Dr Merkel is so amazing! I was convinced I would never find another Dr as wonderful as Dr Bingham or Dr Argelous. Once Bingham and Argelous left I was so worried I wouldn’t find someone to really take my concerns seriously. I have had 3 losses between 12&20 weeks so I really need to trust my Dr to listen when I get anxious. I saw Dr Merkel because she was the only Dr with an opening on the day in which I needed to get in and I’m so glad. Merkel takes the time to explain things until I feel comfortable and she is an EXCELLENT listener. I have had some issues recently and she has been wonderful with her return calls and last min appointments. I really couldn’t be happier with Dr Merkel and her staff of nurses. I gave the practice 4 stars because Dr Welch is one of the WORST Dr’s EVER!

I would recommend Dr. Stitt, she is wonderful!!! Warning — stay away from Julie A. Viera, she doesn’t answer your questions very well and is HORRIBLE when giving exams — she forgets she’s dealing with a person and pokes at you, it is as if she is in a rush to get to the next patient.

Let me just say that I love my doctor. However, the practice in general is a pain to deal with to get a appointment. I requested to be seen sooner than the appointment they gave me due to concerns(you typically know when something isn’t right) and they would not see me any sooner because they felt there was no need. Whelp, I was right in my assumption that something was wrong and I am so angry that they did not make the time to see and examine me. I am now in search of a new OBGYN office because I do not want this to happen again. Do yourself a favor and find another office that takes pride in patient care and wellness.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I delivered my son early at 31.4 weeks. I had been to the ER prior to for heavy bleeding. The medical practitioners there said I was measuring much further ahead and that I was a high risk pregnancy and I should be in bed rest. I had called the on call doctor several times for bleeding and decreased fetal movement and they said it was fine and I did not need to come in. WRONG! I was funneling. If I had stayed in Florida for another 12 hours I would have been stuck delivering there. On top of all that, the doctor refused to listen when I said he was measuring big. She made an incision that was way too small and my son got stuck. He had to be resuscitated with chest compressions and was in the NICU for 3 weeks. It’s only by God’s grace that he is alive and well today. No thanks to anyone at Annapolis OBGYN. Do not come here for prenatal care.
