I would think being courteous to your customers would carry over into the parking lot as well, but not so, as evidenced by the young girl with dark hair in a ponytail and the Jimmy John’s visor driving a silver Honda Accord just now… she came tearing into the parking lot, slammed on her brakes to avoid hitting me as I was trying to back out of my spot, and then proceeded to throw her hands up in the air and shake her head at me. The nerve I have, trying to pull out of a parking spot as she’s speeding into the lot. Not cool, Jimmy John’s delivery girl. Especially in a parking lot that frequently has children present. I don’t care if you get a sub to someone’s workplace 30 seconds faster. It’s not worth the risk of an accident over a sandwich!

Work nearby and forgot to bring a lunch today. Jimmy John’s delivered a fresh delicious sandwich quickly to me. Easy to order, pay and leave driver tip online. Can’t wait to order from them again!

Seriously hiring a sandwich maker with curly blonde shoulder length hair & not requiring a hair net? O.M.G. Could this be the reason the place was empty? I described him that way so mgt. Knows who I’m talking about. Was worried I’d find a hair on my sandwich. Music in store WAYTOOLOUD. I was craving this sandwich all day. Appetite ruined by the long locks. SOGROSS!

I have downgraded the rating. There have been too many instances where they have not prepared the sandwiches as ordered. Also, they put too much lettuce on their standard sandwiches. I don’t want a lettuce and bread sandwich. At times you can scarcely taste anything else.

Jimmy John’s describes itself as being freakishly fast and for most JJ’s this rings true. I’ve even had sandwiches ready before my credit card finished running. But this JJ’s was slow. Not slow for a regular fast food restaurant but definitely slow for JJ’s. Especially because there was only one other person waiting for a sandwich when the three of us in the group ordered. I thought maybe it was a training day for new employees since even the woman running the cash register did not seem like she knew exactly how to run the thing, but I’m not sure. There were a lot of employees working that day but they just seemed to be lounging around a bit. Which is odd for JJ’s in my opinion. That said, the sandwiches were good and my pickle was cut in quarters just like I requested. So I’d keep going back, but probably not during the lunch rush.

Love the staff here. Always happy to see the regulars. Very fast, as their logo implies, and good food!

Superb Jimmy John’s experience. My cashier, Marissa, greeted me with a smile and was extremely friendly. Dangerous Dave, my span which guru, crafted one of the best subs I have ever laid my salivating mouth on. The place is cleaned well and in a prime location in Downtown Arlington Heights. I will definitely be back– maybe even bring the wife and kids. Make sure to ask for Marissa.

Generally not a fan of Jimmy John’s anyway but today reminded me why and to skip it all together even in a pinch. Roast beef is described as tender and rare. Natch. Tough, dry and brownish, gray. Hold the lettuce and easy mayo. Told them twice. Once when ordering and once to the folks on the assembly line. I got lettuce and easy mayo. Wish I had heavy mayo so the beef could have slid down throat.

Each time I’ve been here, I’m amazed that they are still getting patrons. I guess because, like me, I love jimmy johns and when I’m in AH this is the only option. I usually run down to the rolling meadows one on Golf which is exponentially better. This one seems like it employees only teenagers and no one to manage them. It is literally like a circus. They just need some additional guidance.

I too really like Jimmy Johns as a great chain, but my first and only visit to this location was weak. Mainly just an odd vibe from the teenage staff. Looks like they need some supervision from someone that has a stake in this place. The attitude was that of «I ‘d rather be anywhere but here.» Bread was not as good as well run locations either.

They never get my order right wether it’s delivered or I come into the store. I’ve been at other jimmy johns and gotten great service but this one just doesn’t compare

I like Jimmy John’s but this location isn’t good. But what can you expect when you have four teenagers behind the counter? They screwed up the three sandwiches we ordered. They also talk a lot and swear while customers are in the store.

Usually really like JJ’s even though they stopped serving sprouts on the #6; today though they just couldn’t get my sandwich right. Labeled our food wrong and then wanted to argue when I asked them to fix my sandge. Gah! Just want a good sandge my way… no argie bargie kids!

For my weekly *I-have-a-baby-I-don’t-have-time-to-make-any-food* moments, I turn to this Jimmy John’s. Do I receive the most glorious sandwiches I’ve ever tasted? No, but my Turkey Tom arrives fresh to my door in just 15 – 20 minutes, just the way I ordered it. Plus, online ordering is my new BFF. Viva la Jimmy John’s…I’m sure I’ll see you in a few days!

This is the worst Jimmy Johns I have ever been to. After placing my order in the store(to a girl less than happy to take my order), I waited ten minutes to get two sandwiches. I watched three people doing nothing while I waited, I was not even given a bag, and to top it off the bread was burnt. This is extremely disappointing for Jimmy Johns which is usually an excellent chain.

this is a sad review for me to write because i love jimmy john’s. i’ve been coming to this particular one for about a year, maybe just a couple times a month. my order is kind of obnoxious and they get it wrong maybe only a quarter of the time, but i’ve worked in fast food so i know what it’s like and never complained. but today i had a bad experience with waiting forty minutes for a delivery and then it was missing tomatoes and cheese, which are normal ingredients. so i called back hoping they’d just bring me another one or even just some tomatoes and cheese or just refund my card since my lunch break was mostly used up at this point. i think the reason i was so annoyed is because they answered the phone with«hello?» and then later«what’s up?» i’m more than okay with casual, but can you at least please tell me where i’ve reached? so annoying, though i’m sure some high school kid thinks it’s clever and hip. the other thing is that when i was explaining what had happened, the guy who answered the phone asked me if i had taken a bite out of it. i hadn’t and said so, and he replied«okay good.» i think he was just trying to be funny, but it was really annoying in the context of the whole thing. delivery girl was nice — i felt kind of bad for her since she had to make a second trip, but she was nice about it. i’m usually really forgiving of this kind of thing and will rarely complain about something but the whole experience was just off-putting because it wasn’t just about the sandwich. i’m sure it’s a newer staff than they had when i first started going here. i’m sure jimmy john’s will do fine without me and not miss my business even a little bit, and maybe even be grateful that they don’t have to make my stupid customized sandwich anyway, but i still feel the need to say that i won’t be coming back.

Love this Jimmy John’s on Dunton, always go to this one if I can. Won’t ever go to Subway(Barf). But I hate that I have to pay extra for cheese! What the heck! And the last couple of times my bread was a little hard and kinda burnt. :(

Ya, its a chain. But with a family its awesome, especially in a pinch. Great subs, outstanding service. For whatever reason, there are times my body just screams going to JJ for lunch(or dinner). As all Jimmy’s are the same, probably just give it 4 stars(though some do *seem* to taste better, and this is one of them). But once they messed up our«to go» order. The screw up was they forgot the 50-cent«day old» bread for my daughter to eat. Didn’t realize til I got home. Sure, it was only 50-cents but I still called them. Maybe since it was my daughter’s meal that was missed?!? Figured they’d just credit me. NO!!! They had the delivery guy bring over a plain sub roll in about 5 minutes. Even though I stressed they didn’t have to. He even refused a tip. That’s service.

OK. It’s Jimmy John’s. They all taste the same. Based on service, it’s fast and the associates have yet to mess up my order. Agree with Tom M. on the lackadaisical/on a lot of drugs staff would rather be anywhere else, but they have yet to mess up my order, so 5 stars.

So, I enjoy Jimmy John’s. I even enjoyed a brief stint as a delivery driver when I was in school at the University of Kansas.(Actually, I didn’t enjoy that much at all.) The sandwich-building process is so standardized that my Country Club(No. 11 on French, extra tomatoes, no mayo, add Dijon, thankyouverymuch) tastes exactly the same almost every time. And I like it that way. But when I stopped in at the relatively new Jimmy John’s location in downtown Arlington Heights, I got a little more enjoyment than usual out of the experience. JJ employees are practically trained to make you laugh and cause your head to spin from their speed, but these sultans of sandwich provided a lovely Friday afternoon ego boost as well! Because behind the counter… it was a total sausage fest. When I walked in, I felt like I’d just been marooned on a desert island populated by graduates of an all boys Catholic high school. They were expert multitaskers, making my sandwich perfectly to order as they shamelessly flirted(seriously, are there no 25-year-olds living in AH?). As I walked out the door, one of them yelled, «We’re open EVERYNIGHT until 9!» And it was glorious. Thank you, Jimmys and Johns of Arlington Heights; you absolutely made my day. And my sandwich was goddamn delicious, too.
