This is about the third time I’ve been here ever. Yesterday a group of us decided to go out to eat after being in a pool all day. Waiting for them in this stinky entryway area was not good. Replace the carpet or shampoo it already. The kids who joined us were disappointed they took out the claw and other games. I’ve had bar food in the past and wild rice soup. Tonight I had walleye sandwich and waffle fries with seasoned sour cream. My son had a gyro and brought home the kids meal of chicken fingers. Service was spotty as we were a group of 12. I am just not blown away by their food and prices are high.

Rascal’s has really good food with really large portions. I feel like the location is rather odd, so it’s never super busy, which is nice if you’re looking for a place to eat and not have to wait to be seated. We have also always had very quick and attentive service. I recommend the pasta dishes; I’ve never been disappointed!

Quite honestly shocked that this place popped up in a google search for good burgers. Reviews looked decent and maybe expectations were too high. Landed there later in the night. The hostess asked if we wanted to sit in restaurant or bar. At first we said, «bar» so she hands us our menus and says, «go seat yourselves» kind of strange. We go back and opt for restaurant. Server comes, doesn’t have much to say other than, «can I get you drinks» my wife says water, we order a couple of beers and never do get the water. Food was decent. Although a Walleye plate for $ 22.00 at a bar is a bit much. It was very good though. The server never stopped an asked us how our food was. Never thanked us for coming. And, was just overall a downer. Would have loved to have stayed maybe had another drink, but by the time we checked out a $ 50 tab and left him a $ 4 tip. I hope he can reflect a little bit on customer service. I mean dude, its Friday night, could you stop and think for a moment that a young couple without kids are out to enjoy a night. You did not do that, and we just won’t come back. Now I know why we opt for our favorites that are a bit more of a drive. It really is mostly about customer service. I understand Rascals is a bar, but you should not have bartenders, serving in your restaurant IMO. Keep workin’ Daddy!

The service was great. We were sat on the diner side so we couldn’t order food from the bar menu. I ordered the artichoke dip for an appetizer. It wasn’t my favorite, but it was good. I like more creamy and cheesiness versus more artichoke, that’s just a personal choice. I also ordered the ribs. These were talked up to me and I had high hopes but I didn’t care for the sauce. I like sauce that has a homemade taste to it and I feel as though this was more generic and out of the bottle taste. The meat was good and tender though.

Went to Rascals a week ago. The service was ok. Waitress spilled food on me & didn’t really apologized. She said«did I get you» not a good response! Salad was good but lunch portions are very small! Should tell customers this!

Love this restaurant!!! We’ve been here a few times, food and service has been top notch every time. The hubby highly recommends the steak bites app, gets it every time.

Based on the raving reviews posted, most guests had a somewhat different experience than our group had on Dec 19th. We had over 20 people in our group. We called ahead with our numbers and a pre-determined appetizer service. Considering they had more than two weeks notice, I was expecting more customer service. Place settings were missing silverware and apparently water service in Minnesota is no longer automatic. Our server Sean, seemed overwhelmed with the number of guests. He missed people while taking orders and continuously avoided asking if any additional drinks were needed. I thought sports bars made the bulk of their profits from alcohol? This group included regular drinkers– Sean left a healthy amount of money on the table! My suggestion to Rascal’s, be sure the wait staff is up to the job presented. Maybe a group of ten or more should warrant two people assigned to the group? The food was plentiful and decent enough for a sports bar.

Don’t let the outside deceive you! You may be tempted to drive on by because the first impression from the parking lot is «dingy dive bar», but the complete opposite is what you’ll find inside. These guys have really good food, friendly staff, and the atmosphere was quite pleasant. It’s much larger inside than it appears outside, and once in, it’s clear that this place was designed for family and relaxing after a long day of work. Prices were reasonable, food was delicious, hot, and came out quickly(but not too fast). We will definitely be going back.

Stopped in on a whim for dinner on a Sunday night. I’ve lived in the Apple Valley area for the majority of my life but have only been to rascals once before and it was over 20 years ag… No good reason for not stopping in more often other than that this restaurant was not top of mind. But our experience today was very good… Very good service and the food was very good as well. My husband had the tequila lime shrimp ravioli and I have the bleu burger. Will definitely add this restaurant towards the top of our list going forward.

Been there a few times for food, it’s alright. Nothing stellar. We’ve had flatbread, salad, sandwiches, wings, burgers with fries. The bar area is nice, many TVs, friendly service. We will continue going for cocktails, but likely not plan a trip there for just food.

I’m giving 5 stars based on the chicken wings as this is the only thing I’ve gotten from there. I think in total, I’ve had their wings half a dozen times, and they’re great! Great price and flavor. I wouldn’t say they are the best wings I have ever tired, but they’re in my top 3! Which, I have tried wings all over Minneapolis, and I think these are the best wings in Apple Valley.

I’ve been here numerous times over the years but today I came in on a whim with a girlfriend for the Easter brunch. We didn’t have reservations and I called ahead and she said we could just come in and try to find a seat at the bar, which we did, and got a seat right away! They have AWESOME Sunday deluxe bloodies, but today they did not. I was so disappointed, but the bartender said it was because of the holiday and it would take to long to make them if everyone ordered one, so I got the regular one, and it was fine, nothing special. The brunch was decent– scrambled eggs, prime rib, ham, cheesy hash browns, biscuits and gravy, fruit, shrimp, salmon, the usual stuff. I wished they had eggs benedict, because I am a fiend for those. They also had a table of cookies, mini cheesecakes, and DONUTS and muffins from Denny’s bakery in Bloomington(YUM!) the regular donuts were nothing special, but the banana ones were fantastic. Overall a decent brunch buffet, although they only do it on Easter and Mother’s Day. I’ve been here for breakfast a bunch of times, and it’s solid, especially the cinnamon rolls! Service is fine but nothing spectacular.

I had the happy hour buffalo chicken and southwest sliders. Best bar food I’ve had for $ 6. Only down side is the bar seating.

Great place to stop in for drinks! Good burgers, better Spaghetti and Meatballs… for after hours the bar menu has plenty of selection, and good prices. If they’d only add a pinball machine(or two) I’d stop in there a lot more often.

I decided not to wait for a date with Brian and Alyssa R. for my first encounter. I was way too curious. The fish and chowder are everything they say it is. We had to wait for the second batch of fish, and it came out piping hot. Normally this would rate a 5 star on its own merit. But to parrot Brian, the fries, coleslaw, and tarter sauce were so damned hideous, couldn’t do it. However I would like to try other menu items, like a Greek style shrimp scampi. I had to drive around a couple of times to find a spot, that is typical for Friday, it’s packed.

We go here quite often. The first couple times were hit and miss on what we ordered… we went back and kept trying different things and finally found the amazing food we were looking for. Their wild rice soup is one of my favs as well as my 7 year olds. Salads are always good there and so are the flat breads. We learned to steer clear of the turkey dinner. tastes like a microwave meal. We also went for Easter brunch. it was pretty amazing. I haven’t tried it but have heard people raving around us about the meatloaf. It’s like any other restaurant, they do something’s great and others should be avoided.
