I’ve come here for dim sum a few times and it was decent but not great. service wasn’t bad though. as for dinner I remember their peking duck was good once and terrible another time. I do recommend coming here for a big party though that way you can try a lot of different items. restaurant is relatively large with private rooms. parking lot does get packed due LA fitness being next store.

Located in large shopping plaza. Big restaurant. Perfect for our family Chinese New Years lunch. Party of 16 in the center of the main room. They have private rooms but I am not sure if it could accommodate our party size. This place seems to offer a little bit of everything. hot pot, dim sum and traditional banquet prix fixe dishes. Food was good but I did not get to try dim sum on this visit. We had traditional banquet dishes: crab(3 stars) fish(3 stars) steak(4 stars) walnut shrimp(4 stars) lobster noodle(5 stars) duck(3 stars) 1000year old egg and tofu(5stars) Authentic and nice ambience. Service was friendly.

Gave this place few chances, but will not be back! Dim sum was tasteless and cold. Hot pot was over price for the very little meat they give you.

Would give zero stars but that’s not an option. This place sucks ass, customer service is terrible, food quality is terrible(meat is precut and then FROZEN and still frozen when served), food is extremely overpriced. Waiters and waitresses will literally walk past you as you are struggling to work your hot pot. Forget orders easily also. The people here also don’t know how to work their own hot pots or put out the fire that heats the hot pot. Also they dishes are not well washed and you will get served dirty plates. If you would like to basically serve yourself and clean up after yourself, then this is the perfect place for you. I hate this place so much.

It’s really a hit or miss with this place. I usually come here for their peking duck with buns or thier hot pot. The past 3 times that I came here, the buns for the peking duck was either all stuck together and raggedy looking(looks like they were stuck together and then they tried separating it). When you tell the manager he gets you new ones but tells you that they will all look like that’s the duck is usually good with a crispy skin but this time it was too salty. They have a 2 person hot pot deal at $ 38.99 which I think his pretty worth it. It comes with 3 types of homemade noodles and 3 different plates of meat(pork, lamb, and beef), fish balls, and veggies. They have a few different broth bases that you can choose from(tomatoe is my fav). They also have a station that offers a bunch of choices to make your sauce. The reason for the 3 star review isn’t just for the inconsistency of the duck but for thier service. I’ve learned to just ignore thier rudeness and just eat and go. The reason I keep coming back is because they are the closest place for me to get thier peking duck and when I’m craving for thier hotpot with the tomato broth.

Came here a few days ago for a company lunch and we took up the entire left hand side of the restaurant top floor… it was about 6 large round tables with champagne, white wine, and red wine bottles all over each lazy Susan. It was complete madness. The restaurant is really pretty on the inside, it has an elegant feel to it with chandeliers and it isn’t crowded and excessively loud like most Chinese restaurants. The atmosphere is nice, each table is really spacious too. Since we were doing a company lunch, we had dishes ordered for every table. Walking around the restaurant I noticed it was a dimsum spot and they even had individual mini hot pots! Super cool. I was wondering what the circular metal plates on the table were! Turns out you put the mini hot pot into it after you take off the plate/lid. I would definitely want to come back and try this. As for our food, we had a variety of dishes but it’s like most typical Chinese meal. Family style with a lot of dishes. From what I recall we had 1) cold plate with different meats and jellyfish 2) walnut shrimp 3) scallop with vegetables 4) sea cucumber with vegetables 5) lobster 6) steamed fish 7) roasted duck with buns 8) shrimp fried rice We also had a soup but I can recall what kind. The dishes were all relatively good, I would rank them between 3 – 4 stars each. None of them were super spectacular, they just tasted like every other family style Chinese restaurant. Certain things to note: –The fried rice was a bit bland as was the sea cucumber. Usually sea cucumber has a lot of flavor to its sauce, but this one didn’t. It tasted like it had flavor, but then someone dipped it in water. –The cold dish was delicious! I love cold dish appetizers in Chinese restaurants. The jellyfish is really good, it looks like konjac jelly but then there’s a crunch to it. The flavor is on point as well. The chicken and char siu(barbecue pork) were yummy too. The service was great considering how many people we had and how much madness they had to deal with. They were very patient and professional. We got served hot red bean soup and fruit plates at the end! Overall, it’s a good Chinese restaurant. Some dishes are better than others, but if you ever want a traditional Chinese lunch/dinner, this place has got it.

I’m really surprised how much I liked this place! I shared a Combination #2 Shabu with the mother-in-law. My husband had the stir-fried chicken noodle. My husband said his chow mein was not very good, but I really liked my hot pot. COMBINATION #2 — WHATYOUGET: + two proteins(beef and pork) + two soup bases in two pots(chicken + mushroom broth) + veggies(lettuce, bokchoy, mushrooms, carrots, pumpkin, tofu…) + assorted noodles(3 – 4 noodles) + sauce bar I love shabu, and this place didn’t disappoint. The noodles cooked fast, meat was delicious, and I liked the variety at the sauce bar. I just didn’t like the price, which was $ 40 for two people. But its a great place to go to if your party does and doesn’t want shabu. Next time, I’ll try the dim sum.

Came for dim sum a couple weeks ago and first thought as I walked through the door was wow. This place is gorgeous. The décor is very modern. There is a beautiful chandelier and stairway. Only problem was there was barely anybody there. That to me was a bad sign. After tasting the food, I realized why. It was salty, salty, salty. My husband liked the chicken feet however that isn’t my thing. I really wanted to like this place as it would be a very pretty venue for a party however I could not get over the food. No one in my family liked the food. We will not be returning.

If you’re looking for a slightly healthier place for dim sum then you’ve found it. Most places I go to are drenched in oil or extremely salty. This place is different. Although it’s got the characteristic dim sum flavor, it’s not overly salty or extremely greasy like most places. The décor is very upscale and fancy, their staff respond pretty quickly to requests and overall a good dining experience. I’d recommend it to a friend if they were looking for dim sum in Arcadia. It isn’t cheap though…

Came here on a chilled Sunday, and it was cool catching up with John L. and Isobel L., while trying out the dim sum here. We ate here around 950am, and it was nice and quiet. It started getting busier around 1130am(that’s when Asian actually really wake up to eat, lol!) My Savory Favorites: Shui mais(meat dumplings); Haw gow(shrimp dumplings); Beef tripe; Steamed Pork In Crystallize Wrapper; and Flour rolled shrimp. These are oldies, but definitely goodies. I wanted the bean curd skin wrapped with meat, but didn’t see it on there :( My Dessert Favorites: Custard Bun: smaller than normal Custard Bun, but I absolutely love the creamy custard inside, yay! I also digged the egg tarts; BBQ pork bun and sesame seed balls. My Least Savory Favorites: Crispy Taro Bun(way too mushy) and Spare Ribs(kinda chewy) This place is sheet ordered, and so there’s no push carts here. Which is kinda bumming, especially if you don’t remember a certain dish in Chinese, and so you can’t just pick and point. Also, I do wish they would add more pictures to their order sheet. Overall, dim sum here is very chilled. The food does take a bit to come out since it’s not piping hot on the carts. Though service is very nice and attentive. The décor here is decorated nicely and elegant. I would come back to try out their lunch and dinner times. At least it was cool to try out their dim sum.(Thanks, John, once again! :)

Came here for dinner for my brother’s birthday on a weeknight. Though it wasn’t full, I say the service was great. Non-stop help from the managers/waiters/waitresses. Food came out quick also and price wise, wasn’t too expensive. This is like your typical restaurant. Quieter than most around the SGV but looks nicer and cleaner. Lighting a bit dim but bright enough. Seems like most though speak Mandarin but some do speak Cantonese. From your sampler dish with duck and others to peking duck wraps and chicken, the taste compared to others is on par and a bit better. Wouldn’t mind coming back here again for dinner and seems like I will need to try their dim sum.

Came to dim-sum here for the first time on Labor Day weekend! Craving some shu mai and custard buns! The restaurant is in the square with Burlington and LA fitness. It’s a large restaurant with ample seating. We had a bit of a wait(15 min for 4 people). The dim sum here is different because there are no push carts. They simply give you a menu and you mark off which items you want. Makes the experience a lot less stressful when you don’t have to hunt down each cart that passes to search for the items you want. The service is a bit slow, but the food was pretty good. The only thing I don’t recommend is the pan fried taro cake. The taro cake was cold. My favorite was the baked buns with custard. Absolutely amazing! Egg tarts were also fabulous. Everything tasted fresh too. I could definitely do without the push carts for dim sum after this experience! Dim sum lasts until 3PM. I definitely recommend this place to satisfy your dim sum craving!

Came here at 2pm for some dim sum and since it’s made to order rather than pushing carts kind of place, my boyfriend and I decided to try it out. Usually we don’t get dim sum after 1 but this place looked fancy and nice once you enter the front door. I guess I was feeling fancy at the moment. This place had matching decors from chandeliers to the table and soft, comfy chairs. There’s a table where you get all your sauces like soy sauce, chili oil, sesame oil, sa cha sauce, green onions, etc. We ordered usual dim sum dishes like BBQ pork rice noodle, spare ribs, shrimp dumplings, turnip cake, steamed BBQ pork buns, shui Mai, and egg tarts. Everything tasted good but not worth the price. It was $ 3.38 for 4 small egg tarts. The dishes range from $ 1.98-$ 5+ depending on which dim sum set you choose from(A-D). Eggs tarts– Delicious! I love egg tarts and these had a crispy and flaky crust. BBQ pork rice noodle– had good amount of meat stuffings in the rice noodle more than other places offer Spare rib– these had less fat, more meat, less bones but missing those orange pumpkin pieces I like with the spare ribs The service was good, servers were nice. There were only a few tables occupied so it wast so hard to flag down someone for some service. Overall this place was alright, pretty overpriced but it is in Arcadia.

This newly established seafood Restaurant in Arcadia has patrons dazzled by its grand interior. Nonetheless the quality of the food and taste does not match the atmosphere. Came here for dimsum and was highly disappointed by the confusing delivery of half cart order and half paper menu order. Service is okay, nothing too impressionable but the food was extremely salty. Restroom is also located very inconveniently downstairs and in an awkward corner. There are better dimsum houses!

Overall this place for Chinese seafood is pretty decent given the cost for DINNER. Their best dish is probably their Peking duck as their duck skin and meat is very crispy. The service is pretty good with frequent clean dish switches and attentive waiters.

I would give this place more like 3.5 stars! Came here at 11am on a Tuesday afternoon with my mama. It wasn’t packed when we got there but when it started to hit 12 – 1230 the place was getting busier and busier. There was no line the whole time we were there though. This place is huge! It looks really nice and elegant inside. Their booth tables are luxurious looking and super comfortable. The booths are usually for hotpot but I saw some dim sum eating people using it too. They also have a downstairs with private rooms. Me and my mom sat in the booths to eat hotpot and we also got to order dim sum at the same time! So cool! I’m always craving hotpot, so the fact that they serve hotpot, dimsum, special lunch, and food from their regular menu means they have a lot of variety and we can have the best of all worlds! They have a sauce bar in the middle of the restaurant. They have a lot of selections, to name a few: satay, soy sauce, sesame oil, green onions, garlic, cilantro, sesame sauce, peanut sauce, chili oil(I highly recommend the chili oil, it’s amazing! It has a lot of flavor and it’s really spicy as well) They don’t charge extra for soup base, that’s a plus! Me and my mom both got the mushroom soup which we thought was yummy. Put some chili oil in there for better taste and if you like spicy. There are 3 choices for hotpot and they all depend on which kind of meat you want: 1. The cheapest one is $ 14.99, you can choose from pork or prime beef or New Zealand lamb.(6 slices) 2. Second one is $ 16.99 which is the angus beef.(6 slices) 3. Third one is $ 17.99 which is the seafood combo. The hotpot itself already comes with a plate of the following items: crown daisy, Napa cabbage, pumpkin, corn, carrots, fish tofu, beef balls, fish dumplings, enoki mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, lotus root and glass noodles. You can order extra dishes on the side as an a la carte, but the plate of stuff they give you is already a lot in my opinion. Service isn’t that good, it’s really hard to get someone’s attention, I think they need more workers for such a big place. They’re kind of shady with food, here’s why. 1. When I looked at the plate of veggies from my hotpot, I noticed they didn’t give us enoki… And I love enoki, so I asked them why it wasn’t there. The manager came and said they didnt have anymore so she gave us another plate of different mushrooms. Kind of made me upset because if I didn’t ask them, then they would have never given us a substitution for the enoki mushrooms. 2. On the hotpot menu it says that it includes cold dishes and steamed rice. Throughout our whole entire meal they didn’t give us either of those things. We completely forgot to ask them about it until the very end when we were paying for our bill. So yeah it was disappointing that we were suppose to get those things with our meal and they failed to give it to us. Pretty shady in my opinion. I hate it when restaurants do that. It’s not our job to know these things, it’s the workers job to know everything about the menu & what they should give us. Meal cost about $ 50 for both our hotspots, 2 a la carte dishes and 2 dim sum dishes.

ZOOM! Stepped into a transportation device and plopped right into Shanghai. High ceilings, huge chandeliers, everything colored in gold paint. That’s what I remember when I had meals in Shanghai and it’s now in Arcadia. Parking is sufficient since the restaurant shares the plaza parking lot with the other shops. Shouldn’t have a problem finding parking but it does get kind of packed so you may have a bit of a walk. As for the food and service, it was pretty average. There are a few unique dishes I supposed but for the most part, the food average and NOT what you would find in Shanghai. WARNING: Be sure to ask for water OR better yet, ask them to go easy on the salt. Pretty much everything was salty. Get your Chapstick on deck. Sorry for forgetting the names but: There is a Chicken dish that is unique where they take the skin of the chicken and crisp it up and place it over pieces of shrimp paste and assembled into a shape of a chicken. Comes with sweet and sour dipping sauce. Soup of the day was watercress with gizzards and pork bones. Felt as if they were cooking it all day as the flavor was rich. A pot is enough for 6 bowls or so. As for the service, there seems to be ample servers around but never there when you need them. They are either tucked away in the back or looking down as they walk as if you are Medusa and looking at you will cause them to turn into stone. Takes forever to flag anyone down. From getting the teapot refilled to even getting the check. Maybe we came for the wrong meal since it is mainly a hot pot place but that doesn’t excuse the excessive use of salt and the service… Not worth the price.

First & last time here. Initially came here for dim sum but seeing how there were hardly any dim sum selection in the carts. I ended up just ordering a dish from their lunch special menu. The 4 dim sum dishes I did order were lukewarm & they all tasted below average. I ordered a fried pork chop with pepper salt $ 7.99( ), luckily they didn’t fail with this dish because I actually enjoyed it(+1 star for them). For their lunch special, it comes with rice, soup & a side dish that I never got. I also ordered their milk tea $ 2.95( ) which happened to be BOGO. It took them forever to bring this out. my main dish came out before my drinks. I wasn’t expecting much for the milk tea but I wasn’t expecting all milk powder with no tea. I couldn’t even drink half of it & that hardly happens to me because I love milk tea. They could also work on their customer service. I was in the middle of ordering & the waitress just walked away so I had to flag her down again to finish my order. Rude! I don’t even understand why that happened considering the place wasn’t even busy.

I never thought I’d see the day where I would have bad dim sum. I’ve eaten mediocre dim sum before, but never have I experienced unsavory shu mai. Spring Bamboo Seafood House is a relatively new restaurant and their dim sum service is even newer. Although Arcadia now has the fortune of 3 dim sum restaurants within close vicinity, 2 of them are always packed. That’s why my family and I found ourselves at the 3rd option. Most of the dishes offered here did not live up to the standard of typical dim sum restaurants. The shu mai had an overly fishy aftertaste, I’m guessing, from the fish eggs that perhaps weren’t so fresh. And the egg tart looked like a 5 year old’s first time egg tart baking project. It was almost as if someone had used store-bought pie crust and poured the egg custard into a mold. Do not want. And the weirdest part about the restaurant was their steaming contraption situated towards the front of the restaurant right next to the seating area. I’m not exactly sure what was the purpose of this machine, but it seemed like the waiters would place the containers of steamed food there to keep warm. And they would pick them up to bring to tables. In my opinion, it’s kind of tacky to have that out in the open. How long has some of those food items been sitting there? Why are there both closed steam containers and random lids lying around? Everything looks pretty chaotic. Get it together, please. The 626 has very high standards for dim sum and this restaurant’s dim sum service can’t possibly survive with its disappointing food and disorganization.
