I’ve never had a problem with the employees and I feel like I’m always shopping here. Actually, they are always very friendly and helpful. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is there have too many times where they have been out of stock of something or only have 1 when i need 2. I know I have the option to «order» it but I’m one of those impulsive shoppers that want it right then and there or nothing.

Really cool stuff in here, I love all the unique products they carry, and although a bit expensive compared to Cost Plus World Market. It’s still a fun store to look around in!
As for the reviews about the customer service, I didn’t experience any rudeness, and I was dressed very casually. Maybe they hired new employees or the rude ones were having a really good day. I got all the help I needed, and found some really awesome stuff!

Employees are: judgmental, rude and degrading!
Nothing can describe how degrading these employees are. You walk in the store and based on how you are dressed will determine the kind of service you will be receiving. Let me get this straight you work hourly and earn minimum wage and you have the right to judge. My mom shops a lot and she is always dressed very simple but spends like crazy which she deserves. She owns 3 different houses and loves to buy new furniture explains why we stopped by. Based on how she was dressed they tailed us as if we were about to steal something. The looked at us up and down like we didn’t belong there. The manager came out and rudely asked what we were looking for with a disgusted look. I just came out of the gym, she was lucky I had carbs. Completely disgusted by employee attitude.
Learn from your neighbor Cost Plus World Market. They know what great service is all about.

Only one word can describe the customer service at this location: snooty.
You can also use ‘judgmental’ and ‘unhelpful’ as other description substitutes.
I come into this location a lot with my mom who loves what Pier 1 carries. My mom loves a good deal and when they have their sales, there is always a 100% chance we’re there. When I go with my mom who dresses exceptionally nice, we’re greeted with positive smiles and energy and helped immediately. Their customer service was absolutely fantastic and my mom was pleased with everything she got.
I came in here a few weeks ago by myself and with another friend. Mind you, we’re 25 year olds with not the best fashion sense, I mean who can beat the classic jeans and T-​shirt combo? And we weren’t even acknowledged by the employees who were working in the front. Behind us were two older women dressed very well and they were instantly greeted. My friend and I walked around, we were on the mission to find the perfect coffee mug (he was picking his Christmas present out, basically). I had a question about the price, but when I went to track down the employee there was nobody there, finally I found someone and when I clearly and very loudly said, «Excuse me, I need some help», she looked me up and down, scrunched her face and walked away! I was baffled. What? Uh, I need help? You work here, help me?
I walked around the aisle to try and find her, but she had basically disappeared.
We ended up walking out, not getting anything and just feeling completely over the entire experience.
A few days later, I came in the location with my mom to try and prove to her what I meant about the people working there being classist and ageist, and they immediately greeted my mom with a warm, friendly welcome. I came in, barely 20 seconds later and nobody greeted me at all.

The last 2 times I have came in here the younger girls who are working are so rude and very snotty. I asked the cashier about the measurements on a desk and she looked at me like it was SUCH A HUGE inconvenience for her to go and look. Don’t even bother coming here. The girls here need a huge attitude adjustment. World Market knocks this place out, from prices, to selection, as well as great customer service.

If I could give this place negative stars I absolutely would! I had the worst customer service ever in a long time here. When I asked for assistance they treated me like crap and didn’t even bother to stop and wait and sped off to the back room. When I told her I was on a budget she smirked and made me feel belittled. There were 3 women working the closing shift this night and all 3 of them were completely rude. Come on ladies, I thought you had more class than this. You give women a bad name!

This is a hit and miss place for me. I usually come here when I’ve exhausted my favorite spots. Recently I came here in search of a tall vase to fill up a corner in my tastefully sparse home.
After looking at a few hopefuls, THE ONE hit me like a ton of bricks!
Tall…CHECK
Metal…CHECK
Antiqued…CHECK
Fits in with existing décor… LOVE
I snatched it up on the spot but not before I almost destroyed an entire display of blown glassware due to a rogue stem hanging out of said vase. I was mortified, they were laughing and reassuring me that they don’t adhere to the «You break it, you bought it» policy. WHEW!
