I bought my beloved Breedlove guitar from Locals. The owner was very patient and helpful, encouraging me to try a wide range of guitars before making my final decision. He turned out to be a great «musical matchmaker» though; the first guitar that he suggested for me turned out to be just the right one (though I had to do my «due diligence» by playing lots of others).

Great customer service. I wanted to restring my sons guitar and ship it to hIm in San Francisco. So I left guitar to be restrung and when they finished they packaged it up in a box so I could ship it. It arrived in SF good as new, thanks a bunch.

I love this place. It’s got everything the big-​box music gear locations are missing. What it doesn’t have in size, it more than makes up for with a great selection of what you really need and excellent service. Everyone who works there knows their stuff and they’re happy to work with you to ensure you’ll buy something that will truly make you happy.
If you love guitars, I’d definitely recommend checking these guys out!

I was jagernogged when I walked into this Music Store. They are jammed packed with Guitars, amps, drums, effects boxes, strings, Mandolins, Banjo’s Uke’s and more. Very well organized for all the stuff.
They cater to the beginner to the local professional preforming musician.
I did like a policy they had that the mega stores do not offer. They will set up your guitar when you purchase it from them and will re adjust it for a year free. Usually a set up now a days is $ 50.00 to $ 75.00. So if you have it adjusted a few times a year you are saving a bunch.
Joel (the owner) is very knowledgeable about musical instruments.
You always like to deal with local businesses, they seem to give you the best service.

As a guitarist, I have been to many guitar stores in my year and this is by far my favorite. The selection has grown a lot over the last couple years.
What I love most about Locals is that they aren’t pushy or annoyed at their customers like other chain stores. Their prices are comparable or better than the chain stores. Unlike the chain stores they offer a layaway program.
I love the small and intimate store. They are skilled with their knowledge of setting up, repairing, and ordering parts for guitars. Great store, and I wouldn’t shop anywhere else.
BTW. They are also located right next to a very tasty BBQ place.

I would give this place 5 stars except the selection is small. The people that work there are FANTASTIC! Even though we didn’t end up buying anything for them they helped my husband fix his guitar right then and there.
If you want to talk to some knowledgeable people without feeling like you just walked into a dive bar, this is the place to go.
