This place has the best pizza in the Triangle. Great NY style, foldable slices, perfect mushrooms, quick delivery.

This place is good. The only place around who does not serve pickle chips like a soggy limp flaccid dong. Way to go on making it crusty-crunchy-ohhhhh.

I’m new to the area and have been going on the LG whirlwind pizza, buffalo wing, and garlic knot tour of Cary and Apex. I’ve found plenty of competent places, but there is still no clear favorite. By the time I am done researching my findings, they may need to retire my stomach like Adam Richman and I’ll have to take on a new wave of disciples. In case people want to look up the interview questions on glassdoor to join my flock, the first one will be, «What’s your favorite spread and why?» I also ran 6 miles last night in what is amounting to a zero sum game. 1,000 calories burned, followed by a chicken parm sandwich in is a net negative. Take Namoli’s for instance. They have the audacity that you can order an 8-inch, 10-inch or 16-inch chicken parm hero. Jared Fogle would blush if he heard that these subs went a full 4 inches beyond Subway’s largest size, although I’ve read that his current interests are a bit more exotic than sandwiches. This is probably the best chicken parm hero I have had in the area, but there is still a lot of work to be done. For starters, there is only a top level of cheese and then simply the chicken and sauce underneath it. A great chicken parm hero, much like a great set of nachos, is layered and there is an anything can happen vibe with each bite, along with a certain swagger or confidence that each bite will be fantastic. The sandwich was handed to me in a to-go container, and any chicken parm expert can attest that once you move the sandwich off the tin-foil it loses some of its luster. There is probably some logic behind this, but I want it to soak in the juices as long as possible. Meanwhile, the garlic knots are huge and dense. I’m not sure what kidney stones feel like, but these balls of dough go down in a way that feels like they occupy an insanely large amount of your stomach and will make you feel uncomfortable the rest of the night. Overall, a pleasant enough experience and I’ll head back to try their pizza and round out the experience.

This place really does serve the best pizza in Apex, BUT… as noted by others, when they get busy their quality suffers… A LOT. I’ve now learned to always check the pizza before leaving the shop. I had friends over, raved about the pizza, placed an order for them, and brought home an abomination. Good crust, well cheesed, and well topped… most of the time.

I’m a food snob, I’ll admit it and let me tell you, this place was the BOMB. I am super picky about my pasta and they made the best Fettuccini Alfredo I have ever had. My mother got the Namolis salad with all sorts of weird stuff on it. And I am gonna quote her, «This is the best salad someone has made for me in YEARS,» and that is saying something. I would highly recommend this place to my friends, my family and even my enemies ahahaha

Tried out Namoli’s on Sunday night for the first time — saw some good reviews on Unilocal so I figured I’d check it out. Ordered a large and a house salad — was ready when I showed up 20 minutes later, per the estimate, which was nice. Now, onto the food — this is pizza in the NY style(big slices, thinner crust but not crispy). They definitely don’t cheap out on the quantity — the L was good for a meal + lunch the next day. The crust wasn’t doughy but had a good even cook — without being charred. The cheese and toppings tasted fresh too. The house salad/balsalmic vinaigrette dressing was another pleasant surprise — definitely seemed fresher than your average pizza joint salad. The veggies were crisp/fresh and it wasn’t just loaded with iceberg lettuce. The dressing was excellent as well. Definitely plan on coming back — the value for the money was there for sure and the folks up front were very nice.

Best calzones around by far. The pizza is on point everytime. The guys who work there are always friendly and I haven’t had a bad meal from the place. I still haven’t tried the pasta yet but I will get to it.

Delicious New York style pizza! The garlic knots and salads are great too. And the staff are all really friendly

The best cannoli we’ve ever had, and the pizza was excellent. The cream filling wasn’t grainy(which is indicative of too much confectioners sugar) and had the chocolate kisses throughout, rather than just on the ends.

Don’t order any pasta from here. I ordered lasagna. I expected a nice thick slab of noodles, sauce and cheese. What I got was mush. It was flat. It had way too much cheese; the lasagna noodles looked like they been crumbled, cooked and thrown in then covered with sauce and an inordinate amount of cheese to hide the evidence. It didn’t even taste good. It was too salty, the garlic knots were too salty, and really, all of the pasta we got looked like mush. The manicotti fell apart when I tried to pick it up and serve it. I wanted some good Italian food, but I am going to bed hungry. This is the second time I’ve been disappointed. I ordered the chicken parmesan the last time, and the taste was terrible. The chicken was tough and hard to eat. It’s time to find a new Italian restaurant. Or heck, I can make it better myself. I took a picture of my food. It really looks like mush.

The word for Namoli’s in inconsistent. When it’s good it’s very good, and when it’s bad it’s not very good at all. Avoid them during the busy times — sure, there is a wait, but what do you expect, but the bad news is that because they are jamming pizzas out of the kitchen the quality suffers — and mostly quality suffers because the toppings are inconsistent the and pies are being pulled maybe 2 – 3 minutes too soon for them to be fully cooked. It’s just disappointing. Now — I have been there on a quiet weekday and had a slice that was less than great — although if you ask them to give it a bit more time in the oven it can fix a lot of the issues. So it’s not just speed that gives them problems, but most of the time the pizzas are very good indeed. So what can I tell you — roll the dice and give it a try. But if you’re traveling from out of town for this pizza destination — well don’t say you weren’t warned…

For starters, I only come on Unilocal for two reasons. To post about amazing food or to post about horrible food. This food was not amazing by far. My family came here for dinner as a last ditch effort for this place to be good. We’ve gone to Namolis before and had a horrible experience but based on the recent reviews we decided to give it one more try. We ordered the family special which was a large pizza, garlic knots and mozzarella sticks we also got some meatballs on the side to try. I don’t even know where to begin. The garlic knots came out first. They were actually good. This is the only positive part of this review. Next came the mozzarella sticks. They were overly crunchy and had no flavor what so ever. They tasted like frozen mozzarella sticks out of the bag. They reminded me of fresh farms mozzarella sticks my mother used to but me as a kid. It wasn’t a pleasurable trip down memory lane. The meatballs that came out we’re flavorless. They had an overlooked texture. Like a well done burger. It was chewy and genuinely made me sad. The pizza came out and looked amazing. Thin but amazing. The cheese had a golden look that signaled the pizza was going to taste amazing… Apparently I misread that signal. The pizza was horrible. It was soggy and overly wet. I went to pick up a slice and all of the cheese slid off. Not the typical hot cheese slide off either. The cheese literally was not melted into the pie. I tried to fold the slice to try and eat what was left of it. Bad idea. The slice flopped over like a flaccid… you get the point. I called over the(presumed) owner and explained the issue. He got overly defensive trying to tell me that’s what happens when you have fresh pizza. I explained to him that I’ve worked in pizzerias before and know that it’s because the dough was too thin and it wasn’t cooked properly. He again argued with me for about thirty seconds before agreeing to make me a new pie. Now, normally in a restaurant setting you fix the persons food«off the line» meaning it comes out as soon as possible. Nope, not Namolis. It took about 40 minutes for my pie to come out. There were people who walked in after I sent back my pie that got their food before us. The new pie eventually came out and and was alright at best. It’ll make good morning after cold pizza. I won’t come back though. This was the last time I’ll ever show my face in Namolis again. Take it from me, if you want pizza, there’s way better places in the Triangle.

Really great pizza and a really great staff running the place. I’ve had pizza here a few times now and it’s really good and fast. I ordered at a prime time on Sat. night and they had the pizza ready to pick up in 20 minutes. I was really impressed from the phone call to walking in how friendly everyone was, I love that. I have previously had delivery from Namoli’s but I’m glad I took the time to stop in so I could check out the place. Take a look in the back and watch the guys flipping that pizza dough, awesome! We saw a photo of some pickle chips and couldn’t resist so they dropped some in the fryer for us when we got there. Yummy really good pickle chips with ranch dressing on the side. The pizza crust is awesome and these are huge slices of pizza. The pizza could have used a little longer cooking time the middle was pretty soggy but it was still really tasty. The homemade cakes they have in the case at the counter looked wonderful, I’ll need to try some on my next visit. If you are looking for a family owned pizza place with great food then Namoli’s is your place. Happy to see all these local spots around Apex it’s great to have options other then chain restaurants.

I have to say, they make really good pizza here. Second best in Apex. Sandwiches never have enough mayo and mustard. Very small, family owned place.

This place advertises as «The best pizza in Apex» and that may be true. We recently tried the pizza, mozzarella sticks, chicken club salad, and cheesecakes. It was all really tasty! The pizza crust gets a «thumbs up» from my boyfriend who is Italian, and knows his way around the kitchen. Should be noted that the salad greens could have been a bit fresher… Lastly, the cheesecake was homemade and dee-lish-ous! I would go back for it alone! Thanks, Namoli’s! We will dine with you again!

Came in here for lunch. New to Apex and trying all the pizza places so we will have a great takeout pizza place. On these reviews I have read about customer service and how friendly everyone was and they were right. They have several lunch specials. 1 slice cheese pizza and a drink for $ 3.99 or add another slice for a dollar more. Each topping is $.50. They also had a loaded one slice up to 5 toppings and a drink for $ 4.99. This is what I ordered. I got ham, grilled chicken, black olives, artichokes and mushrooms. The slice was huge. I like my NY style crust a little thinner and a little more sauce. However my pizza was good and I will be back.

Really nice guy running the place and the pizza is fantastic. Garlic knots, home made cakes, wings, they’re all really good. It has never taken long to get an order. I think their prices are really reasonable for what you get.
