K and S Towing and Recovery

It was late on a dark, cool eve when my faithful steed failed me. I had just gotten off the highway and was barely 2 miles from home when she gave an agonizing shriek, her heart went bang, and she went kaput. I was frantic and in the middle of an intersection. I called AAA and they got the K&S truck headed my way. Because my chariot was pretty vulnerable in the middle of a three way stop, I called the cops too.
It’s a testament to K&S and a strike AGAINST the cops that the tow truck came in 20-​ish minutes and the cops still hadn’t come after 40 as I was leaving the scene. The guy had my car headed up the flatbed in 2 minutes after arrival, made sure my mom and I were safe on the side of the road, AND told us what needed repair after hearing the engine for a second. He took the car and dropped it off at my dealership, taking care of the keys and late-​night drop box forms by himself. He was incredibly helpful, patient, nice, funny, and available when I needed him. If only my car (and my boyfriend, for that matter) would be the same.

So, I came home after spending hours at the hospital with my wife. Pulled into the driveway to let her off and then began to back out to get her some dinner. There was this tow truck bringing my neighbor’s car back to roost coming down the road. I was into the street when he came up past me attempting to back up to release the car. My wife yelled to him to back up a bit and let me out. Instead he pulled right behind me, effectively blocking me off and disallowed me to exit my property. When I got out of the car and asked him to move back, he ignored me and began to release the car.
This is not the kind of service that I would ever recommend. I called the home base and complained. I will be posting GEICO, who called the tow for my neighbor to record the type of service they provided.
If I could record a minus of zeros here, I would. This fella was VERY INCONSIDERATE!!!
The company needs to put this fella through some sensitivity training or better yet, let him go.

I was in a rush and ignored my gas light. Well, that left me stuck on the side of the road. I called my insurance company which provides road side assistance and they contacted K&S to come put some gas in my car. K&S wasn’t the first call my insurer made, but I had explained I didn’t have cash with me and K&S was the first one that would accept a credit card. Fortunately, my insurer paid the actual charge and I just had to pay for the two gallons of gas (though at a premium price of $ 6/​gallon). The company operator called me when the two truck was «on site» which I thought was courteous. The gentleman that actually put the gas in and collected the required information was friendly and used «please» and «thank you.» It made an annoyance I caused myself more tolerable. Also, my wait was only around 30 minutes from when they got called. I hope not to need a tow truck or assistance again, but if I do I would use them again.
