I created a Unilocal just to write a review for them haha. There subs are seriously so good, the best I’ve ever had. They’re extremely fresh with all the meats, cheeses, veggies & the bread is homemade and fresh as well. Their subs have so much flavor. And the environment is really cute as well, all Italian style, huge wine wall, tons of homemade cookies and desserts, a nice place to sit, really nice people. I highly highly recommend

What a treat! We shared a very fresh Roman sub and the flavors and textures were perfect. You watch TV from Italy or listen to Italian radio, or get a table overlooking the marketplace(Whole Foods etc.) in this little bistro. We’re on a road trip so picking up a basketful of food was not in the cards. This place would be the ‘go-to’ were I a local. Recommended to us by a local to Lewes, DE at Hopkins Farm Creamery, which I would recommend for dessert(or, do it the way we did and have dessert first)!

Still love Giolitti’s, best caterer in Annapolis too. They do an amazing job and their food is so fresh and good. We love their pasta dishes and eggplant lasagna is fabulous! They sell great products from Italy too. they have an excellent selection of cheeses and wines and do sampling almost every Saturday. My whole family loves the imported Gerardo Dinola pasta and tomatoes they sell and it is the only place in Annapolis to get them. They do really fantastic catering, we love the focaccia bread finger sandwiches and hot pastas. The best thing about Giolitti is the people, it is like a big happy family greeting and hugging patron, walking them out with their bags landholding doors for them. They do nice cooking demos and tastings of what they cook, it’s a great place to visit, eat and shop.

I can’t help but love down home, no-fuss places like this! Is it a deli? Is it a market? Is it a wine store? Is it a bakery? Is it nonna’s kitchen? It’s all of that! Yes! If you’re down for a muffaletta on fresh baked Tuscan bread, or craving for hearty minestrone, or need a pound of just-made ravioli for your dinner party… you’ll find it all here. Giolitti has a regular in me!

Best deli in Annapolis no one is even close. Staff is friendly, service is fast and efficient. Owner is always there and really takes pride in her business. Sandwich meat and bread fantastic, wine selection is the best in town. Overall a great experience and a must go for everyone. Fabulous.

Nice shop with a good selection of wines, pastas, prepared foods and sweets. I am a big chicken parm fan and have not found many places around where you can get a good chicken parm sandwich. This place would be the exception. You can also get ricotta cheesecake. It doesn’t get much better than that. I have yet to try their prepared foods from the freezer but assume they aren’t bad. Well worth stopping in if you haven’t already.

First timer — had lunch here yesterday. Got the Caesar Salad with chicken. Ordered it to go so I could take it outside — but I noticed they will serve outside as well. Most things appear to be homemade(or imported from somewhere legit; Brooklyn in the house, whoop!). Cute, busy at lunchtime, but efficient little place. Salad was delicious! Came with a piece of focaccia which was a nice touch. The only reason they didn’t get 5 stars is that the tiramisu I ordered was icy in the center, leading me to believe it was frozen at some point. Would definitely go back to shop or grab lunch!

Have previously reviewed as great but this business helped me tremendously twice in the past month while providing great product. 1st incident wrong catering order picked up, they delivered new one and swapped out incorrect one very quick. Second I was in a pinch to serve 30 people with two hours notice and it was no problem. Best deli hands down.

so refreshing to find a good italian deli in the area. so far all subs, pastas and soups i’ve tried turned out great. i can’t wait to try some of their other dishes. today, i brought the wife and daughter. they were sold on every single thing we ordered, which included a clam pasta, an italian sub, a minestrone soup, a capuccino, a gellato and an italian chocolate bar. every time i’m in the area i keep coming back. :-)

Great sandwiches start with the bread. Perfect Italian sub rolls. The Italian and the muffaleta are my favorites. Mediterranean tuna is very good too. Good selection of cold cuts and frozen Italian goodies. Wine selection is good and prices are reasonable. Very nice staff. One of our go to places.

I went to Annapolis for a wedding. After taking in the sight, I look for a good place to eat that’s not the touristy bar food. Found Giolitti near where we stayed. What a find! Authentic Italian deli. Must try Torta Della Nona. Custard pie with a hint of lime. Yumm!

I «discovered» Giolitti Delicatessen a couple of years ago and it’s been one of my favorite restaurants in the area since then. If you’re looking for wines, fresh bread, cold cuts, cheeses and yummy prepared foods, look no further. They have a wonderful variety of local wines and have sales on them often. They offer many different cheeses, desserts, prepared foods, and Italian grocery items. The staff are very friendly and always have smiles on their faces. You see the same staff every time you go in and they remember you. They greet you when you come in and thank you for your business on your way out. The food is consistently fresh. I order the same sandwich every time I go in and it’s always piled high with meat and fixin’s. It’s impossible to walk away from this place hungry. The place gets very packed around lunch time(12pm) so sometimes it’s difficult to find a table, or a parking spot! That just proves to me how great the food is! I tell everyone about this place. I’ve converted my family, my neighbors, my friends and even my friends family members into Giolitti Delicatessen fans.

We stopped in for lunch and loved our experience. I ordered a mozzarella caprese sandwich and my boyfriend had the ravioli. Everything was delicious and we really enjoyed the outdoor seating ! The prices were very reasonable especially considering the great quality of food. We will definitely be back!

Have been here twice. First time I had the porketta, and second time had the steak and cheese. Both blew my mind for the price to quality ratio. Will be back a lot more.

First time here. Had the porchetta Sandwhich and tomato basil soup which we split and it was plenty. Clean and friendly. Sandwhich was great. Bread used was outstanding. Will definitely be back.

Okay — tried my Italian sandwich again, and this time the regular soft roll. Awesome as always. Also did some Christmas wine shopping there. They have a unique selection at reasonable prices.

We stopped at Giolitti’s to pick up some pancetta for our home-made carbonara. Our local Italian deli had recently closed so this was our first time shopping at this location. The selection of meats, cheeses and wine was unbeatable. After our purchases we decided to have lunch in their restaurant section. Fantastic is the only way to describe the spaghetti and house special and the Cuban Panini which was also very good. This was during the week so I can’t vouch for the weekends. We will return for more in the weeks to come. The staff was friendly knowledgable. I love this place.

I came here to pick up a picnic lunch with my parents. I love a good, traditional Italian deli and this was exactly that. All three of us were extremely happy with our delicious, fresh sandwiches. We called the order in ahead and one of the sandwiches was wrong when we got there. They were extremely fast at replacing the sandwich and fixing the order and the owner took care of us personally, apologizing for the inconvenience. It was great to see a locally owned business doing so well and the mistake was fixed so quickly, I didn’t mind the extra time to browse all the Italian goodness offered in the store. The cannoli and tirimisu looked so tempting! I didn’t get any dessert this time around but I will next time! My sandwich was huge! I was stuffed by the time I finished eating and it was the smaller of the two sizes! Don’t get me wrong– I was stuffed but kept eating until there was nothing left but a few crumbs. All the ingredients were so fresh and it had real mozzarella on it. Mozzarella is one of those cheeses that is so different fresh from the rubbery, plastic-tasting cheese that you find in your average grocery store. It makes a world of difference and the sandwich was priced at a very fair, reasonable price. Overall, for the same price, the sandwiches at Giolitti Deli were a great value!

We visit Annapolis every so often as my brother is at the USNA. This was our first time here and I’m so sad we just barely discovered this little Italian gem! We walked in and were blown away at how much it looks like those small markets we passed while walking the streets of Florence. Absolutely gorgeous! THEFOOD: I have to warn you: unless you get a sandwich, I’m pretty sure everything is reheated via microwave. I’m not 100% sure, but from where we sat, I could see at least 3. Despite this, we ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese, Orecheitte, Meat Lasagna. All of it was delicious! We also enjoyed some prosciutto and baguette pieces: perfection. We finished the meal with a cappuccino, and a bottle of wine(to go!) THESERVICE: I was impressed by how much the owner(who’s originally from Milano) is involved with his customers. As this is a market as well as a delicatessen, he is everywhere helping people! There were a few other ladies around who were also very helpful, they appear to be particularly knowledgeable of the wine they sell. It was also warming to see that so many of the customers were regulars. We’ll definitely be back!
