Barnes & Noble

I was EXTREMELY disgusted with my experience at Barnes and Noble this week. During check out, my 5 year old pointed out a disgusting magazine on the shelf in front of her. I was horrified to see it was Playboy! Who puts this type of magazine at their check out?! And it is important to point out that those shelves are not even at adult eye-​level. Only someone 2 –3 feet tall would be able to see these displays. Real nice at a store that claims to be kid-​friendly… I would have said something to the cashier, but he was less than friendly to begin with so I doubt it would have gone anywhere productive. I an furious and will make sure that I tell my friends with children as well. Nice Job, Barnes and Noble.

We love Barnes and noble! So we were so excited to find one near by when we moved. Well an hr away lol… but I make the drive. Clean, organized, friendly… and Starbucks inside! My kids and I literally get lost for 2hrs+ no problem.

The café staff is always hit or miss. Tonight was a huge miss. There was an older, bigger-​set woman with short, gray-​white hair working in the café around 9:00 pm. I am choosing to describe her with details so that management will recognize who she is and address her poor behavior. She was less than friendly and seemed to be in a bad mood. At first, I was joking with her about my drink of choice but her sour mood made my whole experience so negative that I walked away (with my beverage) in a confused but very upset state & I forgot to order my drink with dairy-​free milk because I was such in a hurry to physically step away from this less-​than-​friendly individual. Then I overheard her interaction with the one other female staff working in the café; she seemed to be ordering her around and was just plain mean. It’s very daunting and unprofessional to hear someone speak like that to another colleague. Please address this individual about her poor treatment of Barnes and Noble customers and her colleagues.

i and my mom Love this barnes&noble!!! They are always very helpfully even if you have a little list of thing you might want, they will look it up!!!
Sometime we get coffee or smoothie they are very good!!!

Sitting by the fire with a Starbucks coffee and a store full of books. What more could anyone need?

this is a huge BN. they have a full service starbucks and tables to sit at so you can drink your latte. they even have british marie claire! i was amazed by the HUGE rows of english-​translated manga here. i guess somehow in the middle of america there is a demand for japanese comic books.
this place is one of the few places that actually stays open until 11pm (besides bars) where you can hang out. i’ve noticed that most places close around 9, which sucks!
so kudos for having japanese manga and british imported magazines!
