Ulta Salon & Cosmetics

Out of the Ulta Salon’s that I have visited, I definitely thought that this store was the nicest. Unfortunately I did not like the layout of their high-​end beauty items, it was a bit tougher to find what I was looking for.
Overall, great place to pick up your beauty items and the staff members are helpful and nice.

Love this store. At the salon Megan Morales is amazing. She is very detailed orientated and very friendly. She is easy to chat with while getting your hair done. The staff in the actual store is so friendly! Melissa the managers will always be kind and call you mam. Brandon is super helpful and so nice! Love the staff, selection and this store.

My daughter treated me to a hair makeover at Ulta and stylist Stacie turned me from frumpy to fabulous. It’s amazing what a little color and a great cut can do. Thank You so much Stacie you did an AMAZING job!

Living in Apex, the Beaver Creek Commons Ulta location is super convenient for me. I love that Ulta has a range of high end to drugstore beauty and hair products all in one place. I also love their return policy; if you purchase something and you decide you don’t like it or something is wrong with it, you can return it for a full refund, which is amazing for skincare junkies like myself.
This particular Ulta store is pretty disappointing as far as their selection of products. For example, I adore a particular Revlon lip product, and this store doesn’t carry it at all, but I go down the street to Target and they’re fully stocked. I also use a particular «Not Your Mom’s» conditioner that’s pretty hard to find, and while this Ulta carries the brand and even has a place and a price tag on the shelf for the conditioner, it has literally never been in stock when I’ve tried to purchase it there. Pretty annoying. I asked a sales clerk why it’s never there and she just said that it was a popular conditioner so they sell out fast. But wouldn’t they anticipate for that and just order more?
This Ulta location is just okay. It’s a convenient location for me and does have some of the products I use, but if you go here I would definitely suggest calling beforehand to check and see if they have what you’re looking for in stock.

Not sure why the place is getting such bad reviews. They sell so many different products, have coupons and a rewards card that can save you money. Makeup is not cheap especially high end but they sell both types (high and low) and you can save a great deal. When they do BOGO on the large hair products you can really save big. They do have so much stuff it can be over whelming — just be ready to spend some time unless you know exactly what you want. I saved $ 3.50 with a coupon last night plus another $ 20 of rewards points.

I like their selection of Bare Escentuals but I am considering buying it online now. I think on most non-​specialty items (drug store brands) they are way overpriced. Their prices on salon brands and higher end makeup is comparable to other stores. I do not, however, like being harassed while I am browsing in the store. If I tell you once that I am just browsing and that I don’t need help… I don’t need help. Just your average store.

I only shop here to get the clearance items. occasionally you’ll find some items on sale, but in my opinion Ulta is way overpriced! It’s disappointing as an African American woman looking to buy makeup, that a cosmetics store only sells one brand of makeup which has foundation that «kinda» matches my skin tone! If you only need a few color eyeliners, lip gloss, or polish, then you’ll enjoy the .99 cents clearance items, other than that, nothing special.

Save your gas, money and time … their prices are ridiculous. They are having a huge turnover in their salon. Again, prices are very, very high and you don’t get the same service you would at a swank salon. What good are the coupons or points when you cannot even use them on the items or services you want to purchase?!.
