Fast and quick. The broth wasn’t something to talk about but if you’re hungry, anything goes. The staff attentive when you first get their and then you have to flag someone down. Kung Fu Tea is the only reason I had stopped by this place. Ok phở, decent service and it’s clean.

After grabbing bubble tea at Kung Fu Tea literally next door, coming here to actually satisfy our looming hunger seemed like the logical choice(apparently making a trip to my car — which was parked just outside — to go elsewhere felt like muuuch too long a trek to brave in the freezing cold, go figure)… The restaurant was fairly empty and looked like your typical phở place — a pretty bare bones set up, looked like almost any other phở place(with the exception of the pretty spectacular chandelier in the middle which seemed a bit out of place but caught our eye regardless). The spring rolls were a bit on the dry side and not as satisfying as I had hoped they would be, but our entrees were both tasty and filling(despite not actually being hungry I ended up finishing my entire meal so I figured that was a good indication I liked the food, haha). I will say that none of the items we ordered seemed super duper fresh, but then again we did arrive close to when they closed so I wouldn’t be surprised if we maybe got a leftover batch or something. Service was friendly enough too — I probably wouldn’t make a special trip out here, but if I had plans to be next door for some bubble tea I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to come back if I wanted to grab some grub!

I ordered vermicelli noodles with pork. The pork was so sweet and flavorful, I didn’t even use the fish sauce. The included veggies(bean sprout, cucumber, carrot etc.) were fresh. The noodles were a little clumped but still tasty. The best part was, it was nice & warm inside, even on the coldest night of the year(–1 ° wind chill outside). This shopping center keeps getting better, yayyy Annandale is finally getting much cooler! Right next to the fabulous Kung Fu Tea shop.

The Bun Thith Nuoung(sp?) is so good here. My husband specifically stated that it’s «f’ing awesome!» I have to agree with him. The dish tastes so naturally delicious. The earthy taste of the vegetables mixed with the egg roll and grilled pork is amaze-balls! I would definitely go back just for this dish. I also ordered iced coffee… It wasn’t that great but whatevers!

I go to Kung Fu Tea House a lot to get bubble tea so I wanted to try out this place next door. The shrimp garden rolls were good but they didn’t peel shrimp shells well. Bahn Mi(sandwich) meat was ok and the bread was stale. There’s definitely room for improvement. The staff are very nice and friendly.

I am really not impressed with quality and quantity of the food here. Service is passable, the waiters seemed clueless at times & the man up front who took my cash spoke little to no English. My group ordered 3 large bowls of noodles & they gave us this tiny tiny plate of vegetables to be added to our again 3 large bowls of noodle. See for yourselves fellow Unilocalers, I took a pic. Won’t be returning, coz this place is stingy & not to mention my large Phở had more noodle than meat for the special one. I’ll rather drive a few minutes more to Phở Hot where they are generous in portion.

Thought it was pretty good until the guy tried to overcharge me. I can’t stand dishonesty so no tip. I really like the star anise flavor but thought the beef broth was weak. Won’t return here. Everything was nice til I got the check.

Service was slow although the place wasn’t busy at all. I ordered to dine in but for some reason they had my food all wrap up to go. Its ok nothing remarkable or special about this phở place.

Found hair in my phở that was clearly not mine(hair was orangey-red and mine is dark brown). When my bf told the lady, she looked at my hair and was hesitant but offered a new bowl. The soup was watered down and the garden summer rolls only had shrimp with no pork. The lunch special is a good deal with a bowl of phở, spring/garden roll and drink for 10 dollars.

One of my favorite, local phở restaurants! My parents enjoy the phở here, both with hot soup and dry. I personally enjoyed the banh xeo(Vietnamese crêpe) a lot! It’s a bit pricey($ 9.50), but it’s made fresh and very big! I like how they made it so that the crêpe part is «inflated» and SO crispy! They made it with the pork inside the crêpe skin, and the shrimp is inside the crêpe with the bean sprouts. I found the bean sprouts to be too much, but I finish the entire dish every time. Take notice in your bites! You can definitely taste a hint of coconut, and its so sweet! The fish sauce that is accommodated with it is pretty sweet as well, but the aroma isn’t so potent so you wouldn’t have to worry about your breath I guess haha. Definitely check this place out! Atmosphere is bright and it’s usually empty whenever I go too. Outdoor seating is available, and they offer many other Vietnamese dishes that other phở restaurants don’t usually include(like banh mi, Vietnamese sandwiches)!

New phở place in Annandale, VA in Hmart shopping center. So parking is plenty and for a quick fix. I wouldn’t recommend for phở here but other food yes, because phở broth was very light and rarely any taste, the bowl was small also. I ordered bun nem nuong and it was okay, the egg rolls were not as crispy as I would like, the portion is a bit small also.

We came here after work to try it and to our surprise it was quite tasty. The place was clean and you get the same old service as any other asian place, so get use to it if you want good food in a hole-in-a-wall joint. Food — B+ Com Tam with egg and quiche, avacado bubble tea, vermichelli noodles and eggrolls. Clean — B(they should reconfigure the doors coming out the bathrooms) Service — B as usual, nothing special

A group of four of us had dinner at Phở Ahn Duong on Sunday night. First impression of the restaurant was that it is really nicely decorated, comfortable and a beautiful chandelier in the center of the dining room. I was also struck by the fact that this place is super clean. Even the bathroom was really nice and immaculate. The menus were really nice, complete with photographs of all the dishes. That is very helpful. The server came and took our orders. We had the soft Vietnamese spring rolls for appetizers. They were fresh and tasty. I had a Thai bubble tea which was refreshing. Service was excellent! Very friendly and quick. We had a variety of entrees — beef, shrimp and pork. I couldn’t resist sampling my friends dishes, and they were all delicious. Ingredients were really fresh. I was super happy with my dish which had shrimp, pork and noodles(number 40). Really tasty! My friends also loved their dishes. I am looking forward to returning and trying the phở. This is a great restaurant if you are looking for some Vietnamese food.

Their chicken phở and crispy spring rolls are on point! I didn’t season my broth besides adding the greens in – it’s a big plus on the flavor that I didn’t even think it needed hot sauce. Spring rolls are very nice – not oily!

I live down the street from this place and was so excited to see a phở place open so close to home. My family and I(total of 4) went last Wednesday 4÷8÷15 to try them and arrived around 8:30 pm. Upon entering, there was an old woman cleaning up the tables and about 15 other customers in the restaurant. We sat ourselves as the server was busy at the register. We sat for about 5 minutes and he did not even come over to the table to give us menus. My Husband went up to the register to get us menus and the look of realization on his face reminded him that he never came to us. He gave us 3 menus. Mind you there were 4 for us. A few minutes later, he came to take our orders and brought 3 glasses of cold water. Eeehhh… So my Father asked for hot water instead. My Mom asked him what was in the noodle sate and he rudely said, «I don’t know. I’ve never had it.» Hmmm… ok… She decided to order the Bun Bo Hue. About 10 minutes later, he came out with 3 bowls of phở, her soup came out about 10 minutes after ours did. All 3 phở bowls were luke warm. The broth was pretty clear and the flavor was mediocre. My mom’s soup was piping hot and seemed decent. My husband’s soup literally only had 4 pieces of meat. We told the server that our soups were not hot at all and he said, «I don’t know, that’s the kitchen.» What!!! YOUSUCKANDYOUARERUDE. When we saw who seemed to be the owner, we told her the issues. She apologized and said she wouldn’t charge for my husband’s bowl and explained that they ran out of soup. We also mentioned that my dad’s hot water never made it out to the table. As we are eating, they closed the restaurant at 9pm. They turned away at least 10 customers as they were supposed to be open until 10pm. The feel of the place was OK however the big chandelier and medallion on the ceiling does not fit the type of restaurant it is and looked ridiculous. The floors were super dirty and looked like it hasn’t been mopped or even swept in days. The prices are a few bucks more than what you would pay at the other local areas for lesser quality and horrible service. Don’t waste your money or time going, you’ll just be disappointed. Especially, if you had to pay full price, you’d be pissed.

Phở… another place that serves it. it’s okay… bit pricey without their current deal of $ 4.99 small and $ 5.99 large normally a large bowl is $ 8.25 oh and did I mention that’s not phở dac biet that is actually $ 9.25. Things are bit pricey… and service haha… don’t make me laugh it’s a Vietnamese restaurant probably family owned there is no good service. Unless it’s a slow day… which usually mean food lacks. Portion size here confuses me the large bowl does look a bit steeper however I’m guessing that’s all broth. I don’t think I’ve ever ordered a large bowl of phở and finished it but I did today. Overall they have a decent variety… I can only comment on phở and it was okay. The location is small so if it’s full you’ll be waiting.

This place tastes like other Phở Restaurants I have tried around Fairfax. Went here on their second grand opening with my family, with empty stomachs so we did have a good meal with hot Phở for a cold windy day. The waitress there was very nice, the cashier man looked rather rude. I asked for a take-out menu but they didn’t have it, and I asked if I could order through phone, he said no. So they only do eat-in and carry-out, I guess. The place was newly built so it’s pretty and tidy and cozy and I totally love the atmosphere there. They only serve Phở when I came and I never tried other things on the menu because the cashier man said no to everything but Phở. And their Phở is not that special. Just a taste you can get in any other place. I wish to try other thing but maybe when they welcomingly accept orders beside Phở. I observed the waitress and I think she was not allowed to take the tips from customers. We did leave tips but she either took it and put inside a box on the counter or the owner(I supposed) took them beforehand. Waiter and waitress live off from tips so I don’t like the way they treat their employees like that. And I over heard that they paid not that high to take away all the tips. Hopefully they will allow them to keep the tips, or I suggest you guys should leave little tip(Since the owner will take it and they don’t even work as hard as the one serves you) or secretly tip the waiter/waitress(But they might get in trouble so …). Anyway, it’s on sale since it’s grand opening and give it a chance won’t hurt.

Very flavorful broth. Tender meat. See the full menu (Pictures attached) It is a given that since it is the opening weeks it will be packed full of people. Friendly service met at the door Space can be a little cramped because of the area of the restaurant but parking shouldn’t be a problem DOESNOTACCEPTCREDITORDEBIT as of this moment

Located in the same plaza as H Mart off of Heritage Drive, Phở Anh Duong is a new addition. They just opened today(4⁄4), and they currently have a ‘grand opening’ special — a large bowl of phở for $ 5.99, and a small bowl of phở for $ 4.99. This deal is only for dine-in and runs until 4⁄13! The staff here are friendly, and everyone is excited to have a new addition in this area! There’s plenty of parking in the shared lot, but just be cautious of fast drivers! +grand opening on 4⁄4 +large bowl of phở: $ 5.99 +small bowl of phở: $ 4.99
