Billy’s Cheesesteaks

Don’t eat here. No quality control here. My husband came home with burned gyro. So burned it was crunchy. Billy’s is off the list.

I’ve been here a few times since my original review, so I’m bumping it up a star. The staff here is über kind and although it’s not the best philly cheesesteak ever… it still serves your purpose when wanting a grease filled sub. The mozzarella sticks are a must. :)

Fortunate enough to be in Arlington again to see Alex, the amazing man behind this delicious food! He always has a big smile and friendly words for his patrons. I had oral surgery yesterday and am miserable, but hungry– so he made me a hardly-​grilled grilled cheese that I could easily chew and it hit the spot. I added some of their many-​spiced, unique and rapturous Billy’s Sauce and my tummy is in heaven. Excellent food + phenomenal service = many, many future returns AND referrals! Enjoy and tell him Meghan sent you! Lol

Very close breakfast spot in Cherrydale. The place is small and quaint but the service is really good. They have a few different cheese steaks that are very good.

Every time I order from Billy’s it is always so delicious. My only gripe is the meat to bread ratio is a little off but I order with extra meat and I usually get the western cheesecake which is pretty amazing. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Enjoy he neighborhood carry out!

Great food but the delivery is slow. Have to wait an hour for less than a mile. Not good.

I ordered from Billy’s last night. I got a buffalo chicken cheesesteak and some waffle fries (Oh my god do I looooove waffle fries!).
Buffalo chicken sammie: So while this was a delicious sandwich, I feel compelled to warn people that it was one of the hottest buffalo sauces. The website doesn’t let you select any sort of ‘mild, medium, hot’ so I assumed it’d be a nice medium… WRONG. Again, as mentioned though, it was delicious! Just be prepared.
Waffle fries? Super good!
Delivery speed? Grubhub said an hour, it took about 35 minutes, so that’s an A+!
I’ll be ordering from this place again!

Decent sandwiches if you eat in the store. Dont bother with delivery though — takes forever. Told me 30 minutes on the phone, then it took 90. Food was cold and soggy. Never again.

I was craving a cheesesteak and decided to check this place out. The cheesesteak was delicious and made to order. The fries were good but I think seasoning would take it to a new level. My only disappointment was the appearance of the restaurant. They need some to renovate it and make it more appealing. A plasma TV showing football games and better signs. The cans of soda were disappointing as well.

Billy’s Cheesesteaks are delicious, I walked in and ordered and before I came back from 7 – 11 next door my sandwich was done. It was delicious, not the best I’ve ever had but very respectable & well priced at $ 7. Other reviews are complaining about delivery times, if able just walk in as it was quick, easy & delicious.

I really wanted to like it… the gentleman at the counter was so nice… but it just wasn’t good. I got the Philly Cheesesteak because of the reviews… just ok.
The roll was soft and fresh, there was a decent amount of steak. There was just something that was off a little bit.
I took a chance on the onion rings. Literally inedible. Not even a little. Seriously, they were so overcooked or not fresh that it was like biting into a stick. There wasn’t any that could be eaten. Wasted of money as I was on the road and couldn’t go back.
Sorry to post this but buyer beware.

Just moved here from philly. As far as the cheesesteak goes, it’s probably about as good as you’ll get around here, yet still a far cry from the real deal. They do have wiz though which is a nice touch

Just attempted to order this place off an app. After 55 minutes they called and told me that I am outside the delivery area. sorry, but no thanks.
I have frequented this establishment when i’m in Arlington, VA and will no longer as I can’t believe the poor customer service.

Authentic Philly cheesesteaks delivered to your door. Plus a ton of other varieties. Fries are the bomb and don’t get soggy on the trip. Order two orders of fries, you’ll thank me.

I went to high school near Philly and this as about close as you can get to a traditional wit wiz. There is another place in Bethesda called south street that I think is a little better. However, I’d definitely come back here.

The classic Philly is authentic. The bread is fluffy with a thin crispy crust. The other sandwiches on the menu look promising. I will definitely order the Arlington next time.

I give it 3 stars.
Stopped by for the Italian Hoagie. It was better than average.

It might have been the overwhelming hunger. It might have been the blistering cold. Or it just might be that I’m Kronos Gyros biggest fan.
Got a gyro to go for dinner and headed back on my way to Bethesda.
Got in the car and the smell was just permeating. So at a traffic light I decided to take a bite …
«Ohhhh this gyros good».
«Cindy I thought you were on a diet»
«LAY OFF MY I’M STARVING!»
So I take one bite at a traffic light, then I take another, then I’m just looking for stop signs — railroad tracks– one way construction traffic… Something!!!
Never the less, without many lengthy stops, I managed to finish this B before I got home.
And that’s why I’m giving Billy’s 5 stars. Plenty of gyro meat, delicious sauce, hearty pita. You succeeded in living up to my expectations of my favorite food.

Consistency seems to be a problem here… it’s convenient since I live a couple miles away and still one of the better in the area but hasn’t filled the void left in my stomach since Philadelphia Cheesesteak closed in Georgetown. Really need to head back up north and get a real one…
Still good and I prefer to get the simple steak with provolone and fried onions. Easy enough to no screw up but I have head other combinations aren’t as good.
