I will never ever ever visit this Souplantation location again. It has honestly been over 10 years since I have been to a Souplantation, but this one in particular is terrible. After a long morning sledding, we traveled back to our neighborhood and had planned on stopping at In N Out, but I had a health nut in the car who has done a fantastic job with his weight loss, and suggested we get something a bit healthier. The closest thing was Souplantation. It was 230pm on a Saturday afternoon. We made it ¾ way through the salad bar when we came to an immediate halt. The kind server who worked behind the counter asked me for my payment under the spit guard for the salad bar. I was truly confused, since the cash register is quite aways away from where we stood. She gave me my change and we just stood there behind approx 10 other patrons, as well as the patrons on the other side of the bar. When I got her attention, I asked her what we were waiting for… was it soup? bread? pasta… «no m’am, you’re in line for a table». WHAT? Please note that I am with two very hungry growing teenage boys… who proceeded to eat their entire meal while standing at the salad bar. I just couldn’t do it. I had to wait to be seated. It took over 20min for us to get a spot. By this time, the boys had their meal and soft serve ice cream and just stared at me while I ate my salad. The food was fine. The space does not accommodate that many people. The restaurant looks large from the outside, but the seating just doesn’t cut it. The patron next to me said that the wait is actually shorter than normal! HA. For a mediocre salad, I will be heading to a nice sit down restaurant so that we can all enjoy our meal together. Not a fan.

I came here for my first time ever because I heard about this place a lot. The staff was extremely kind from the cashier to the people who pick up dishes. It was really clean. I was really impressed and will be back soon. Food was delicious! I will be back soon. This kind worker gave me and my boyfriend free cookies because it was our first time! Awesome!

Man, I love this place. The only thing that’d make it more perfect is if it had meat add-ins. It’s all veggies. Amazing sides like Mac n cheese, flavorful breads, nice soups, fruit, and ice cream. All included in $ 11. If you go back for 2nds and 3rds, you get a whole week’s worth of fiber here, or more! A little TMI, but you’ll feel very«cleansed» afterwards. Lol. A word of caution: people with very sensitive stomachs can react badly to the raw vegetables. Since you’re eating so many raw(and cold) things in such great quantity, bathroom«difficulties» can happen… It’s a little tiny bit over my budget for a frequent thing(although, I’m on the very thrifty side), but I’d go here on special occasions, to treat myself — without going broke. Or gaining 600 lbs.

Love this place! I’ve been coming here since I was in middle school lol. Came here with the family on a Sunday around 11am. I haven’t been here in a while but I am glad to see that they have made some changes and additions to their salad bar. Also, since we came at 11am and breakfast ends at 12… we got to eat breakfast AND lunch! So that was pretty cool. Breakfast — the waffle, french toast, scrambled eggs and potatoes were all pretty average Lunch — wonton salad(no longer has chicken in it — BOO!), tuna taragon(my FAVORITE), corn bread was delicious as always and has little kernels of corn in it, the blueberry muffin is still a classic with the muffin top being the best part and of course the strawberry lemonade is SOGOOD!!! It costs $ 11 per person.

I don’t come here often but Always a good place for lunch or dinner. Food is pretty decent and lots of choices. Soups, Salads, Pizza, Drinks, & Desserts. I googled a coupon for lunch and they staff was happy to accept it, my meal including my beverage was under $ 10… What a DEAL! It gets very crowded on weekends but the wait is not long at all, the stuff is great and keeps the flow going. Give it a try.

Stayed in Arcadia for one night and chose this restaurant because was close to my hotel. I had never been to a Soup Plantation before. I was not greeted and had to figure out how to navigate the place with some poor signage. The salad pickings were very slim, lots of empty bowls. I got seated at a table right by an exit and the door opened at least 10 times while I was sitting there. My napkin stuck to the sticky table. The chicken soup was broth, no chicken. To top it all off, I was given a senior discount at the end of a long work day. I am several years from senior status. Ugh. They got two stars… one for choices & another for the broccoli salad, the only thing good on my plate!

Came in with one of my gf for lunch. Lunch was 9.99/person…however, we had coupon 2 for $ 22 lunch combo deal(which included 2 beverages). Upon arrival, we were bit confused. I haven’t been here in years, so we went straight to the cash register thinking we had to pay first before we get started on grabbing a tray. A guy from the back named Robert came out and asked if we needed help(probably because we look lost). He figured it was our first time, so he kindly showed us the different stations: soup, pasta, salad, bread, dessert then pointed out where we start… he was really nice…5 starts for his customer service. This place is like AYCE — SALAD, SOUP, BREADBUFFET… you can create your own salad & theres different variety of premade salad… i love the different selection. The blueberry muffin is SO delicioussss. And i love cornbread with actual corns in them, here u will find it… and their honey butter is good on any of their bread…:) They have drink station with variety of selection… soda station to other drinks that are non-sugary… i opted for the acai green tea… my friend mixed her acai green tea with lemonade… They have pizza, pasta, soups… i enjoyed the chicken noodle soup a lot. I loved the texture of the noodles. Perfect place to have a nice lunch that won’t put you in a food coma in the middle of the day =)

Honestly I love coming here to eat on the daily. It’s not healthy but it’s good: D I enjoy each meal every time I come here. I love starting off with salad, then soups and desserts. I love how it’s unlimited and you can eat whatever you like without feeling obligated to have to order one certain order. Just get what you want hehe Sometimes I’ll have their pastas like Mac and cheese or spaghetti without meat sauce. I do enjoying my cup of coffee during dessert time. Too many options, I like it. Don’t forget to use their daily coupons to save a buck or two.

If I could lick the bottom of my bowl I would. Man oh man, does this place make me have Goosebumps. I am a big soup kind of gal, and I must say everytime I come in hear I leave very satisfied. Price, cleanliness, and delicious salad and soup bowls. I will say its easy to get full hear, so stay away from the soda. You get more out of the soups when you don’t stock up on empty calories. I suggest you keeping a look out for the smaller bowls. Don’t forget to sign up for their coupons, because there specials are worth the belly. Enjoy!!!

6.99 for a salad to go. Grab a to go tray at the beginning of the line, fill’er up and they give you a lid at the end. 9.99 if you want the entire meal to go, but you’re limited to 1 of each item. I think you might be able to get 2 soups though. Not bad considering that a majority of fast food restaurants will charge you the same for their salads. Here, at least you can pick and choose…and I must admit that I love their Broccoli salad and tuna tarragon. Nothing beats eating there because you can go back as many times for refills, but a good lunch option if you don’t have the time and there’s not a ton of people slowing down the line.

I have been coming to this souplantation for about a decade! Although the quality has gone down, it’s still worth coming to but only if you have a coupon. You can receive coupons by signing up to clubveg. These coupons are sent to your email and are a better deal than just looking online. About $ 2 dollar difference!!! so please save some money and sign up. My favorites are the chicken noodle soup, clam chowder, cheesy pizza bread and blueberry muffins. They have a salad bar as you walk in toward the cashier and seating that you can most definitely go back for seconds but use a new plate(health safety requirement). Soups, pasta, fruits, bread, soft serve! Lots of options for everyone.

I’ve come here multiple times. It’s the same as any other souplantations. They did change their interior and gave the whole restaurant a makeover. The lights are brighter and the plates, bowls and utensils are new! They made it more modern and clean. They have rice, edamame, and wasabi peas now! The salads are usually pretty solid. The chinese chicken salad with wontons has no chicken in it for vegetarians. They usually have you seated right away after the salad bar section. The soups are always fresh, hot and delicious! Perfect for rainy and cold days! They also have takeout. You can pick which size soup you want and fill it up. If you want salad and other bakery goods there is a togo box.

Did they change management? They need to hire a better person in cleaning the dishes. It’s dirty. We go there often but it’s so dirty this time I go

This place has remodeled ! I’ve been coming to this souplantation for more than 10 years and it looks amazing than it’s ever been. Everything looks more rustic, like we’re actually on a farm, but obviously like a sophisticated farm. They changed everything from the chairs, tables, food area, etc. Since I’m a vegetarian this is one of my favorite places to eat since I have so much variety to choose from. I love how they took out the chicken from the Chinese salad! Better for me, prolly sucks for all you meat eaters. Their vegetables & greens look and taste super fresh, clean, and colorful. They even added new things to their salad bar which I love. They also serve cold pastas which I don’t really eat, but they look tasty. Their soups change monthly so you should check online to see which types they’re serving before you go. I love their broccoli cheddar, cream of mushroom, and their Asian ginger soup. They also serve 3 types of hot pasta that sometimes changes. I know they will always have Mac n cheese, but lately they’ve been changing up the other two. I love their breads! It’s always so hot and cheesy when it comes out. Best thing they have for dessert are their blueberry muffins!!! The crust is always so crunchy, I love eating the edges, and it’s always filled with lots of blueberries. I always either get the flavored butter or the soft serve ice cream and dip the blueberry muffin in it. OMG so delicious.

Why is this place so lowly reviewed? This location has been a staple of my childhood and one of my favorite restaurants around. For roughly $ 8 – 12(depending on meal time & if you have a coupon or not), you get a delicious buffet that is fresh and delicious. This place includes a 35 foot salad bar, soup bar, bread bar, dessert area, pizza stations as well as unlimited ice cream. What else can you ask for? If you don’t indulge too much in the sweets, it’s a really healthy meal! Come here and bring the family!

One of my favorite chain restaurants is Souplantation… Throughout my life, this is probably the location I visited the most, having lived in Glendora for a large chunk of my life. Now that I live in Pasadena, I will be going to that location as it’s closer and I prefer it more than the Arcadia location. The good: The bussers never leave your table with dirty dishes for too long. The food is always fresh tasting and delicious. This is the only location that I know has white rice. The bad: It’s usually very crowded. Time to expand! I’ve been caught snacking off my plate while waiting to be seated. Due to the fact that the lines are usually to the door, it makes it awkward when I have to squeeze in between people when I go back for seconds. The Ugly: The parking lot is always at capacity. Having to wait for a spot to eat at a Souplantation, is ridiculous.

I came in here for lunch on a Saturday not knowing that it was a mostly vegetarian buffet. All I knew was that it was crazyyy busy, and there were a lot of old Korean ladies inside who looked like they were having a good time. Good enough for me! I asked one what the dealio was and she gave me the skinny. So I said what the hell why not and gave it a shot. I was a little confused at what I was supposed to do and how I was supposed to line up so I just followed the massive line of people and copied what people in front of me were doing. The food looked fresh and tasty and the stations looked clean, so I ended up piling my plate full of food. They upsell you on the drink when you go to pay but I stuck with good ol water so it was like $ 10. That is hella cheap. A few plates later I was stuffed. I just remember eating lots of rabbit food and carbs and none of the specifics. I wish I could be a little more detailed but I was suffering from a food coma so unfortunately I cannot. Anywhoo, give it a whirl — for $ 10 bucks all you can eat just go in there and stuff your face.

Can I have the coconut muffins recipe please??? These moist, fluffy and chewy coconut muffins are so tasty. I just can’t have enough. Please make these gluten free and dairy free yummy bites available all year round! Besides coming for my absolute favorite coconut muffins, I also come here to get a satisfying and somewhat healthy meal which consists of a variety of tossed salad, veggies and soup. Starting from the salad bar, I love getting the staple Asian Salad with wonton chips and Cesar salad and also trying out the seasonal salad which changes from time to time. I love piling my plate high with the tossed salad, adding a minimal amount of plain veggies and finishing it off with tons of seasoned croutons. I find the pasta salad near the end of the salad line to be too creamy and flavorless. However, the seasonal pasta salad for April– lemon linguine with fresh basil was surprisingly flavorful and tangy. For soups, I usually get the minestrone type of soup which are not as creamy and filling as the chowder. A recent favorite of mine is the Lemon Chicken and Orzo Soup. Tangy and flavorful. The chicken noodle soup is also a great choice if you want something clean and light. By the time I finish the salad and soup, I am usually too full to try any hot pasta and pizza/flatbread. I will however definitely make room to finish the meal with a muffin or two! I I love coming to Souplantation because for about ~$ 10, you can really get a good amount and variety!

This Arcadia Souplantation was probably one of THE most crowded locations I have ever been to. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a Souplantation when the line for the salad bar was going ALL around the restaurant. Crazy … granted, I think my mom and I went for dinner on a Saturday around 6 p.m., but I swear, all the other Asian families in the vicinity were there for dinner as well! Though I didn’t like the crowded feeling – and feeling like I had to rush through my dinner – the quality and selection of food was consistent with all of the other Souplantation locations I have been to. If I ever visit this restaurant again … I’ll just be sure to NOT go on a weekend(or perhaps go super early/late if I do go on a weekend to avoid the crowds). Here are some of my favorites from Souplantation: «Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars»: These are only usually offered for dessert during dinner(takes place of the lava cake) but I absolutely LOVE these chocolate chip cookie bars. They’re best when they’re fresh right out of the oven! They’re usually warm, moist and full of melted chocolate chips … perfect for topping with some vanilla soft serve. «Grilled Cheese Focaccia Dippers»: This is probably one of my favorite seasonal items from Souplantation. It’s basically strips of grilled cheese sandwiches. I love the toasted layer of focaccia cheese and the breadcrumbs that come on each. I can seriously eat five of these strips in one sitting! They’re super cheesy and very flavorful … so addicting! I always make the most of the Souplantation buffet when these dippers are being featured. «Cream of Mushroom Soup»: This is my mom’s and grandma’s favorite soup from this place. They’ve enjoyed other«Cream of Mushroom» varieties before, but they claim the one at Souplantation is the best. I’m not sure why this soup is considered a seasonal flavor, but my mom and grandma always want to go when it’s being featured. «Yankee Clipper Clam Chowder with Bacon»: This is the soup I usually get from the soup bar because I enjoy its texture and taste. It’s not super clammy – which I appreciate – and it includes a sufficient amount of bacon chunks. Plus, I usually add more bacon bits and Cheddar cheese to this soup, since the baked potato bar is conveniently close by. «Macaroni and Cheese»: From time to time, I get the mac and cheese from Souplantation. Though I’ve had better from other restaurants, I have no complaints about this version because it’s super creamy and cheesy … probably one of the creamiest mac and cheeses that I’ve ever had. «Chocolate Brownie Bites»: I always get 1 – 2 of these chocolate brownie bites during my trips to Souplantation. They’re best when they come right out of the oven because they’re warm and super moist! Definitely better when they’re paired with some of that soft serve, but I usually just enjoy them plain. «Cheesy Garlic Focaccia/Quattro Formaggio Focaccia»: I usually get either this focaccia or the«Quattro Formaggio» version, but they’re pretty similar. They’re both very cheesy, which I enjoy. I usually try to get the squares in the middle because they’re more gooey and melted than the crispier outer edges. «Caesar Asiago»: Though I often just get the fresh spinach from the salad bar to make my salad, sometimes I’ll get a little of this Caesar salad because it always tastes fresh. I love how it includes lots of shredded cheese and fresh croutons … and the Caesar dressing isn’t too heavy as well. «Vanilla/Chocolate Soft Serve»: I always end any visit to Souplantation with a trip to the soft serve station. The flavor I get really depends on my mood – sometimes I top off my lava cake/featured dessert with just plain vanilla, or sometimes I opt for the swirl if I want a good blend. But I’m always sure to pour some of those rainbow sprinkles and OREO cookie bits on top of my soft serve! I can never tell how the soft serve is going to be – sometimes, it’s more liquidy than others – but it’s usually solid enough(without melting right away) for me to leisurely enjoy.
