice India closed… I think I liked Spice India’s food/value a little better but they didn’t get to round out the rest of the business(it was basically Indian food out of a bbq place) so Bombay Palace was a more well rounded attempt at Indian in this area. A bit pricey so we didn’t go as much as we should have but we just got a bunch of coupons in the mail and were planning to get some take out but it was suddenly closed! Not sure why this happened twice! Wish we realized they were struggling so much I feel like both places suffered from some very basic execution issues? Hopefully someone will try again in this area…

Sad that this place is closed. The first time we went the food was decent, second time not as many selections, and the third time it was very good except for the random shard of bone in my vegetable dish.

Absolutely the BEST Indian food in DFW! My husband picked up Chicken Korma and Garlic Naan for himself on his way home last night(he worked late and I had already eaten) — it was DELICIOUS! I stole some of his naan just do I could dip it in the Korma sauce. Yum! We will definitely be going back!

UPDATE04÷19÷15: CLOSED. NOOOOOOOOOOO I want to start by thanking Bombay Palace for existing. This spot is my new favorite for Indian food. I’ve been in the DFW area for 2 ½ years and tried many, many Indian restaurants, none of which were exceptional. This place is great. It’s Northern Indian, and when I asked for extra, extra, extra spicy they understood. I had Chicken Korma with Rice and Garlic Naan. All were masterfully crafted in that amazing explosion of Indian flavor bliss that I’ve been missing. I will be back for more… much more.

We had chilly paneer, chicken vindaloo, chicken curry and garlic naan. Everything was amazing and I was so happy to have leftovers for lunch! The host/server was very polite and prompt. All around great experience and I am so excited to have found a new spot to go to.

It’s my understanding that Bombay is under new management. I’ve been going to Bombay for about 1 year now and have always enjoyed the service and the food. Last night my boyfriend and I went for dinner and it was the best I have had yet there. I highly recommend Bombay for authentic food great service and good pricing. Two thumbs way up. Their chicken tikka masala is amazing as is their garlic naan and saag gosht. They also have menu items for those not too sure about eating diverse food.

This place is disgusting. Went for the lunch buffet and the food was all cold and not fresh. The curry and chicken Marsala was all watered down. The service was not that great as well. If you want a good Indian buffet, tandoor is much better fresh with great flavors!

Had dinner on a rainy Sat evening. The food and service were exemplary. Best mutton(goat) biriyani and lentils ever. Our servers were courteous and efficient. The décor is pleasant and the establishment is very clean. The menu is also very diverse, the food authentic and true to taste. I recommend Bombay Palace to anyone who loves Indian food. We will return.

Such a wonderful little restaurant. This was my second time here and the experience was just as enjoyable as the first. Even though I did the buffet on both visits, the staff still takes care of you and waits on you as if you were ordering from the menu. Such hospitality, attention to detail, and most especially their inviting demeanors create such a warm and relaxing atmosphere and makes this a cozy place to eat at. Customer service is key and they really know how it’s done. Not to mention the food is excellent, and this is coming from an indian food newbie. Most people have that expectation that buffet food will always be subpar to ordering fresh, or at least I do, but the modest yet complete selection of dishes they provide are all made really really well. Everything I tried was good, my favorites being the chicken tikka masala, okra, pakora, and rice kheer. I will definitely be coming back soon and can’t wait to bring my family when they come to visit! Thank you bombay, for your commitment to excellent service and for providing fresh food that’s bursting with flavor!

I went here today for the first time for the Lunch buffet. I liked the Chicken Tandori, Curry chicken, garbanza beans, chicken Tikki Masala, cabbage masala, Saag Paneer(although it was cold). Chai tea was very good. $ 11 is a little pricey for lunch. I would preferred to see a little more variety in this lunch buffet. Most of it was chicken. The spinach was cold. Overall most of the food could be a little warmer in my opinion. I also wish they had another option of tea, such as a green tea. they did have a very basic salad, but I believe only one type of salad dressing. For such a small place, it was very annoying that they had two musics playing at the same time. The television was playing music videos at the same time as their regular music was coming in through the overhead speakers.

We went for dinner early Friday evening. I had the chicken tikka masala. It was so good. The naan is the best. Mine was a little crispy which I love. Excellent service with a very friendly staff.

Update: apparently closed. Good riddance. I went here on a Monday evening with a friend, around 8pm. Place was completely dead, but smelled great and the service was wonderful. Friend ordered the chicken vindaloo, I ordered chicken biryani. The vindaloo was about regular size for what I see at most places, and the biryani was enough to feed almost 3 people. Everything tasted great, I ate 1 bite of my friend’s vindaloo, and we both shared quite a bit of the biryani since there was so much. The leftovers for the biryani easily filled a whole takeout container. Fast forward later that night, we BOTH ended up getting sick from food poisoning, symptomatic of salmonella. Fast forward 4 days after it was loaded into the take out container, and I was dumping it down my disposal, the food had obviously settled and the whole bottom of the biryani container was CAKED with oil/grease. I was sick for a week from this place. I will NEVER go there again and I suggest anyone avoid it like the plague.

Everyone that works here is absolutely sweet! The food is wonderful, fresh, and there are many options to choose from. The dal is spot on and so far my favourite! I’ll definitely be returning very soon!

I absolutely love it here! I’ve been craving Indian good Indian food since moving here from a very Indian neighborhood in Chicago two years ago. There is some reviews on here that I don’t understand how they could have gotten lower stars. My experience was delightful! Literally the best Indian food I’ve ever had. A clean restaurant, good service, and not too expensive. I hope they stay in business for a long, long time!

What a great place! Walk in the door and the heavenly scent of Indian food slaps you upside your head letting you know that this is a real deal Indian restaurant. They have a lunch time buffet that is jam packed with tasty vittles like Chicken Korma, Lamb Vindaloo, Curried Goat, Tandoor Chicken(theirs tastes smoky) and several dishes that change on a rotating basis. There is a small salad area with killer homemade pickles(some FIERY hot ones) and fixins. They even have a dessert area on the buffet. The place is SPARKLING clean; the owners are exceedingly friendly and the food has been nothing but great every time we’ve been. So far they haven’t been able to pack in the crowds, but that will change when word gets out as to just how great this neighborhood gem is!

I opened the doors and the amazing smells made my mouth water. I was so excited to have a new place to eat Indian food. We went for the buffet and were looking forward to trying everything! However it was such a let down I thought i was going to cry! My first big let down was that the food was luke warm. The second let down was that the only spicy dishes were the vegetarian dishes. The Naan was brought to our table nice and hot and it was good. The staff was attentive but we were 2 of 6 people in the restaurant between 12 and 1pm. The Tandori Chicken was ok however the pieces of chicken were tiny… a Cornish Hen maybe? Most of the dishes were very soupy which is fine but lacked the spice that Indian Food has. I don’t know, maybe because it’s new it’s getting mixed reviews but I won’t be back until the reviews become consistently good. The restaurant itself is clean and very nice, the staff was attentive and kind. I hope it gets better because I love Indian food and have had it in Europe, England and Ireland and would love to have a great place in Southern Arlington.
