America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

I don’t know why I keep going back to this place. I should have stopped when the doctor told my eye was a «blurry ²⁰⁄₂₀.» God forbid you disagree with him because he will throw a tantrum and threaten you with things like bifocals and unnecessary test. Last time I got glasses there, it took them several times to order them. Once because the prescription was wrong and the next time, the glasses came back without ANY prescription.
The only reason why I gave this place a star was for the pleasant desk staff.

I just want to take a few minutes to commend this location on their superb hospitality and overall amazing customer service. It had been years since my last eye exam and I knew I needed some form of corrective eye wear but didn’t know where to start. I called around to see who had available appointments and everyone was booked until late afternoon … Except Americas Best. I used the Unilocal app to book my appointment for 10:50 am and they were running a free exam w/​glasses etc… Bonus. I walked in well before my appointment… 10:15 am ish. The front desk associate was very professional, just really welcoming. I told her I was early, I filled out the form, and she directed me to wait either in the main room or the back waiting room… Either was fine. I chose the latter. I was seen for the preliminary exam less than 10 minutes later by yet another very friendly and welcoming staff member. After a 10 minute basic exam I was finished and waited to see the optometrist in the waiting room. Less than 5 minutes later I was seen by the doctor who was relaxed, calm, friendly… Seems to be a trend here. It is. Sure enough… And much to the disappointment of my ego, I needed glasses. The doctor explained my options in detail and I shopped for frames in the storefront. The location was organized, clean, free of annoyingly pushy sales people. Problem free. Checking out was just as effortless. The associate recommended going with the special they had on saving 50% on the second pair of frames and I definitely agreed … It’s worth it if you like variety, especially if you’ll be using them daily. I opted with a few upgrades on the lenses as I’m quite clumsy and would most likely drop them at some point. Quick check out and friendly small talk from the team was very reassuring that I came to the right place.

This place is great! Made an appointment online for last Friday and when I got there they were able to take me on time! The staff, including the eye doctor was very nice and explained everything thoroughly. When my appointment was finished, they did not bother or push any glasses on me even though they saw me trying on multiple pairs. In the end I picked out two pairs of glasses and got an amazing deal thanks to their mix and match pricing. The staff informed me it would take 7 to 10 business days for my glasses to come in and it was only 3!
I don’t know if thats a regular occurrence, but I LOVED that my glasses came in early! I will never go anywhere else– these guys rock!

Terrible service — brought my daughter in for replacement glasses and myself for a contact exam and replacement glasses. Exam took all of 5 minutes (I’ve been doing this for 25 years and that seems like a ‘drive-​thru’ approach to exams). I was given a pair of contacts to wear for a week. They would not release my Rx to me until I returned (an hour drive) and let the Dr. re-​examine (I’m sure this would take all of 2.3 seconds at their rate). I was told I could do this when I returned to pick up our glasses. They called to say the glasses were ready and I said I would be in that evening to pick them up and be re-​examined in order to leave with my Rx. When I arrived, I was told the doctor had left for the day. This was over an hour before closing time. They had no explanation as to why the doctor (whom I was told would be there) was no longer there. I explained that I did not have another day where a two –hour round trip was feasible. No apology, no records, not even a decent excuse as to why they run a business this way. Could have something to do with the package they PUSH on you to keep you coming back for contact exams and ‘discounted contacts’. Yes — they got my money and I guess they thought, my return business. I have yet to receive my records, or contacts, or anything else from this hoax of a company. Wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy.

Steer clear! The doctor there will push a particular brand of contacts on you no matter what your preferences… go to a real doctor who is consumer oriented. I hated this place — wish I hadn’t wasted the money on their program.
