G&K Burgers

I can’t believe that I’ve lived around the corner from this place for 2 and a half years. My husband loves their breakfast burritos. And they have a drive thru! Doesn’t get any more convenient then that for an old school/​diner style meal… Big portions. The owner is very friendly!

I went to G&K burgers for breakfast. Service was good. I ordered the french toast breakfast with a side of hash browns. The french toast was good. The bacon & sausage was pre-​cooked but tasted a little bit better than most of these café’s who pre-​cook their meat. The hash browns were ok too. Considering the options that are around the area, G&K’s is probably my best option. Its not great but its not bad either.

Decent customer service. Really clean restaurant. Food is mediocre. Inconsistent pricing on menus. Don’t think I’ll be returning.

This place is a greasy spoon. It’s a cheap diner specializing in unhealthy cheap diner food. Expecting anything else is just craziness. Now, with that in mind, this is a great greasy spoon!
The price is cheap for what you get. I thought it was average, but then my order came out and there was a big plate of food in front of me compared to the money I just dropped. I got the cheeseburger special, which includes a soda, lots of fries, and a standard burger cooked to order. The dang thing was only six bucks before tax! One of my coworkers ordered the carne asada quesadilla and what came out was the biggest g d quesadilla and tortilla I think I’ve ever seen outside of an eating challenge. It was huge, approaching a foot and a freakin’ half from end to end, and it was bulging with meat and cheese and veggies.
A quick few tips for surviving a greasy spoon (not this one in particular, just greasy spoons in general):
— Order what they’re good at. Think about it. You don’t go to a bar and order the chicken parmesan and you don’t go to a burger restaurant and order the shrimp scampi. Items that rarely get ordered also rarely get stocked because there’s no need, it can just sit in a freezer until you order it. Be smart.
— They’re not healthy. Fried zucchini is about the best you’re going to get. Don’t get mad!
— They’re not gourmet.
— Any greasy spoon in the greater LA area is probably great for sloppy burritos and assorted short order Mexican food.

I ate lunch at G&K Burgers in Arcadia, CA on 9÷28÷2015. It was my 1^st time there. I had a hot dog, a teri-​cheeseburger and a large soda. Even with tax, my bill came to under $ 12.00. The food was good as was the service. Plus, I took photos.

Came here and met the owner, Chris. He is friendly and personable. Got a chance to chat it up with him for awhile. Great guy. Today was the first time coming here even though I have lived around the area for 25 years. And let me tell you, i will definitely be frequenting it more often moving forward. Tried out the chicken melt, which was solid. Great customer service & food all together!

Hot dog — overcooked and rubbery
Fish sandwich — the fish «patty» resembled fish sticks you get from the frozen section of your local grocery store. It tasted like it had freezer burn.
Fries — the only thing we ordered that was edible
Ranch dipping sauce — watered down and tasted nothing like ranch
I’m sure there are other items on the menu worth trying but I wouldn’t visit their drive thru again after having to throw away my entire order after one bite.

They have great food… from the burgers to the breakfast burritos ive been coming here for years and haven’t let me down yet. They whole staff are awesome great place to eat…

Had the wife get a pastrami for me at GK. This sandwhich is awesome! Thin cut lean juicy pastrami. This pastrami is double stuffed. Could feed the whole family there’s so much meat in this sandwhich. G and K, I know you got some bad reviews in the past but you are a winner in my book, and so close to home. Keep up the good work!

If you like a variety of good choices of food, this is the place to go. I have been going here for years and the food and customer service is always great. My favorites are the chicken club sandwich and the chicken melt. I come here a couple times a week and will keep coming back as long as the food stays tasty.

The chicken tacos tasted dry. The carne asada burrito was so so. But, the breakfast burrito was better than the rest of the food we got. Going to try their burgers and breakfast plates a try next time. The guy /​server/​cashier was so so nice. We would come back just to give them business and talk to him. Who knows, if we like the burgers, we may rate them higher next time

My husband and I have been coming here for years! The food is delicious and the staff is nice and helpful. Go to breakfast: veggie omelette! Great food for a great price!!!

Stopped in drive-​thru on the way to the valley, Chris the cashier suggested the Asada burrito and hooked it up with a free extra large drink :) Couldn’t be better! Huge burrito, hooked up to the max and the meat is delicious perfect pieces not too small… Defiantly coming back!

Great burger joint. Had the cheeseburger special meat was lightly salted and had that charbroiled ‘char’ taste that was perfect. Big portion of fries, bottomless drink. Oh and a 99 cent value chicken taco. Good meal. Quick service. Very friendly and attentive cashier. Walked away happy!

Best service and great food at reasonable prices. Everything is good and served by caring happy staff. It’s my favorite go to place for my craving needs. Best pastrami around and check out the breakfast burrito’s huge and tasty salsa with it! Fries are always fresh

Had to update my review from a 4 to 5 star! I had the ham breakfast burrito on my last visit and got the bacon breakfast burrito on my visit today. They are soooo delicious! Customer service here is great! I’ve used the drive thru on both visits. This time I brought Chase (my dog) He went wild because I’m sure he could scent how delicious the place was! The workers gave him a strip of bacon while we waited and he loved it! Thank you again ladies for your kindness!

Like most burger joints around here, this is a Greek owned business, evident by the many framed pics noting the Greek Festival at Santa Anita park and the MLS soccer jersey of a Greek-​American player. Let me tell you something. Those Greeks sure know how to cook a burger! Was it freshly made patty? Nah. But they cooked the hell out of that frozen patty, and they use the good ones too because it wasn’t a shrunken piece of ground beef in between the buns of my bacon cheeseburger. Bacon was okay, but I think they bake it, because it was missing a little crunch.
My pops had the breakfast platter and it was a very big portion. He ate the whole thing himself, but it can definitely be split between two small eaters. You order your food at the counter like any burger place, but what sets them slightly apart is that they take the food to you versus calling out your order and you going to the counter to get it yourself. If you order coffee, they come out to make sure you have more.
What I liked most about this place besides the aforementioned customer service is the fact that it is very clean and it’s very bright because of all the windows.

The cheeseburgers here are really good! Love the thick cut French fries with their ranch dressing. Soooo yummy!
