Went in October for a consultation with julyea which she gave me a quote for. I told her I had the marine corps ball to go to the day we scheduled to get my hair done which was a month away and was a very important date for me so getting my hair done needed to happen that day. Well, I get an email confirmation 2 days before my appt and I confirmed it. The day of the ball, I get a call from an unprofessional, rude, front desk woman that is named(Karen, karina, etc) 45MINUTESBEFOREMYAPPT and tells me my appt was cancelled and julyea could no longer do my hair, and she could have julyea call me back sometime during the week on her time to reschedule me. Never have I had such an unprofessional experience, so sad because I was looking forward to doing my hair there and thy just lost a customer and any recommendations I would have given. I understand people have personal lives but you plan ahead and never leave a customer hanging without trying to push back their appt or have someone else do it for them.

I wish I would have listened to the reviews, but this place looks so cute that I couldn’t help but try it. And it is very cute — both outside and inside. It’s the work they did on me that was so not cute. I got a haircut and style here and it was rushed and the owner, who was the one cutting my hair, did a terrible job. She didn’t listen to what I wanted and did very little cutting and styling. She mostly talked and blow-dried my hair. I honestly didn’t think the hair cut was done when she finished because it was nothing like I had requested. It was so bad and so poorly done that I had to go to another salon the next week to get the haircut I wanted. Nevertheless, I still paid around $ 70 for the cut. I also would have expected the salon owner to be a little more professional, but she had left the building before I even paid my bill. I would not recommend this salon to anyone and I won’t be going back myself. Sorry…I really wanted to like it.

Wax salon: I have been getting my bikini wax here for over 10 years by Tammy. I feel comfortable with her, she doesn’t charge $ 70 like robert andrews for an «extended wax». It takes less than 15min. Doesn’t hurt that much.(Other salons have messed me up.) Sometimes it can be tough getting an appointment. But that’s because she does a good job and people always come back. She cares about the way it looks and always goes above and beyond for me. I have also gotten my underarms done before vacations. Never had a ingrown hair from regrowth like some horror stories I have hears from other salons. I have never had any other service here but waxing.

This place knows how to treat its clients. I especially love how they are up-to-date on color and new cuts.

I love Jackie! I’ve never been able to find another stylist that listened to exactly what I wanted to do with my hair. Jackie is amazing and was able to make my hair as blonde as I wanted(just about white). Her haircuts look and feel amazing and I felt totally pampered the whole time. She told me that they just switched to a new color line with Keratin in it and I definitely noticed the difference. My hair felt really nice and was really shiny despite going from a dark brunette to very light blonde. She told me that if I didn’t like any part of my service that I could call and she would fix it for free. She even called me two days later to ask how I liked my haircut and color, I’ve never been to a salon that cares so much for their clients!

I would probably give this salon 4⁄5 stars if it weren’t for the price. I signed up through LivingSocial for a $ 149 deal on a Keratin treatment which is normally MUCH more expensive as I have been quoted upper 300’s-$ 400 for the service. Jackie — who recently relocated back to the area after having been a salon owner in one of the Carolinas — did my hair. Jackie seemed very knowledgeable and was very friendly. She did a great job on the Keratin and my cut and seemed to be much quicker than other places I have gotten my hair done.(I have mixed, thick hair.) My only complaint was the price of the cut — $ 65! I’ve gone to salons like Robert Andrew and Alexander’s in Annapolis and Geometrics in B’more who are along the same lines and the cut was not that expensive. (edit — After writing this I peeked around at a couple other sites and saw that some had also gone up to $ 65, but others were around the $ 45-$ 55 which I think is more reasonable. However since I would guess that this salon probably caters to pretentious Annapolitans(no offense intended) it can charge more.)

Got my hair cut here a little over a year ago, after moving to Annapolis from out of state. Hubby made the appointment as a bit of a mother’s day surprise, based on prices and other information he read online. My services were partial highlight, cut and style. I have long blond hair. I don’t recall the name of the very young little blond girl who did my service, nor the name of the slightly older shampoo girl. The service itself was okay. The space was small and in my opinion uncomfortable. My service took place on a converted porch area. What I did not appreciate was that when I went to pay, I informed the red-headed, very pregnant lady at the front desk that I come from an area of the country where it is uncommon for the salons to employee separate shampoo girls, and I was not clear as to how to leave the tip. She provided no guidance to me, and allowed me to tip both stylist and shampoo girl 25% EACH of the price of my services. I left the place having spent an enormous, undeserved amount of money on gratuity, and the girl at the desk did not even bat an eyelash. After leaving, I realized what I had done and felt like such a fool. There is nothing they could do to win me back as a customer, but I would hope the owner sees this and offers an apology.

I feel bad about writing a «bad» review of this salon because the hair stylist was so nice to me. The service wasn’t the problem, it was the products that they use. I think that they had just switched to Alfaparf hair color and it must not like my hair. I think it was probably a combo of her not really being familiar with the product and it being too gentle because she left it on to process my highlights and it didn’t lift enough in certain spots. She then had to go back and use just regular bleach on my hair, which ended up being harsh on my hair. The whole process took about two hours, which sucked, but I do appreciate that she took her time to try to correct my hair. She even made her next appointment wait, so that she could try to do right by me. She also gave me a discount, but I still spent about $ 100. I don’t think I’ll go back, which is a shame because I liked the people and the ambiance.
