Methodist Hospital Physical Therpy and Rhblttn Ctr

My mother had hip replacement surgery at Methodist Hospital with Dr. Quigley. After two days in recovery, she was moved to this building on the same campus. (The surgery department was amazing and the recovery rooms are beautiful, but this review is about the rehabilitation center.)
While this building is a bit older and slightly rundown; i.e. the paint could use some touching up, TVs are older compared to the main hospital, and equipments got some wear and tear, the facility is still run very well. Every nurse and therapist that has come in to see my mother were very kind and attentive. AJ was one of the first ones to help my mother and he was really great with her and did everything he could to make her as comfortable as possible, checking in on her consistently throughout the night. My family really appreciated that.
Overall, one of the best facilities I’ve ever experienced as a whole hospital. I never had to worry if she was being taken care of. My father decided to stay the night there in her room and they even brought him a recliner chair with pillows and blankets to sleep on. When visiting hours would end, at 9 pm, no one rushed us out or told us to leave, we were able to stay as long as we wanted. I am very grateful to Methodist Hospital and their staff for the absolutely professional way that they worked and assisted our family.
The only reason I did not give five stars is the appearance of the building in comparison to the main hospital. I think the staff would really benefit from an upgrade to their building and I think the patients would benefit as well.
Bottom line: I recommend this place highly. The staff can make or brake a hospital’s reputation and everyone here really seemed to care for their patients. Nothing can make a family feel more at ease for their loved one than knowing that they’re being cared for.
