Dutchy’s Pizza

I read a bunch of reviews complaining about service. They must have done something. My service was fast polite. Pizza was delivered as ordered. In the rain. And tasted GREAT!

This is some pizza hut bullshit. As a new yorker I am upset to see this place have a higher average rating than other places in town that have far superior pizza. Yo.

Price and pizza is great! I was band from delivery because I tried to get a pizza delivered to a park. They don’t do that because of risk to drivers. I understand but I am a father of children who often play in groups of kids at parks. So my suggestion would be maybe make a list of «safe» numbers that you recognize as responsible parents who can be delivered to at parks! Just a suggestion until then I guess my wife will be ordering delivery. No love lost.

I’ve ordered from this establishment a few times. It’s been getting progressively worse. My most recent visit involved the receipt of a pizza which I will affectionately call, «swamp ass» pizza. First, it was undercooked, hence the name swamp ass. The entire thing was soggy and greasy. It reminded me of cheap lasagna i.e. wet, mushy, too much cheese and cheaply made sausage. I had to cook the pizza again to make it somewhat more appetizing. It didn’t help much. The toppings were poorly proportioned. Too much greasy cheese and sausage. Second, the pizza was supposed to have red sauce per the menu. There was hardly any sauce to speak of.
I’ve also had their wings against my better judgment. Ordering wings from a pizza joint is probably always a bad idea. Dutchy’s wings follow this corollary. The wings were «swamp ass» too as there was no crisp to the wings at all.

Really yummy pizza, I’ve lived in Arcata for a year and a half and haven’t ordered from Dutchy’s yet. I got a cheese pizza with mushrooms and sweet peppers. Definitely one of the better pizza’s in the area. Plus the owner was really friendly, and it’s nice to order from a place where the people who work there like their job.

The service was great and they had friendly, fast delivery. The pizza was a little salty for my personal taste. We did appreciate the think New York style. Garlic bread was delish.

Fantastic pizza. Customer service is amazing. Cant say enough good things about this place. They must pay their staff well, because each and every time they are friendly and go above and beyond. Ive tried allot of pizza in Humboldt county and this place is by far the best. A farmers market pizza? Who does that! Its phenomenal. Not to mention the place is dog friendly. One of the staff doesnt hesitate to give me pal a treat and spoil her. Do yourself a favor and check them out.

Very tasty crust! Even the simple pepperoni is unusually delicious. Only giving it four stars because of the lack of indoor seating. Picnic tables work fine in the summer but aren’t so great in the winter. They do deliver for free to Arcata though, so that helps make up for it.

The pizza is ok. I love the vegan options but it’s definitely not the best pizza. Plus they’ve gotten my order wrong three times v.v. Their food is pretty good though just nothing I’m going to miss after leaving Hsu

I am not a big fan of pizza in general but I am in love with these guys! I dream of their bbq pizza.

Stopped by for lunch to try it out because I was told it’s not bad pizza. The guy working there was extremely rude… It’s just down the street from me so I probably would of made this a place I go to a lot but I definitely will never go back to this place… Pizza wasn’t bad

I wouldn’t know if the pizza is good or not, I called several times and was put on hold for 10 minutes. They answer and say «dutchy’s, please hold,» but never return.

Amazing pizza, awful service. My partner and I called in an order for delivery prior to their posted delivery cut off time, and was told by staff member that they weren’t delivering any more for the evening. I decided to go and pick it up, and when I got there the older gentleman asked me if I knew that they were closing soon, to which I replied no, and apologized for ordering close to their closing time. I asked about their delivery cut off times, to which the staff member replied that they’re not always the same and they sometimes will cut off deliveries earlier (which is what happened that evening). When I went to go pay, I attempted to pay with my boyfriends card, since he was going to be the one paying for the original delivery order. When I presented the card, the guy behind the counter freaked out and threatened to call the cops on me for using someone else’s card. I went and got cash at the ATM, paid for my pizza, and let the guy know that I would not be coming back. He then tried to justify his actions but was still being incredibly rude! Literally the worst customer service I’ve ever had. 5 stars for their pizza, though.

Terribly rude on the phone, as if they’d prefer you not order food from there. Be careful to not say «medium» or «large» in reference to your pizza of choices size, you’ll be corrected and scoffed at. Their pizza sucks too, Paul’s Live From New York is a million times better in every way.

From the hot goat to the bigfoot, best pizza around! I used to eat here when it was blue max and came back years later to find a pizza revolution in the works. Not your normal boring pizza here.

I tried to order a pizza over the phone and the employee that was «helping» me was completely unprofessional and very rude. I hope this is a one time occurrence because I have heard the pizza is very good. To have a reputation tarnished by bad service should not happen.

Drove by this little place many times before I stopped last week. Got 1 slice of specialty to go and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. I am a fan of pizza, all types from all the places in Humboldt county, so I know what I like. Walk up place with a little window to order through, had 2 or 3 guys inside working hard. I can’t wait to go back and try some more, after my cholesterol gets back to normal. HA

We ordered Hot wings, and a half Hawaiian half pepperoni. We loved the wings. The pizza wasn’t our favorite. We didn’t like the crust. The pizza wasn’t cooked all the way. The delivery man was nice, and it great that they have free delivery,

One of the best vegan pizzas I’ve tasted, even the crust was delicious, Friendly staff. reasonably priced.
It’s not a sit-​down place really, but Dutchy’s has two benches in which you can chow down your pie. Most people order and pick-​up.
