Been here many times and I believe the quality continues to go down. I had the shrimp and honestly I feel like they went to the super market and bought a bag of frozen shrimp. It was a small dish with about 8 small shrimp.
I was very disappointed yes. There are many more and better choices for Mexican food and sorry to say that may have been the last visit to this place.
My wife was also very disappointed as her food was overly salty. We use to love this place but time to move on.

Fine dining pricing without the fine dining! The food was average Mexican fare, in small portions. If it is something I can cook better myself at home in 15 minutes, they definitely shouldn’t be charging what a Michelin Star’d restaurant would charge. My bill for four people was $ 140 after gratuity. This is absurd. The 1970’s era building located in the Apple Valley industrial ghetto doesn’t help.

I love the food but its just too damn expensive… unfortunately will not be back anymore. Too many mexican restaurants that are good and dont charge an arm and a leg to be on the shitty side of town.

Kinda pricey! Dinners should include at least a salad or small soup. Chips were over cooked, More of a local place kinda feel left out when waiting to pay for 15mn at table. Went to pay and people were hugging and socializing like i wasnt there then took my money and had to go back to table. Total bill for 2 with Margarita $ 50 fajitas and crab shrimp enchiladas they weren’t worth $ 19. Fajitas were good at $ 17
Also gave us wrong menu they said it was weekdays menu. When they gave us the weekend menu prices were about $ 2 higher per entrée. Probably will not be back again.

Going back again wed. for the prime rib which is out of this world.
Love mexican food to begin with. This place raises the bar.

I know, I know… It’s the high desert and I shouldn’t expect so much. The fajitas were pretty good, and the cadillac margaritas were good (even if they did take mine away when I ordered the next one, even though I was not done with the first). You will pay for this experience, much more than other HD establishments, and although it is the same price as a restaurant in OC, at least you get to enjoy the tweakers and homeless walking by the window. I suppose the other perks are the high numbers of stray cats in the parking lot (the animal shelter is two blocks away) and the stuffed animal shrine on the south end. I just hope the construction in the pass, keeping us all at home, is over soon, and I can return to my normal stomping grounds.

The service was excellent. A young man who said he has worked her for eight years. He was professional friendly and on top of things. Food was ok. Not great. But ok. Don’t go for lunch. Two of us cost $ 40 for a no frills lunch consisting of a two item combo and a burrito with two sodas. And again… The food was just ok. A lot for a basic Mexican lunch in the HD. Atmosphere was lovely.

Hands down the best steak in the high desert Saturday is steak night ribeye new work strip and porterhouse… Beautiful outdoor area with seating over all blows my mind everytime I come here. Great staff and very clean

Everything was excellent! The server was extremely nice and helpful helping my boyfriend select his dinner and the Cadillac margarita was amazing! Very strong, but not overwhelming.

We came here a few days ago specifically for Gus’s famous margaritas. We don’t go anywhere else when we want a margarita fix. They are outstanding! Gus has me convinced that we need to return for prime rib night… maybe we’ll see.

This is our go to Mexican restaurant! The food is very flavorful and delicious. The Cadillac margaritas are so good! The service is quick and friendly. Andrew is the man! We always leave happy and stuffed!

I came here once about 10 years ago, but didn’t really remember it. My husband and I dined here recently with some friends and the food was great! I prefer quality over quantity, and I thought that the food was delicious. I liked that they offered steamed vegetables as a side option… It’s hard to eat healthy at Mexican restaurants, but I was able to order my chicken, cooked in a delicious sauce, with corn tortillas and veggies as my side. I left feeling content, but not stuffed-​beyond-​comfort. The prices are a little higher than average, but I’d come back for good food.

We visited for the first time on Tuesday for Taco Tuesday. They had a fun taco stand where they made homemade tortillas for your tacos. We really enjoyed the tacos and they were a decent price. Im not sure we would go back on any day but Tuesday though because the rest of the menu seemed pricey for Mexican food.
We also really enjoyed sitting out on the heated patio (although parts of it smelled like cat pee), and the service was really really good!

This place is truly «Simply, the best» as they claim. The Cadillac margaritas are to die for and I can’t even begin to describe the deliciousness of Taco Tuesday… fresh EVERYTHING… Fresh tortillas and meats beyond anything else in the HD. Don’t forget Gus and his amazing hospitality. He is the epidemy of customer service

I was really excited to try this place for the first time, but unfortunately I had a horrible experience. The owner was extremely rude, showing no hospitality towards my party. Do not get the shrimp cocktail, it’s not worth the price. FYI they do not offer separate checks for large parties. They only offer one coupon «per party», even if you sit a different tables. The bill is hand written, not computerized so make sure you have a calculator to double check, especially with large parties.

Went there and our entire family got sick (all different entrees). Will never go again. Really nice folks and friendly atmosphere; but, wouldn’t want to risk it again.
