I have been to this doctor three times. Time one was fine, the initial exam and he recommended PT. After six weeks of PT I came back and the doctor asked how I was feeling and if I noticed any changes, and I said no. After a long discussion he said he was going to recommend me for an MRI. That was at the end of August. End of November comes and I still haven’t received any information about the MRI. After repeated calling to find out why I have been told he hasn’t been able to get in touch with the insurance company. It’s the 21st century, somewhere in three months I assume you can find time to pick up a phone or send an email. I am currently at an appointment and have been in the exam room for an hour and have had my blood pressure taken. I am disappointed, and will be finding a new doctor to take care of my knee.

My wife is seeing Dr. Heinen for a cervical spine related issue. I like his conservative approach, he is not one to jump into risky treatments before exploring the safer options. He’s very outgoing and a good listener. Makes sure you have a good understanding of the treatment before you leave his office.

He’s my sport medicine doctor. Since I didn’t have a recommendation on a doctor I used the time honor tradition of ranking doctors based on where they went to school.(Heinen graduated from USC and Yale). All in all, he’s quick, fast and efficient. I like it.

Dr. Heinen has gone above and beyond in caring for my mother in law. His ortho knowledge is extensive and he has genuine concern for his patients. I highly recommend Dr. Heiden.
