After leaving Delta bowl being treated like crap We decided to go to this place to have drinks for my brother’s birthday and was it a great choice. We had a great time last night! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. We ordered Hennessy and the shots were a very nice size and the bartender was also nice and friendly. I really like the juke box that had a great music selection. I will definitely be back to this place and will recommend. If you are looking to get out on a Friday night this is the place!

We really liked this place but the bartender was horrible no smiles seems like she hated her job and the worst part was is she called last call and 5 min later took our drinks we just paid for I have NEVER had this happened I asked her for my $ back for our last drinks and she said I called last call. U don’t pay for drinks at last call to have them just take them away not a happy girl. And I wish u luck with this girl I am also a bartender and what she did ruins experience for people when they go out.

Easy find! Big screen TVs, awesome service! They have blackjack and poker tables with cheap buy ins — locals are friendly and helpful! Keno and scratchers! They have an awesome Mexican food restaurant next door too that delivers in the bar!

As others have mentioned, this is in a sketchy area. It is a little daunting if you show up late at night and see the group of drunk guys smoking out in front. I was half concerned about whether locking my car is enough. That said, when you get inside, it is a typical dive bar. They have lots of TVs which are tuned to various sporting event, although the sound is down and the music is up. There is a small pool table and a lottery ticket vending machine to round out the ambiance. For cards, they have a blackjack table and 3 poker tables. However, I have never seen more than one table going. You may get a couple on a Friday or Saturday night. I think the weekend tournaments get some action, but I have never come to one. The dealer was talking it up pretty big, but I don’t know if that was because they were good or because he was trying to recruit players. The game is $ 3-$ 6 Limit Holdem with a kill. It is a pretty good mix of tight rocks and people who just piss away money not realizing that there are straight or flush possibilities on the board. I haven’t played it enough to give it a grade, but if you are halfway decent you needn’t be afraid of this game. They have a small bad beat jackpot for aces full of jacks beat, along with high hands four times a day($ 50, I think). The dealers are friendly and the crowd seems nice. It is tough to get in the game if there is much of a list because people don’t leave. If you are looking for something a little more serious, it is probably worth the drive over to Pacheco to go to the California Grand(they also have no limit there). You may still have to wait on the busiest days, but at least they churn through people. However, the Nineteenth Hole would do in a pinch.

I don’t play cards so I can’t comment on the whole poker experience they got going here. Lets be cereal for a moment, the hole is grimy as fuck. There’s usually haggard looking Antioch vets at the bar and assholes waiting to beat the shit out of you for minding your own business. With that said, I have had a good time here before, it’s just few and far between. I usually end up here when I’m already drunk. None of us go to the hole when we’re sober. We either show up in a blacked out state barely remembering stepping foot inside or already plastered arriving only because someone suggested to drink here on a dare. The staff seems cool. I’ve never had a problem with them or had bad service trying to get a drink but there’s simply better options out there if I wanna go out and have some drinks with friends.

I’ve spent a bit of time here playing cards and had very good experiences. The rules are clearly established(and available on the website) and dealing done very, very well. The guy in charge of the room(or co in charge) is a smart, friendly guy really one top of his stuff. The poker room is usually 3 – 6 most nights, but on Mondays does a no limit cash game, 1 – 2 with a 100 dollar buy in. As with all places that have a purpose other than just poker(even with games like Pai Gow or Double Hand) action here is good because you get people that are gambler types or have less experience. Players will actually come here from Kelly’s on Mondays because the game is run so much better. The room also has a large monthly tournament and a monthly freeroll. It’s very crowded on freeroll days with some 50 total players and alternates that hop in when the people lose their stacks early on. It’s a nice little sports bar nearby, like much of Antioch, modest and very down to earth. Drink prices are good, people are easy to talk to. Despite their being a bit of a scene like most bars, it doesn’t have a very exclusive feel. The bar is on the edge of a strip mall with ample parking and near a bus stop(a good idea if you live in Antioch or are staying there and want to drink a lot). I’ve played here many times and it’s always been such a refreshing experience compared to Kelly’s because it’s run perfectly. They also have a M-Th tournament in which I haven’t played, but if other tournaments and games are any indication, it’s probably done very well.

I played Find Another Brown Person when my boyfriend and I walked in and was unsuccessful. A tournament had just started, so we left rather than wait around for a cash game to start. I guess that was a good choice. As we hopped in the Prius, two BIG Caucasian males stopped in front of the main door, folded their arms, and stared us down until we had left the parking lot. One had a long-sleeve tee-shirt under a short-sleeve plaid button-down shirt. Down one arm was the word«WHITE». I don’t want to know what was printed on the other arm…

This was our second stop of the evening on Friday night — I’ve been here several times before and its always just been OK. I really liked the bartender that was working on Friday night. Every other time I’ve been here its been another girl who is pretty snotty and always is wearing flashdance themed off the shoulder tops. This is a good place if you were born and bred in Antioch as it has locals from straight out of high school all the way up to their fathers and their grandfathers. I am not originally from Antioch so I never really jived here. The have a card room here that is pretty popular. The tables are always packed. I mean, the drinks are good — but its just kinda basura blanca to me. And, that, mi amigo, is spoken straight from a white girl. :-)
