This is one of my favorite hang out spots in Antioch. The food is good and the bartender Kayla is GREAT! Big shout out to Kayla because no matter how crowded it is you are on top of things and always with a smile.

Went to tailgaters last night for the Warriors game with some friends and had a perfect experience. The waitress was very attentive, came to check in on us several times and was very friendly. The boss(Bill) also came to apologize for the last experience that we had and that made me completely happy! I was even given a Tailgaters shirt, which I will wear :) the food was awesome! I had the Asian lettuce wraps, they are to die for! Beer was freezing cold and no complaints came from anyone at my table. Yes they were busy but that didn’t stop them from delivering phenomenal service! Thanks tailgaters!

Bill the owner did contact me after my updated review and was very conscientous. He appears to truly be concerned with what his customers are experiencing and I was greatly pleased that he took the time to contact me. I will update again after my next visit but I envcourage everyone to give Tailgaters a shot, it is a lively atmosphere(be aware that when it is game time, it will be loud) and they have a great selection of beers and good food(as long as the burgers are cooked properly ;)).

The atmosphere is nice, but the food is not very good. I had chicken which was super dry, my husband had a bland burger. The drinks were also watered down, so overall not the worst experience, but I wouldn’t go back.

The staff was friendly, but our server didn’t check up on us very often. I found myself looking around for her more than once when I needed napkins, a to go box, to pay the bill. Only about ¾s of the room was full, so I don’t think it was too busy for the lack of service that was received. I did like that it’s a locally owned version of bww. It was too loud with chatter for me, but that’s just me.

We’ve been here a few times and it was just okay. Stopped there last night for dinner — after taking our order the server brought beverages and ignored us. It took forever to get our food. We ordered an appetizer but they brought it out with the dinners(burger and a salad — nothing complicated). The soup was horrible. Server never came back. We finally had to flag down another server to get go boxes and our check. It’s sad too because this place is so close to our house:(. I miss Schooner’s.

Great beer selection, good service, HORRIBLE food! And Why are the pool tables where they are? Really bad layout. Will not be going back unless for only a draft.

2nd time here for happy hour 4−7pm. The Open seating policy is great if you have a big party, kids, or don’t like to sit at the bar. I’m disappointed by the lack of service when sitting at the bar and I’ve never gotten a full glass of beer… WTH!

No star! It won’t let me post without giving me one star atlest! we went here got first two shots blended with alcohol it was ok. Next three shots we prefer and paid $ 16.00+ dollars. We told we don’t taste any alcohol in them. «her response was that» we were too drunk off that one shot, that’s why we don’t taste any alcohol” wtf really I think can tell what’s different between alcohol and freakn just juice!!!

Server: never introduced herself. Seems like she didn’t want to serve us or be bothered with us. Atmosphere: not packed. Light crowd Service: mediocre. Asked for root beer to drink. Brought it back without ice. Everyone else had ice for their drinks. Said it was because the root beer was on tap. WTF? Who drinks soda without ice? Refill, I had to request ice. Food: lemon pepper wings(still a little pink on inside), not very flavorful. TG burger: my son says he like it. Regular fries ok, not very tasty. Curly fries: my son says they were ok. Asked for to go container — we were given small and everyone else were given large to go containers. First time experiencing this type of service, behavior and food from Tailgators. Not so sure I will be returning in the future.

The best part about this bar and grill is that the bar actually looks like a bar. I’m talking dimly lit, pool tables with low hanging lights advertising beer. It feels like a cool dive bar, and I love it. The only thing missing is a jukebox. They do make up for it though with T. Vs EVERYWHERE. Between the bar and the restaurant, they must have close to thirty T.Vs. I can be way off, but the point being that no matter where you sit, no matter what wall your facing, your coverage of the game will be covered. Our waitress was Nina, and Nina was awesome. She had a great aura around her that could easily cheer up the grumpiest of man. Plus she was fast in taking orders, and doing so with a smile. I ordered the GrandPastrami Burger; because when you have the opportunity to try something that combines two of your greatest food loves, its sacrilege to NOT go ahead and order it. I placed an order for a burger as rare as they would cook it, and sadly I got the complete opposite. However, the flavor on the burger was spot on; and the fact that delicious pastrami corners it on both the top and the bottom really scored points in my book. The drink that paired with my burger was their Snakebite: Guinness over Angry Orchard. I’m not a big fan of Guinness, but this drink was actually pretty tasty. Tailgaters is a pretty decent spot in Antioch to grab a burger and a beer.

Passed by this place on several occasions and always thought about giving it a try. Finally went in on a Sunday afternoon. The place definitely has a sports bar vibe with lots of TV’s strategically placed throughout so that no matter where you sit, you can clearly watch them. I ordered the California burger, which had guacamole, swiss cheese, bacon, tomato, lettuce, onion, and a pickle spear on it. I asked for medium doneness and it was cooked exactly like I wanted. My only complaint is that it could have used a little more seasoning for my taste. The french fries that accompanied my burger were perfectly crispy with just the right amount of salt. I also ordered a Snakebite beer, which was Guinness and angry orchard cider. It was delicious and I would definitely order it again. This is a place I would return to again.

All you can eat wings for $ 12.99? Count me in! It’s only on Mondays after 5PM till closing. You can either choose boneless or with bone. There’s a wide variety of flavors to choose from. I personally like the wasabi ranch, chipotle ranch, parmesan peppercorn, and the lemon pepper! The place wasn’t packed at all and by the time we left around 8PM, still wasn’t that many people. It’s good because it wasn’t that loud and we didn’t have to yell across the table to have a conversation. The waitress was nice and she allowed us to order our next batch once we got our new one, so that it was ready by the time we finished. The reason is because you get 4 pieces a time. She was pretty fast on getting our food to us and also good on refilling our drinks. Definitely recommend coming here on a Monday, especially if you’re team is playing that day! Tons of TV’s around, better than Buffalo Wild Wings or Wing Stop.

Rude rude rude… Came here to watch the fight with friends. Sat outside even though it was cold we were all in sweaters so it was fine. Ordered drinks and food, everything was fine until I decided to walk to the bathroom. Sitting outside I had a beanie and a hood on from my sweater to stay warm as I go to the bathroom I never thought to take my hood off as I mentioned it’s cold. As I return from the restroom a staff member approaches me and basically rudely asked me to not wear my hood inside, as it scares people he said. He seemed angry when he spoke to me. Was rude to my friends when they asked why?? I was just shocked and confused to why this was necessary especially cause it’s cold outside and i spent 2 mins indoors just to use the restroom. We’re paying customers, we come here a lot and this is no way to treat loyal patrons.

Ahh Tailgaters Antioch, this place is a huge hit or miss in my personal experiences here. As to not so much compare this location to it’s Brentwood parent bar, I will start this review off like this… My last time visiting here I vowed to never come here again… But needs of dj music I’m here today eating wings and drinking beer. The reason last time I vowed to never come back was because of a really bad experience which I admit, still had me kinda skeptical about coming here today. The service here was great when they first opened, then it declined seriously, but on this visit today things have seemed to improved, great what a new location manager can do. This location in many ways stand apart from the Brentwood location, this one really screams«Sports Bar» in a kinda. Chili’s or Applebees kinda way vs the Brentwood location which feels still a little more rugged in my opinion, divey which I like about bars I visit, This location is more geared towards family, which isn’t a bad thing at all, but when you wanna drink with the crew and be a little. tipsey and there are children present, it kills vibes kinda. Between this Location and Brentwood they run the same happy hour, beer selection is the same, give or take between the two locations. The wings taste better here in my opinon but takes forever to get, heck any of the happy hour food you get takes forever. Like granted its a public establishment and other people like happy hours too, but being better prepared I think is the difference between a 5 to 10 min wait vs a 15 to 30 min wait. So get here early on gamedays for happy hour if that’s your plan. The service is much, much better than my last experience here at this location. Last time I would of forsure gave them 1 star had I been Unilocaling then. But now I think they’re starting to change my mind a bit. New Bartenders, the one that is catering to me and my posse tonight is easy one the eyes: D and she makes great cocktails and is a certified Guinness pourer if that’s your brew of choice. When it comes to Alcohol and Beer their isn’t a shortage here, one of the best selections in this side of the east bay. But even with that being said, there is still some room for improvement. In conclusion, if you’re in or around the east bay, you want a drink and some wings or other modestly priced foods(during happy hour of course) visit this or even the Brentwood location. If you like it, Unilocal about it. And if you dislike it… Unilocal about it!

The experience you have in this place depends on which server you get. We’ve had Grade-A horrible service here, and have also had great service. The good servers are very attentive. However, they have more bad servers than good, and they can simply ignore you in favor of playing around with the bar patrons. This Tailgaters has three really good aspects that keep me going back: many TVs with all kinds of sports, a great Happy Hour, and most of all… one of the bigger Craft Beer selections in the area. You can go during Happy Hour and make that your meal. Between the wings and the sliders, you can order round after round until 7pm everyday. My advise… go during Happy Hour only! If you get a table don’t expect stellar service(if you get it, it’s a bonus), but if you like sitting at the Bar, you’ll be taken care of with much better service. Bottom line: Great Craft Beer selection and great Happy Hour prices on food.

I rarely ever give 1 stars, but honestly there’s not much more I could give after my experience at Tailgators for the first time. I came to Tailgators on a Thursday night at about 9:30pm with a party of 10. Immediately I found myself unintentionally yelling at the person beside me while trying to have a normal conversation. It was SOOO loud. There was Karaōke, people playing pool, and numerous large screen TV’s playing sports from all over the world. Our party was immediately seated and in 20 minutes WE waved our waiter over to take our order. His response? «I’m going on my break but so and so will take your order.» Ok… we just waited 20 minutes for you to come over to tell us someone else will be taking our order? Whatever… letting that go. The waitress covering takes our order(we decide to order the potato skins and the tri tip sandwich with curly fries) and we wait… and wait… and wait… until almost ANHOUR has passed and I ask to speak to the manager about what the hold up is all about. He proceeds to tell me that they had a party of 30 who ordered before us and they were backed up in the kitchen. He apologizes and says he’ll give us some chips and salsa to hold us over. Excuse me. Couldn’t you have told us sooner? Why seat us and take our orders and not say a peep about being backed up in the kitchen until after an hour? Why send over chips and salsa so late? At this point, naturally the customer(us) would be on the crankier side. Once we placed our order, we didn’t get our food until 11:15pm. When we received the order, we found that the food wasn’t hot and has probably been sitting out. The tri tip sandwich was OK at best and the curly fries were on the cold side. The potato skins weren’t hot as well. You could clearly tell by looking at the cheese on top. It’s dark in there, but not THAT dark. At this point, we just wanted to eat and leave. No point in complaining and waiting another hour for a fresh batch of food. THAT would be ridiculous. So we quickly at and ran as fast as we could. Never again Tailgators. Never again!

I’ve been here a few times before because they are right around he corner from my house. The food is okay, nothing to write home about though. The impressive part is their huge beer selection. Lots of craft brews and domestics, so you have plenty to choose from depending on your preferences. Servers were nice, but overall experience was still so so. Flash forward to June 6, last weekend, and I decided to stop in for a lunch with my little one after the gym. A tall stocky gentlemen who is either the manager or owner sat us down. He took our drink orders and said a waitress would come get our food orders. Within about 10 minutes and waitress took our orders and then the waiting started. We waited for 55 minutes for our food when all was said and done. During the wait, I asked the waitress for the time we ordered and told her the wait was getting rather ridiculous. She got the initial man and he came out to apologize. He brought us chips and salsa and said they were on the house. Eventually, 55 minutes after we ordered, we got our food. The mini corn dogs that my child got were pretty good. Her fries were, «blah». My boneless wings were horrendous. I could barely get my fork into the first one because they were so hard. Once the fork went in the breaking just collapsed. I thought maybe it was just a bad one but when I tried the others, they were all like that. They were obviously either overlooked or left under the heating lamps too long. They ended up comping everything except the beer. While I appreciate the comping, I’d rather have paid and not have wasted my time. Especially since I couldn’t even eat my meal. I could’ve gone home and made lunch and it would’ve tasted better and I’d have eaten much sooner. I may or may not give it another try. If my experience isn’t better if I decide to try it again, then this place will be off my list and I’ll make sure all my friends know not to go as well.

First time here with my boyfriends car crew. There was about 14 – 16 of us. Off the bat they seated us in less than 5 minutes. I guess you can say good service. It was at around 5 o’clockish and there wasn’t anyone there, so I’m saying that’s a good time for you to go if you have a huge group like us. First off food, the have a good amount of food – Sandwhiches, Burgers, Wraps, Hotdogs and Starters. It’s like a good place to kick it at and have a few beers. My friend got a grilled Mac and cheese starter, it was a little too plain for me, but DUH! It’s fried. I got the Bbq bacon burger, with your choice of straight/curly fries. To me it’s was pretty good, super big and hard to eat if you have braces(lol). My boyfriend got the chicken tenders with your choice of straight/curly fries. It was good, typical chicken tenders and curly fries which comes with ranch. Btw ordering another side of ranch that’s only like a handful; you have to pay 50 cents extra. WHAT!!? Whatever, you know I’m never buying an extra ranch again. Lol Secondly, the service; they were soo patient and I love services like that. They waited till I made up my mind what to order. Third, the atmosphere. Overall the atmosphere was super chill. They have a bar, 2 pool tables and a huge jumbo jenga set. Obviously, we played on the jenga. Do you know how loud that thing is when it falls. Not once did the people in the bar complain about us being too loud. Everyone watches and it was so cool. Overall good. Will definitely be back!
