After having a different Heating and Air Company show up ask 4 – 5 questions and tell me our repair was not covered under the home warranty, David came out quickly and efficiently did a proper diagnosis of our air conditioner, and fixed it. The night before he came it was 85 degrees upstairs when I went to bed, after David showed up, the AC worked and we all slept comfortably. Thank you David for you professional help to keep us comfortable.

First cold snap in the new house and wouldn’t you know it: the heater went on the fritz. David arrived right on time, was professional and personable. He diagnosed the issue, hunted down the necessary part and came back to install it the same day. The parts house gave him a part that appeared to have been used and instead of taking a chance that it might be faulty, David went back to exchange it, turned around and came back to my house to install it all in the same day. Because of his diligence and knowledge, we were back online, toasty warm in no time. I would recommend David and Diablo Heating again and again.

David assisted us with a RUSH repair through our home warranty company when the first company disappointed(Russell Heating and Air — see other Unilocal reviews). Within 30 minutes of calling, he got our heating unit up and running. Couldn’t be happier with David and Diablo Valley Heating!

Our air conditioning unit went out on a Sunday and Diablo Valley Heating & A/C was contacted by our home warranty company Monday. David called back promptly, but said he couldn’t schedule an appointment to come out to check on the unit until Friday. This was very upsetting, as it was averaging 95 degrees in the house everyday. I contact the home warranty company again, but they would not offer a different contractor(they lost points with me). So we sweltered until Friday. David came to the house and said he had to order a compressor and it would take another week. Oh boy! Yes, we waited an additional week — until the following Friday — to get our air conditioning repaired. Two miserable weeks. I don’t know if this is normal operating procedure for A/C service, as this is the first time I’ve required it. I do know this is the first time I’ve ever had to wait be service through my home warranty company. Normally I receive a contractor call immediately and a contractor visit same or next day. In any case, the unit seems to be working now.

Referred by our Home Warranty Company. We just bought a house and discovered that our central a/c wasn’t working anymore. David called from a blocked phone # to book our appointment. He was rude and made us wait over a week before he came out to our home. He gave himself a big window to show up for the appointment but never bothered to give me a more accurate ETA so I ended up waiting 3 hours before he arrived. He didn’t bother to cover his shoes upon entering our home and seemed like he was in a hurry to get in and get out as fast as he could. He acted as though it was our fault(the homeowner) that the A/C wasn’t working, when in fact we just moved into the place. After snooping around he found something wrong with the unit that voided our warranty! He couldn’t give me an estimate on what the repair would cost and told me he’s too busy to do it anyway! I was told later by another company that he likely didn’t want to deal with our unit because it was an older one and because it wasn’t as profitable for him now that the weather is getting warmer! Very dissapointed.

David came out to our apartment to repair our central AC unit. He helped us schedule an appointment that worked with our schedule, called ahead, showed up during the promised time window, and very courteous. Not only did he perform very thorough and careful work, but he took the time to clearly explain what caused the issue and what the repair entailed. We were quite impressed and now won’t have to live in an East Bay sauna when the summer hits!
