I was very happy with the work Joseph James Construction performed on my chimney. They rebuilt the top portion of the chimney, poured a new cap and tuck-​pointed the rest of the chimney and it looks amazing! Like previous reviews mentioned the crew was very professional and clean. Arthur was very responsive to any emails or calls throughout the process from initial estimate to completion. I would definitely recommend Joseph James Construction.

I hired Joseph James Construction to repair/​rebuild my brick chimney, install a liner and do some additional tuck-​pointing in some problem areas of my home. They were not the cheapest of the 4 bids I received but one of the most complete. In addition to the estimate, they provided references and their insurance bond as part of the package. They were very good about explaining what work they would do and how the damage had occurred.
I took the time to drive around to the addresses and evaluate the work as best I could. I had confidence after reviewing the sites and working with Arthur from Joseph James that we would have successful project.
The repairs took 2 days to complete with two very professional masons who tore down about 12 courses of brick, removed all the old mortar, found matching Chicago Common Brick to replace bad pieces and rebuilt the thing in a day including a new cap. Then the next half a day to grind out and tuck-​point problem areas of the rest of the house and then another half day to install a liner. Everything was broom clean at the end of the day.
We are good to go and it all looks great. Arthur and his team did a great job. It should remain good looking and functioning well for many years.
