Prices were good, but the customer service in the store was little to none. With 4 employees in the store and being passed by 2 of them, it wasn’t until 15 mins of looking in one area before anyone asked if we needed anything. After we told the lady that we needed help, she gave us minimum information and left. There was another customer in the store that got more help, seemed like she was an off duty employee with her mother though. That chatted about different topics, most topics not of the store. Horrible customer service. We weren’t even acknowledged at the checkout counter. Just rang up out stuff, we paid, then she said«here’s your receipt!»

3rd time that in the last 3 weeks and so far I have walked out empty handed every time. Looking for baseball stuff and they never have what I need. Simple stuff like Jersey, belts and black socks. Nope not here. it will be awhile before I return. Oh yeah poor customer service too. Several months later tried another time. We bought 2 pair of cleats and wanted to purchase 2 baseball helmets but they were unwilling to help us get the helmets off the top self. They didn’t care when I explained that they could have sold a couple helmets but they just smiled and rang up our cleats. Just really poor customer service.

Been here many many times before it just never occurred to me to Unilocal about it haha I’m so used to just food places retail didn’t really cross my mind. Any who, this store is great and has a good selection of goods, their staff is friendly and always helpful. I do about 90% of my sporting good purchased here especially since I am part of their E-team. You just sign up for emails and they send u exclusive sales and coupons(which to me is worth it). Only down side in my opinion is the tent selection, not very big but they have a couple different styles and brands.

They don’t have a very good gun counter but they do have at least a little something in this part of town. The prices are out of control compared to real gun stores but when you are in a pinch its good to have.

I went to get some new shoes because earlier in the week a sales clerk said they got a new shipment in on Fridays. When I checked earlier in the week they didn’t have my size and the sales person seemed like she didn’t want to check in the back. After I asked she walked in the back and walked right back out. So when I went in on Friday the guy(I wish I knew his name) greeted me, asked if I needed help, told me he thought that was all they had but offered to check in the back, then he offered to check the other store. That was great customer service! I didn’t have to ask him to check the back, he offered. I didn’t ask him to check the other store, he offered. He even offered to order it and told me it’ll be in in a few weeks. That was super nice of him and him alone would make me come back. Very helpful!

place just sucks. employees don’t give a crap, there’s never more than one person in shoes going crazy, yet 4 people at the register, this last time i was literally looking in the case at airsoft pistols and the employee told me «all the guns are hanging on that rack over there!» and proceeded to walk away. Well THANKS for giving me information i didn’t ask for!!! i guess i don’t want to touch, feel and hold a product before i spend money on it. I literally had to break up a 4 person meeting at the registers to get something out of the case. lame. suck. horrible. bad. grumpy.

Good to see the other positive reviews, however, we were just in this store and while it was clean and seemed well organized, the gentleman(?) clerk acted as though he just couldn’t be bothered helping us. We asked where a specific item was, he just pointed and then didn’t even move so we couldn’t get past him. Then asked if there was a bench somewhere that we could sit to try out our item and he said no… we asked if the dressing room had a bench; he said«oh, yeah» and had someone else come over to unlock it. He evidently didn’t want to be there. We’ll take our business elsewhere.

This location is fairly new in the Jess Ranch Marketplace. Nice friendly staff and willing to help you. Store is organize and clean. Parking is a plenty and near by many stores.

Overview: Surprisingly friendly staff in a well organized, clean store. Service: I have never been treated this nicely at a Big 5 store. I was greeted upon entrance and asked if I needed help as I was looking aimlessly around for the tennis section. Tennis section: I needed a new grip, and I had enough to choose from! Parking: Plenty in the private lot up front.

It’s nice to have a sport specialty store in your town when your favorite department store doesn’t have the equipment, apparel, or supplies that only a store like Big 5 Sporting Goods would sell. Advertised sale items are always in stock but costumer service is sometimes hit and miss.

I bought a tennis racket for a great price the other day and had only one small issue, it took 5 minutes to bring the cover for the racket from the stockroom. Not a big deal. Sure beats driving to the Big 5 in Victorville.
