Their garlic parmigiano wings are the best!!! Great staff, service is quick. I come here often and have never been disappointed. I give a 100!

Very good wings but not the best. Definitely on the pricey side. $ 1 per wing, for an extra dressing or piece of bread is a little much. Could also use a little more sauce on the wings.

The wings here are so, so delicious and the prices are very reasonable. The only thing you would have to deal with is the dive bar atmosphere. They do have a kids menu as well with lots of options. You have to try this place at least once!

A nice but hidden«Mom and Pop» type restaurant with great staff and good food. Pricing is a little higher, but it’s worth a try. Usually not too crowded, with next to zero wait times. The flavor selection of their wings is larger than most, but smaller than specialty chains, yet with a greater emphasis on detail. Overall, it’s worth a visit.

We love this place. They have amazing wings and good service. They have done some remodeling so its even nicer now. It’s a hidden gem. This is our go-to place for wings. They serve tater tots too. It doesn’t get better than the choice of french fries or tater tots. Its great for families and groups.

DJ is always a great bar tender and fun guy. They were busy and the whole staff was working hard tonight. DJ’s special drinks were a hit for the table. Pretty good bar food. Brittany is always fun, she is about as tall as half a minute and cute as can be. It’s a friendly crew and a lot like«Cheers» We’ll stop in again, so you stop by and say hello also.

Best wings we’ve ever had. Ever. They are crispy on the outside, the spiciness is just perfect. The salad and 6 wings special for 6.99 it’s perfect for lunch. The waitress is friendly and keeps the place served well.

Ever since Not Just Wings in Durham closed, I’ve been searching for Jerk chicken wings similar to theirs. When I saw the reviews for Apex, I thought I’d give them a try. Yikes! Missing was the spice, the heat and most of all, the flavor. This was not Jerk seasoning; in fact it had a sugary taste for some reason. The other half of our wing order was Spicy Garlic. Do not call these«spicy», please! Needless to say, not going back.

I did a take out order here — maybe it’s because I am spoiled and just went to Buffalo, NY a few weeks ago and had the ‘original chicken wings’ — but the sauce here didn’t stay on the wings at all. The size of the wings was okay, but the sauce were greasy and laid at the bottom of the to go box.

Wings r yummy and crispy like I enjoy! We had garlic parmesan which could use more garlic but were good. Hot BBQ was saucy with a nice kick. My favorites was the Thai chili. Sweet and spicy like me! Daughter had boneless wings which were over breaded to me. She had wedge fries which were great. Blue cheese and Ranch tasted like they certainly from a jar which was disappointing. Super fast and friendly service and a fun atmosphere.

Best wings I be had in 12 years! Being from Buffalo I know wings. Crispy outside/tender inside. The perfect wing to me is a 2 bite wing. Love it! Great wings make me so happy. Because it’s simple yet others tend to overcomplicate it.

The food is great and the customer service is even better in this little dive. Ordered Spicy garlic and sweet and spicy Thai chili wings. Both were amazing. They let me sample a couple beers I was unfamiliar with before deciding. We also had our 5 year old with us who is a particular eater. I asked for a tiny order of just fries for him since that’s all he wanted. She said the orders were big so she’d just have them throw a handful in the fryer to him… at no charge. Definitely the best wings I’ve had in the area.

Ordered 16 wings over the phone totaling $ 20. Not a bad price for some really juicy flavorful wings. Disappointed that they didn’t tell me I could get 15 wings for $ 15 felt kinda wronged there.

I’ve been here twice to pick up wings to go. They are great! I like the spicy BBQ wings, very good quality, not too fatty. Quick service when I have gone in, food ready within 5 – 10 mins. I will be going there more often.

If you’re looking for solid wings, this is your place. I always get medium wings and tator tots. I don’t like food super spicy, but I find that the mild wings have barely any spice to them. Go for the medium if you’re looking for just a little kick. And get the tator tots. They are perfect for sopping up some of that extra saucy goodness. Yum.

Saturday lunch 1pm my first time here. Not too many people in here when I walked in but a small crowd soon followed. Big TVs with two of the football games were playing hence there are a few men in here… clearly regulars(Norm!). The restaurant is hard to find tucked in the back corner of the strip shopping center behind the Indian market. Walking in the door I found it to be a bit warm and the air was thick with the smell of mesquite(not my choice in BBQ sauces). I ordered the 10 pc wings with Thai Chili sauce(9.99). I can hear my wings sizzling and they were delivered promptly with celery and blue cheese… and a piece of warm… actually hot… Texas toast topped with cheese. The wings themselves were perfectly crispy and the sauce was delicious. Plenty of meat on the wings too. The Bleu Cheese dressing is clearly bottled so not worth the extra calories. Minus a star here since that’s a huge part of the wings experience. Texas toast… ok… not much of a Texas toast eater. Service was ok but not Southern friendly. Overall I would come back.

Normally when I see small independent«mom and pop» restaurants, I get excited because I have found some delicious food this way. The wings I got and the wings the wife got were certainly on par. They were a little in the small size, but adequate for average hum drum wings. The kicker here is that 10 wings were 9. ish dollars. When I got my check for 37 dollars I had some sticker shock because this is what I pay at Outback for salad, steak, potato and bread and cokes for the wife and me. For 37 dollars. 44 with tip, I got 10 wings for me, 10 for wifey, coke, one beer, half basket fries, and for 6 dollars I got seven fried mushrooms. With average wings I had found myself wishing I had not gambled on Apex Wings for the price. I gave two stars instead of one because the waitress rocked. She was friendly and let us taste 3 beer options in shot glasses to decide which beer to have. I would give it another shot, but the wing price is outrageous.

Let me preface this review by saying I’ve ordered food from here from 919dine a number of times, and it has always come off as average bar food. So I came here for lunch expecting a decent meal, and I guess that’s what I got. Nothing special, nothing worth noting. But at the same time I felt disappointed. The restaurant was nearly empty, but that’s to be expected at 2:00 on a Thursday. The waitress was standoffish and clearly not grateful to have a customer. I walked in the restaurant and there was no one there to greet me. I stood for a solid minute before I asked the waitress if I could have a booth, I was told to sit wherever without any eye contact or a welcome. The wings were average, the garlic parmesan adhered well, and they came out hot. I also had a bud light that was well carbonated and seemed fresh. My meal was finished when I heard«are you gonna need anything else?» in a tone your mama would slap you for. Hospitality is a cornerstone here in the south, as most people know, and I was left feeling that I wasn’t wanted in the restaurant. Want hospitality? Head over to sparks wings and ribs, they know how to do it right.

Wow, one of the worst lunch experiences I’ve had in a long time. Maybe Apex Wings was just having an off-day but there were so many misses I lost track. Yes it’s a dive. Yes I shouldn’t be expecting too much. But even with the bar set pretty low they didn’t make it. And I do like my wings whether you’re talking about BW3 or the AYCE wing night at Napper Tandy’s. Nothing like a wingy-dingy to satiate your craving for meat and sauce. Step into Apex Wings and you’ll notice a well-worn dining room with U-shaped bar, some wood booths and side-room. Mostly dudes here which is no surprise, we grab a booth by the window. Unfortunately the one wait-person is a bit swamped, it takes 10 minutes just to get menus and another 10+ minutes to get our order in. We ask about the AYCE wing lunch special displayed prominently on their website but no, they’re not honoring it. The waitress is a bit harried so she grabs our orders. I do some home-made chips with cheese sauce, 10 wings in garlic parmesan along with a diet coke. And we chat and wait for our food. It takes at least 35 minutes for our food to show up which is a problem for lunch service. The basket of wings looks a bit messy, parmesan cheese scattered on an oil wing sauce. There’s some cheese-bread on top. The chips come with a bowl of cheese whiz and sliced jalapenos. The verdict? Chips were over-fried, I’d prefer the chips at the NC State Fair. Wings were decently sized but also over-fried and a bit dry. Sauce had virtually no garlic or parmesan taste to them. Best part of the meal was probably the texas toast with cheese, sigh. I left four wings in my basket, it just wasn’t worth the calories. And I went without a diet coke refill for about 20 minutes, it was sort of forgotten for a while. Eventually we figure we need to pay up front which takes another 10+ minutes for this meal, ouch. And I end up paying $ 20 before tip. Meal ends up being over $ 24, I figured I’d cut her some slack that she was having a bad day. But what can I say, but $ 24 for that meal was just wrong. Missed on pretty much every aspect of food service. From ambiance, to food, to preparation, flavoring, service and more. Messy, messy, messy. And I wish ‘em luck but Apex Wings, you’ve got lots to fix here. I rarely give out 2-star reviews but you easily earned yours…
