We discovered Annapolis Ice Cream Co ten years ago when we lived in Annapolis. Sadly, we now live over an hour away but we always make a point to stop in for a cone(or quart!) when we are in the area because they only use the best ingredients and have great flavors. If you are in downtown Annapolis, don’t bother with the other ice cream shops-this one is far superior. Love it!!!

In town for a wedding, and this is the only shop in Annapolis that makes its own ice cream from scratch. The staff is very kind and let me try an obscene number of samples. I finally chose the lemon poppyseed flavor and coconut chocolate chips. I am on the hunt to find lemon poppyseed ice cream again because it was absolutely amazing! Still haven’t been successful. HUGE portions too.

Annapolis is pretty amazing and this ice cream shop fits right in. Rich and creamy homemade ice cream in an historic town. Great selection of flavors and friendly staff.

Ice cream on a warm sunny day is perfection. The portions here are huge, with one of the biggest single scoops I’ve ever had. But hey, I’m definitely not complaining.

I asked them for their favorite flavor and they suggested Oreo cookies which I should say it is very delicious. I also asked for pistachio flavor based on my interest into it, but I should say it was not what I expected and I did not recommend it. Another good point about here is the amount of ice cream. I wanted 2 scoops and they gave me 2BIG scoops. It was great.

My husband loves this ice cream. When we go to Annapolis we must walk over from Eastport and get some ice cream from this place. So far my fav is salted caramel, but the flavors change(I think it’s a seasonal thing). My husband’s fav is always there, chocolate chip. Best ice cream in Annapolis!

Now, would I drive miles and miles just to eat a scoop? No. Would I drop in and grab a scoop if I was in the area? Probably. With all of that being said, their ice cream tastes good, but it isn’t one of the best ice creams I’ve ever had or anything. I tried the coffee & Oreo one, and it was good; reminds me of a frozen frap with a stronger coffee flavor. I ended up getting the birthday cake, and it was tasty; it honestly tasted like bits of yellow cake batter were blended into the ice cream. Service was prompt and friendly. There wasn’t a long wait either.

No visit to Annapolis is complete without a visit here. Bring cash as no cards are a accepted. Be prepared for a bit of a wait as this place is popular! The staff is super helpful and ready to give you free samples from dozens of flavors! My fav is a single scoop of moose tracks in a cup. This is the most flavorful moose tracks I’ve tasted. Likely they’ll be no seating outside, so be prepared to wander the area. Unfortunately, construction has closed the harbor but there’s plenty of shops and areas to sit and enjoy your ice cream!

Great blueberry ice cream. They seem to do a lot of adventures things with oreo including their strawberry oreo ice cream which wasn’t all that bad.

Yum! Just like the sign out front«Annapolis best icecream» it really is the best. The workers here are so nice. They let us try so many different flavors and didn’t mind that we took our time. She even told us that even if we get a single scoop of icecream, we can mix two flavors! I got the coffee chocolate chip and strawberry which were both delicious. I always get strawberry and this strawberry icecream was creamy and yummy. The coffee chocolate chip was so great. It had bits of chocolate pieces and a hint of coffee flavor. My BF had the cookie dough and the pistachio. He enjoyed the pistachio VERY much. In his words, «it’s not overly empowering and it’s smooth». I took a bite(not a huge fan of pistachio) but he was right. It wasn’t too empowering and was very good. The cookie dough was good but I think the coffee chocolate chip was too empowering so I didn’t taste much of it. It’s VERYVERY inexpensive here and I can’t wait for warmer weather to come back again!

This was definitely one of the best ice cream places that I have ever been to. I LOVE ice cream and the quality here was top notch. It is made on premises. I tried the coffee chip and it tasted like a fresh cup of coffee. Peanut butter oreo was amazing as well. I was allowed to try a bunch of different flavors and they were honestly all good. You can get two flavors in a small cup.

The ice cream here is good, but it’s not my favorite shop in the area. We came here after leaving lights on the bay, and thought we’d treat the kids to make the night a bit more special. The staff was nice, but the ice cream was rather pricey, compared to other places in the area(that also boast a homemade product). Overall they’re good, but I don’t get the Unilocal love affair with this location.

Everything about the ice cream here is wonderful. My partner and I came here on a warm day hoping to end off our day with something tasty. I was a little overwhelmed by how many amazing options they had. I opted for the pistachio and the mint chocolate chip. Mint is my favorite ice cream and at this place it reassured my love for the flavor. I also got a small, and was completely filled by how much ice cream I was given. I can’t wait to escape DC again and come here for more ice cream.

The best house made ice cream! They had a lot of flavors to pick from. They make all their ice cream with good quality ingredients and it is very obvious in the way that the ice cream tastes. It is simple and perfectly sweet and creamy. I got their Oreo mint and strawberry Nutella. The Oreo mint was refreshing and had the perfect bites of Oreo in it. Their strawberry Nutella was so good. It had a distinct strawberry flavor and chunks of Nutella pieces. It is also fun to step into the shop because they let you get a plastic spoon and use sharpies to decorate it. A fun activity to do with a date or your children on a lazy afternoon. This is a nice mom and pop ice cream shop on the beautiful strip of the peaceful shops in Annapolis. You have to try this place on your visit to Annapolis.

This is probably the best homemade hand dipped ice cream I have eaten in the dmv area. They definitely use real ingredients and you can taste it with every bite of ice cream. And you can trust me because I live for ice cream. I am a lover of all ice cream and I have tried ice cream at many many many different locations. The ice cream flavors are so varied and so different that you can crave any ice cream mood you are in. The ice cream is not overly sweet where you cannot eat too much. Their ice cream is sweet enough, it’s just right. I could literally eat a six scoop by myself. I do also want to add that the ice cream is super dense. Each bite is so deliciously creamy and packed with flavor. Sweet cream– My favorite is the sweet cream. It’s creamy and soft. It’s a surprisingly great flavor because it’s a neutral flavor that pairs with any other ice cream flavor. Cookie dough– real cookie dough and chocolate chips integrated into each bite. Strawberry Nutella– the Nutella is sweet and frozen to perfection. You can see the strawberry seeds in the ice cream. The two flavors, strawberry and Nutella, merge oh so perfectly together. Oreo and peanut butter– there are huge chunks of creamy peanut butter, the Oreo adds a lot of sweetness into the creamy vanilla ice cream. Also, get the three scoop. You pay fifty more cents than the two scoop and you literally get way more than an extra scoop. With the three scoops you get triple of what you get when you order the two scoop.(Look at my picture to see the difference between the three scoops versus the two scoops.) Ps. Don’t forget to decorate a plastic spoon with sharpies!!!(The shop’s tradition) It’s a fun little activity.

If this isn’t a little taste of heaven on earth, I don’t know what is! I am an ice cream lover… a lover of good, quality ice cream. Even when I purchase ice cream in the store, I’m usually sticking to Haagen-Dazs, Ben & Jerry’s, or Talenti gelato. I happen to work in downtown Annapolis and take many a walk down Main Street and this is one place I couldn’t pass up, especially after seeing all the great reviews. Got one taste of this ice cream and practically became addicted. It was so bad that a friend and I came here daily during our lunch breaks one week until we realized we were overdoing it and had to scale back. Three things I love about the Annapolis Ice Cream Company: 1. DELICIOUS Ice Cream 2. Great, friendly customer service 3. Frequent customer card(after making a certain amount of purchases, you get a free item) Bonus: You can sample as much as you want if you have difficulty deciding what you want. 2nd Bonus: If you only want 1 scoop of ice cream but want 2 flavors, you can ask for a half scoop of one flavor and a half scoop of the other flavor. All in all, they are very accommodating. Some of my favorite flavors are the pecan pie, pumpkin pie, apple pie, peanut butter vanilla, and peanut butter oreo. They can make any flavor of your choosing into a milkshake as well. I haven’t tried anything that I didn’t like here.

Tastey icecream. A definite place to stop by while visiting annapolis. Tourist trap? Maybe. Tastey? Definetly. I got the peanut butter oreo which is A popular icecream woth a scoop of salted caramel. I recommend those scoops. There some novelty in the place with spoons that are designed. Some are displayed on the wall. As for the icecream… only gripe… could have used more ingredients so all my bites had chunks of something in it.

I have to say I don’t eat ice cream very regularly, but damn, that is some good ice cream. I was instructed that two scoops was not allowed on a sugar cone because the cone could hold it. And this proved quite apparently true; the massive chunk that ended up on a cake cone instead was not cheap, but certainly was not a stingy portion. And that mint oreo flavor was pretty fantastic. If there’s one flavor I’m an expert on, it’s mint, and this was the richest flavored mint I’ve had in years, and you can’t go wrong with oreos as the mix-in. Annapolis is loaded with ice cream shops, but I have no difficulty seeing why this one places at the top. (Note: just ice cream here, nothing without dairy).

Really tasty ice cream in tons of flavors. We were visiting family and they said this was best. There were a million shops on the street.
