Haven’t been in awhile and they’ve completely updated the place. Service is still excellent as is the food. Love it here.

My wife and I visited Chart House on Valentine’s Day(2016) and the experience was a bit underwhelming. The parking situation is a mess. I won’t bother going into detail, as I’m sure others have already done so in their reviews. We were seated at a table not close to any of the windows, so our«beautiful waterfront» view was an awkward neck-stretching one. I did read online that a water-front view would only be accommodated if one were available. Well there were many seemingly available, yet we were still seated in the bowels of the dining room. Not wanting to make a fuss, my wife and I just decided to enjoy what view we had. But considering it was Valentine’s Day, you would think they would seat a couple at a table with a view. Moving onto the menu. I only wanted a single glass of wine(I was driving and I have the alcohol tolerance of a squirrel) and asked the waiter what he recommended. He looked at me like I was from another planet and grumbled something confusing about their wine selection not being available by the glass. Well, after he walked away, I noticed a handy little section at the bottom of the menu that listed all of their wines offered by the glass. As for the food, the crab dip was amazing, and the salmon my wife ordered was delicious. Unfortunately the chop salad she also ordered was never brought to us and my wife had to remind the somewhat grumpy waiter that she hadn’t received it yet. He took a cock-eyed glance at the table, mumbled something unintelligible, possibly passed some gas, and walked away without another word or an apology. The chop salad eventually arrived, but remained untouched and was eventually boxed for later consumption. I ordered the 7oz Filet. I’m glad I didn’t order the 9oz because that would have been 2 extra ounces of dried gross meat as flavorless as the waiter’s personality. The Chocolate Lava Cake was orgasmic and definitely redeemed the experience somewhat. Had it not been for my gamy bland steak and the inattentive moody waiter, I would have given the experience at least 3 stars, if not four. All in all, it wasn’t a terrible experience, but when you’re paying north of $ 160 for dinner on Valentine’s Day, you expect to leave with a smile rather than a shrug.

Beautiful atmosphere! Can’t top this view of Annapolis Harbor. Great crab dip(I wanted to lick the bowl). I had the stuff flounder and it was delicious! This is seriously the best creamed spinach I’ve ever had! I can’t wait to go back here. I wish it was closer!

Chart House is obviously very expensive, but the atmosphere is a bit impersonal for the price. We came here for some appetizers and drinks the night of the infamous yacht club fire. Perhaps everyone was distracted, but the service was lacking. I did enjoy my tuna stack and moscow mule, though.

When we arrived at around 6:30pm on a Saturday evening, they were completely booked until 8:30. So we put our names on the list and took a seat at the bar, hoping a bar table would become available soon. About 30 – 45 minutes of sitting at the bar, we moved to a bar table. The appetizers that we ordered at the bar came shortly after sitting at the table. Our bartender served them to us. By the way, the bartender was awesome and made the some really good sangrias. We actually had forgot to tip him which I was bummed about. So we then had a different server at the table. She was pretty attentive and friendly. We then ordered our entrees and salads. The salads arrived not long after we ordered them. However, our entrees took over an hour! Our server apologized for the wait several times. I’m not sure if she forgot to put in the order or something went wrong on the kitchen but it was completely unacceptable! In addition to the wait, the food was mediocre at best. Three of us ordered fish and they were not blown away at all. I ordered the coconut shrimp with sticky rice. The rice wasn’t sticky. It was mushy with an unpleasant flavor. The shrimp was ok. The sauces were horrible. A few of us thought the salads were ok. We weren’t totally livid because our friends were treating us as they had gift cards. I have been to the Chart House in Alexandria Va many times and I was expecting so much more in Annapolis. A disappointing experience for sure! I gave one star because our bartender rocked. If I’m ever in the area, I will stop in there just to see if he is there so I can tip him.

I had the scallops italia with vegetable orzo as a side and while the service was very good, one scallop and half of another tasted ammoniated. For $ 38, it was really a disappointment.

So from the jump our waiter was on 1000. Ive never felt so much pressure to hurry up and order some in my life. No joke. So right before I had enough apparently he went to his manager and asked to be removed as our server. This was AFTER he ask to taste our wine and before we could say no(before the shock of such a request) he was pouring himself a shot. Just a wierd experience with that guy. So they gave us a new server. Brandon I think was his name. Very patient, very understanding and a great server. I had to go to he bar to get take advantage of the happy hour, which was not that big of deal. But the berry mule I ordered tasted like a carbonated, watered down fruit drink. Lastly after informing them of my wife’s and mother-in– laws birthday, they charged us for the desserts. Never had that to happen when you inform them of a birthday.

If I could rate this place below 0, I would. We stayed as long as we did on account of it being date night and because so many people had recommended it. The entire dining experience — not including dessert, took 3 hours. It took about an hour for one appetizer to come out and another hour to get our entrees. Appetizer, Kimchee Calamari was quite lacking. It had absolutely no hint of kimchee instead, it tasted more like spiced mayo. Lemon-Herb Crusted Salmon — unevenly seasoned and served lukewarm. My husband bit into a piece that exploded with a spice he could not identify and fair to say that it should not have been a part of the salmon. He said he’s had plenty better. Pan-Seared Rockfish with Lump Crab on top — Fish was unevenly seasons and served less than lukewarm. Vegetables looked and tasted like they had been sitting out all day. Asaparagus was stringy and carrots were hard. Lump crab had a sauce that I would describe as a bad hollandaise sauce. The manager did comp my meal and offered dessert on the house. So I took one to-go and here’s how that went: Key lime pie — tasted like it had been sitting next to fish or some fish sauce had seeped into it.

Subpar food. It came out cold. The hostess Jennifer was nice but did nothing to improve our experience. Never offered a dessert. My friend was allergic to something in her meal. Off to get Benadryl. Plus side, nice view.

7:30 reservation, to our table at 8:45. Poor service. Had to go to the bar myself to refill my wine. Party of 12 still waiting to order our food Many empty wine glasses. Spoke with management. No involvement… still waiting. waiting…waiting simply to order. Bets in for time we will finally receive our final bill. If we ever order. Update next day… The food finally arrived barely warm. One plate returned because it was cold. Frequent requests to speak to manager were ignored. One of our party finally got up and found him. He never came to the table to apologize. Another person in our party went to find the check at 10:30. Our closest guesser was the lucky one receiving $ 11 from our pool.

Hands down best restaurant in Annapolis and I was born and raised here. I also used to work for the Landrys company in another state and another restaurant and still have nothing bad to say. This is the only chain I ever eat at. The prime rib is divine. Salad bar that leaves you craving it for days.

I have had wonderful Chart House experiences up until about a year ago when I left the area. I recently tried to bring a guest here, and from reviews, it looks like I dodged a bullet. We arrived by water taxi to have a drink and small plate in the lounge, which was understandably full. What I had a problem with was that there is no space to wait for a table to open up. The lounge space appears to have been reduced considerably since the renovation. The hostess’s suggestion was to order a drink from the crowded bar and stand around, and remind us for the third time that the dining room was booked until 9:30. We left. Commenting a little more objectively on the whole restaurant, the remodeling job is really sharp. Lots of black and muted colors and it’s striking with the sunlight coming in through the massive windows. I was disappointed that we wouldn’t be staying for that view, but no one made any effort for us to do so.

Too much ado for nothing. Let’s put it this way, my husband proposed at Chart House in Alexandria. It has been our go to place for celebrations of milestones. Our latest celebration, he decided we could go to the Annapolis one. What a let down! The view was only nice for one of us, the food… meh. Clam chowder was great, but my husband’s steak was overcooked, he ordered medium. The décor is nice overall. Coconut shrimp was decent, rice that came with it horrible. We asked for 2 sides of mango sticky rice, it had no mango, wasn’t sticky and wasn’t even decent rice. I’m totally disappointed. My husband as well

I totally get the fact that when you go to Annapolis, MD and are looking for a restuarant that is sitting on the water with some amazing views with yachts and boats all around, you can expect to pay an arm and a leg for the experience. I just didn’t know if it was completely worth the price but I still gave it 4 stars for a few reasons: 1. The service was impeccable where the waitstaff was friendly, timely and attentive. We had a hostess that was super friendly and was joking with the table having fun. Our waiter was extremely knowledgable and made some delicious recommendations for appetizers and some honest recommendations on some items he might not recommend as much. 2. The view was amazing sitting on the water as the sun was setting watching the boats go by and the draw bridge lifting to let them through the harbor. Along with the view of the Naval academy right across the water it was just a breathtaking view. 3. The restaurant was super clean and there was some great presentations with the meals that were being served all around us. my wife got the coconut shrimp dish that was sitting in a bed of a flaky shell and had three dipping sauces to use with the shrimp so the presentation was great all around. The food however would be the only thing that I was expecting a bit more for the price point that we paid. I got the Prime Rib 14oz. that rang in at a cool calm 37 dollars and it was a bit overcooked. The other portion of my meal that I was floored by was the 17 dollar charge they gave for the salad bar but, this salad bar looked worse than a Ruby Tuesday style of salad bar. Although our food was not as great as we normally would like for the price we paid, the service made up for all of it and was willing to walk away feeling satisfied. But if you are looking to spend your hard earned money for a delicious and amazing meal, then Chart House might not be the place for you.

Felt like a VIP when we dined here for Brunch! The service, the view, the menu and the ambience are truly exceptional. I had the Crab Cake eggs benedict was very scrumptious. My husband’s steak was made to perfection. We also loved the variety in the salad selections. I especially loved the salmon and of course fruits. Because we booked our reservation through our concierge, we also got free lava cake dessert and a priceless view of the chesapeake bay! Although the Chart House is a chain and not a local annapolos restaurant, the experience was truly a memorable annapolitan experience! We will definitely be back

I used to be a HUGE fan of the Chart House in Annapolis, but my past two visits made me reconsider. I used to visit the Chart House about once a week and my wife and I would typically sit in the bar area. We enjoyed the menu and atmosphere as well as the service. More specifically, we loved the service provided by Omar. If you visit the Chart House, I highly recommend being seated at one of his tables. The Chart House underwent a renovation and lost is nautical feel in my opinion. It wasn’t a killer though because again, the food and service was amazing. I visited the Chart House on a Friday evening and sat in the bar area. The room was very warm for the time as the Air Conditioning unit was just started up. We ordered our drinks and our server brought out the wine glasses. The glasses were FILTHY! For a high end restaurant, you would think that one of the basic rules of wine is that you bring a clean and spotless wine glass. We told the waiter that we could not drink from those glasses and he proceeded to go back and clean them. From that point, the service started to go down hill and it seemed as if the server wanted to turn over the table quickly. We decided to leave. Most recently, I went to the Chart House on June 19th to celebrate an early Father’s Day dinner. We were seated in the dinning room area. My wife and I were running late and when we met with my mother-in-law and father-in-law at the table, the waiter immediately came to the table and said«What would you like to drink». There was nothing more… I just sat down and I didn’t even have a menu in front of me. He didn’t mention his name… didn’t welcome us to the Chart House… nothing. I took this as a sign. We proceeded to order drinks and appetizers and we requested a specific app from the bar menu. We were told from the server that the app is not available to the dinning room. I asked to speak to the Manager. The Manager came out and explained that we could order it, but it would be slightly different than the bar version and it would have a different cost. No big deal, we ordered it. Following that, the server brought our app and asked what we wanted for dinner. We said that we would like to continue to eat our appetizer and drink our drinks and we would order after(we like to enjoy ourselves and take our time eating). He then said that there was a party of 22 people coming and that we would need to be finished by 7pm. It was about 6:15 at the time. I was surprised that I was told this information and I was angered. We finished our appetizer and the server came back around at 6:30 and asked what we wanted to eat. We asked for more drinks and asked for a few minutes to digest and look over the menu. He again, said that he had a party of 22 people at 7pm. At this point, I was very upset and I said why did you sit us here if we can’t enjoy ourselves. He didn’t have a response and I immediately asked for the check since I was obviously not welcomed there. My mother-in-law and wife left to go to another restaurant and my father-in-law and I stayed to pay the check. The Manager once again came to the table and asked what the issue was. I told him about how we were being told about 22 people coming in at 7pm and he said«your waiter told you that?». I said yes, and I mentioned that if I want to be treated like that, I can’t eat at a Landry’s establishment again. The Manager said that the check was paid for but it didn’t make things any better. To make this long story short, I think that the Chart House in Annapolis is going down hill with service. The food and drinks are great, but I do not go to high end restaurants to be treated like dirt. I will never go to the Chart House again after these last two experiences.

I made a reservation for Chart House a few weeks ago for my father’s birthday and spoke with JENNIFER. She was incredibly friendly and made sure my father’s birthday was going to be a celebration from the get-go. The menus read«Happy Birthday(name)» at the top and we kept them as a souvenir. My Dad also received a card from the CH with a lovely message and hand-written note. Our server, OMAR made my father’s birthday an unforgettable experience. My father said he was the best server he’s ever met. Special thanks to OMAR! Sincere, friendly, attentive, recommended fantastic wine pairings and non-alcoholic(but fun) beverages with our food, he replaced our white linen napkins with black ones so we wouldn’t get lint on our black dresses, and although we already ordered two desserts for four people, he brought a special dessert for my Dad alone, on the house! Special thanks Omar, you rock! All of the food was excellent: highly recommend the Salmon Nicoise! My husband, an avid steak-lover, said the Prime Rib was the best he’s ever had. Classy place, superior service, unforgettable experience = homerun!

What a spectacular view of the water while we enjoy the great food prepared here. The calamari was excellent appetizer and the oyster phenomenal. I had a prime rib steak cook to my perfection. My wife had the pan chicken which she always loves. As we enjoy the great food we delight ourselves watching sail boats preparing to depart. The staff was up to par with the great view and great food. Wait wait wait. I can’t finish my review until I tell you about the DELICIOUS chocolate lava desert. That’s right that’s why I came here for but couldn’t resist to eat everything else I did. Five stars chocolate lava desert

This was my first visit to this Chart House. I have been to the one in Old Towne. I made the reservation online and called ahead to request a window seat. It was my husband’s birthday and I called ahead to let them know. They printed his name on the menu wishing him Happy Birthday. I had the ultimate margarita and it was wonderfully made both times. Most times the second drink is not made as good as the first. My husband had Sam Adams on tap and he said it was good. We ordered the Crab Dip, Calamari and Friends, Baked Stuff Shrimp, and Crab Cakes. My fav was the Calamari but it all was good and seasoned well. They brought him a smaller version of his choice of dessert on the house with candle for his birthday. Great service! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G view!

I got the cream of crab soup, crab cake, and shrimp cocktail the last time I was here and all was delicious. The soup came out cold and I had to send it back to the kitchen to be warmed up. The waiter was gracious and tried his best though seemed a little overwelmed with the crowd. I’ve been here several times and that seems to be a pattern, so we make sure we don’t have a committment or movie to go to after dining. As others have mentioned, it can get a little chilly at night or in the winter so bring some layers. The view is beautiful. I will be coming back.

We went to Chart House last night after having the hotel recommend it and make a reservation for us. That entire transaction itself was worth five stars. Special thanks to Janero at the Marriott Courtyard and Ashley at Chart House! The hostess explained that Chart House had recently undergone renovations, so we caught it on the second or third night open. Beautiful open spaces, fun bar area, and plenty of windows, which is great since it’s on the water. We sat at an amazing table overlooking said water. Our waiter Eddie was a nice guy. He seemed a bit tired? Quiet? Not sure, but he made two basic recommendations, one for apps and one for wine. Both good. Now, the dinner. We did the breaded calamari appetizer, which was good. Could have maybe used more seasoning(at least a touch of salt), but realize people can be sensitive to that. Regret: Didn’t get the sizzling mushrooms, but they looked fantastic. Definitely on my bucket list. I had the stuffed grouper entrée, and he did the parmesan-crusted snapper. His was delicious. Mine was, again, pretty light on flavor. The crabmeat stuffing was great, but the fish itself was bland. This one could have definitely used more seasoning. The lemon potatoes were spot on, though. Just one star off for food. Finally, as part of the hotel referral system, we received a free lava cake for dessert. We were already pretty stuffed, but maybe two bites were left on the plate by the end. That’s how good it was. .5 stars back on. Verdict: 4.5 stars. Great location, great staff, great drink/food menus(but maybe a bit more salt next time). Thanks for the awesome night, Chart House!
